I'm prepping the first encounter of CoBI, and I can't figure something out. In Onailati's tactics, it says that if he is reduced to < 30hp he teleports back to Khala so preparations can be made for the PCs arrival (the adventure even goes on to say that it assumes that this occurs).

My question's pretty simple: How? He doesn't have it as a SLA, it's not a typical ability for a maurezhi, nor a Julajimus, and the Acolyte doesn't have the spell on his list of spells known. Am I missing something (which is entirely possible)?

Did anybody else catch this, and if so, how did you work around it? I doubt my PCs are experienced enough to catch it (and I know I sure didn't the first time I played Tide as a PC!), but I like being fair anyway. Darn Lawful alignment! :)

Thanks for the help, fellow STAPers!

Well, tonight's the night. Standing fast against the Prince of Demons, the following group of heroes will fight their last battles in Wat Dagon tonight:

Lord Admiral Darius Saul, Dragonborn Dragon Shaman 13/Fighter 4/Legendary Leader 5

Skelthane Seabeard, Dwarf Wizard 13/Demonwrecker Arcane 4/Archmage 5 (I think)

Vorel "Grace" Troth, Dragonborn Cleric 11/Combat Medic 5/Demonwrecker 4

August Simons X (his tenth incarnation), Aasimar Factotum 20

and Mad Roger Rackham, Captain, a human Swashbuckler/Ranger/Leviathan Hunter whose levels I've never been able to keep track of.

To all like-minded adventurers out there -- wish us luck! We've been playing for over a year, and I've never enjoyed a campaign as much as I have the STAP. I'll post full details as soon as the dust settles and everybody is healed or laid to rest. ;)

Otherwise entitled: Holy crap, is that another artifact?!

So we kick the crap out of some more demon armies, and find that...

Spoiler:

Gorgant's chest includes, among many other items, something called a +5 sunshield. Our gaming group scoured what sourcebooks we have, and couldn't find the item in question.

Finally, one of our players suggested that it might be the Shield of Prator, and I can see the logic: the SoP is a +5 heavy shield emblazoned with the face of the sun -- that could be a +5 sunshield, right? But I'm inclined to believe it's something less powerful, and wanted clarification. Does anyone know what the stats for this item are -- or, better yet, where it's referenced?

Thanks!
