I will be GMing this adventure path starting this weekend and I was curious to hear about other people's experience running or even playing in the sewer encounter in The Bastards of Erebus . I was going to pre-roll encounters and sewer features but I think I will go with rolling on the spot.

So tell me please were there any snags running it as the author proposed? How did the players respond to the GM not drawing a map out of the whole sewer system? And most importantly, was it a good time for all?

Thanks much

Can you take the iron hide feat more than once?

I have a player in my game who has taken the improved natural armor feat from the Bestiary three times. I like to play by RAW. Is it allowable for a pc to take a feat from the Bestiary?

I have looked at numerous threads and maybe I missed this so I am going to ask this again. I have a monster who has the grab and constrict abilities. He can do this with each of his three tail lash attacks. Now am I correct in assuming I can do the following on a full attack:

1. Hit with tail #1, use grab, deal constrict damage, release with a free action.

2.Repeat with tail #2.

3.Repeat with tail #3.

To me it seems obvious I should be able to do this since grab allows you to start a grapple as a free action and you can release a grapple as a free action, but everyone knows how much this ruling it up for debate.

The grand finale of Second Darkness today so I need an answer quick please :)

I hate to complain because I have received 95% of my orders from Paizo in excellent shape but I feel this must be heard as I have heard of this happening before. When I received my order today, both Pathfinder Adventure Path #35: War of the River Kings (Kingmaker 5 of 6) (PFRPG) Print Edition and Pathfinder Chronicles: City of Strangers (PFRPG) Print Edition the corners were very bent. I downgraded to standard mail delivery after having it shipped the next highest option ( I cannot remember which), and have never had this problem before.

I am not looking for a replacement but I am the type of person who keeps my vast collection of Paizo material in excellent shape. I wash my hands twice before I even open a copy, no joke, a little OCD I suppose.

Anyways, do I need to change my method of shipment or is this just a one time occurrence?

To give you some further information and one you will discover when looking at my account am sure. When I look on my subscription page adventure path 30 is listed and the next one that is listed is 32. Completely skipped over 31.????????

I placed this order today and put in the holiday10 code, my invoice does not appear to have given me the 10% discount however. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to give you a little more information on this, I put in the holiday code after I proceeded to checkout, I then went and changed my card information. When I came back to the checkout page the holiday code was gone and I had to enter it again. I don't know if this will help or not but I thought I would let you know.

My question is can a pc who has the summoning ability summon a creature into an area with a dimensional lock spell? I would think the obvious answer would be no but upon looking at the description of the spell it does not specifically say so. It only implies at the end of the description that summoned creatures can go away when the summoning spell ends. Also, if a Teleport spell would not work why would a summoning spell work? Maybe because you are traveling through the Astral plane? Dunno? This question would obviously apply to creatures that you are summoning from your own plane.

Dimensional Lock

You create a shimmering emerald barrier that completely blocks extradimensional travel. Forms of movement barred include astral projection, blink, dimension door, ethereal jaunt, etherealness, gate, maze, plane shift, shadow walk, teleport, and similar spell-like abilities. Once dimensional lock is in place, extradimensional travel into or out of the area is not possible.

A dimensional lock does not interfere with the movement of creatures already in ethereal or astral form when the spell is cast, nor does it block extradimensional perception or attack forms. Also, the spell does not prevent summoned creatures from disappearing at the end of a summoning spell.

I assume that by taking this feat which allows you to maintain a grapple as a move action you could then take a standard action and attack another foe?

It seemed pretty straight forward at first but then I got to the part in the description that says this feat allows you to make two grapple checks if you so choose, which got me thinking that it only applies to multiple grapple checks.

I do no think this is a misprint or I would have put it into the Bestiary errata thread, but I noticed something the other day and wanted to run this by some of you folks.

Concerning the Barbed Devil and his impale ability: A barbed devil deals 3D8+9 points of damage on a successful Grabbed opponent with a successful grapple check. Simple enough right.

Now under grab in the universal monster rules section it states that unless otherwise noted this ability can only be used against a creature/pc who is one size category smaller than the monster.

Now here is my question. Considering the general Barbed devil is a medium sized creature this pretty much means he will not be allowed to use this most times considering the vast majority of pc's are medium sized. Was this done intentionally being the Barbed devil already has a pretty substantial amount of other special abilities or was this an oversight and hence should be able to use this against medium sized creatures as well?

So I am running The Armageddon Echo and the pc's have just entered The Academy of Arts. I am curious as to hear how other players have fared.

Especially regarding:

Spoiler:
The battle versus the rock and the Abolith. Both of these encounters, especially the vrock, seem pretty deadly. I must say I am quite looking forward to running this part.

I have the basic extension and it works pretty good. I am wondering how this extender would work? Any comments?

OK, I have 6 items in my shopping cart, I want to check out items 1-3, but still have items 4-6 in my cart for a later date. I have not yet figured out how to do this, can someone help me please?

My order was supposed to include Pathfinder chronicles: Second darkness map folio along with two game mastery spell templates. I received the spell templates but instead of getting the map folio I received the second darkness players guide instead. My billing receipt shows the correct items that I ordered if you need me to scan this over.

Your attention in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

So I was looking through the pdf on how to start play in the pathfinder society and I had a couple of questions that the pdf did not answer.

Can I join the scenario anytime during the course of the season?

I assume at the conventions they will run scenarios at different levels of play?

I am concerned with the lack of conventions and re-occurring game dates in my area. I checked out the paizo site and http://www.warhorn.net/ for places that sponsor PFS and I was only able to find a couple of places, with only one within a 50 mile area where I would drive. Is there a better source for me to find games or am I just in an area where there is not much activity? I am concerned with joining and than not being able to find a game. I suppose I could run games at home but I would rather be a player and I already have two campaigns I am running.

I stumbled upon an old thread that discussed condition cards. Unfortunately the thread is so old that the links to the condition cards no longer worked. Does anyone know where I can obtain said cards for 3.5 or the PFRPG? Better yet do any of my paizo brothers and sisters have a file that I could download?

Thanks in advance,
eirip

Quick question concerning the guards and wards spell. I am running my pc's through a fortress where the secret doors are hidden by said spell. Does an elf get the search check when within 5' of the secret door affected by the spell?

Hi all, eirip here. I have been skimming the boards for awhile but since I am not a very good conversation starter I do not post very often.

Here is what I wanted to talk about. How is 4.0 doing as far as profitability, likability, and bringing in new players?

I myself have bought the phb but I wasn't really prepared for what a difference it was. To me it seems like a decent game but not at all what I grew up playing and currently am playing in 3.5. They have really dummied it down for lack of a better term. I guess that is good for people who are brand new to the game but I found it to be a bit tedious to read, like reading an abc book. Again, I suppose that is good that they explained it down to the nook and cranny for newbies, but for me it just turned me off.

I don't like that they have gotten rid of the spells, or replaced them with powers. I like my wizards to have spell books. I HATE the skill system, as I the majority of the time play skill based pc's. Scrolls, potions, are there any of those???

As far as what paizo is doing with pathfinder I think it is totally awesome. I think it just needed a little tuneup of 3.5 and not a complete rewrite of the rules with them putting a video game on paper, binding it up and calling it a book.

So how are the people on the WOTC message boards liking it?? I used to go on the boards here and there but since I discovered pathfinder and Paizo I spend all my internet time here.

That being said, despite my complaints, I do plan on playing 4.0. I just think it may get a little old after awhile. I am sure I will get bashed for complaining about a game without playing it but those are just my first impressions. Maybe I will change my mind when I do play, who knows, but I do know I am sticking with paizo from here on out.

Can you use power attack and combat expertise in the same round, and would the penalties stack? If yes could you please provide a reference so I may show to my group.
