Hello all! GM Fanguar has been nice enough to allow me to join your game. I'd never heard of Age of Worms before this, but I love Greyhawk and am looking forward to playing. To fill the gap, I will be your divine caster; a swashbuckling cleric. I already know that your dwur barbarian is looking for religion and I am happy to report that my character is the one to bring him over to the light side. Welcome to Lirr, goddess of Poetry, Prose, Art and Literature. Mwahahahaha!

Ignoring the spider, Aerel plunges his dagger into the sleeping rat.

Coup de Grace Double Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11

Might as well make it three critical hits in a row, even if the third one is slightly a cheat.

Alexite stayed for the unveiling of the main attraction. When the creature was brought out in a cage by the carnies, he frowned. Keeping such a magnificent specimen locked up was a travesty, especially as it was no mere animal, but an intelligent species. Ilsurian had to admit that she was quite striking, seemingly possessed of an animal magnetism. Such a feral attraction was having an effect upon many of the assembled spectators.

When she began to speak, he became even more intrigued. Almars Delisen asked for questions from the audience. Alexite asked, "What is it that you have over this carnival which keeps them in service to you?"

Is it possible that we can post our actions and if it conflicts with the rules, the GM will gently point out our error/misbelief? It would seem to be easier.

If some event prevents a character from praying at the proper time, she must do so as soon as possible. If the character does not stop to pray for spells at the first opportunity, she must wait until the next day to prepare spells.

I forgot to mention that Saturdays suck for me. I am almost always at a RL game all day. Was the site down for everyone today? I couldn't get on late last night when I got home and it was still not working this afternoon when I got up.

I am going to post another response now and I'm sure that Hurkkagg will answer once he's back in town; if the vikings didn't split his skull and take his woman.

Hurkkagg eyes the small female as she approaches him. He says nothing but his blue tinged nose wrinkles and snorts lightly as he takes in her scent.

Not born of the deep this one. Not dokk-olv, but dokk-olv blooded...

The giant goblinoid leans forward so his slave brand on his ear is visible. He then answers in a raspy low voice:

"Hurkkagg no out of place. In his place."

A throaty basso reminiscent of a rockfall rumbles up from his chest as long fingernails from a gracefully tapering hand lightly scratch under his chin. Whether it is a growl or a purr is hard to distinguish.

VIKINGS!!!

Northmen plying the seas, raiding the coastal cities and putting the fear of 7' tall, 300 lb, bearded men with greataxes into everyone. (Gee, can't imagine why) Sailing the coastline of Varisia laying waste to every settlement you find. (Burn Sandpoint! Burn!) Sailing through the shadowy waters of Nidal before slipping past the Chelaxian naval blockade of Aroden's Arch and wreaking havoc on both Avistan and Garund. Sailing into Byzant... er, Absalom to trade your plundered loot and hand over all those poor orphans you took in to good loving homes. (Which way to the slave markets?) Then it's back the way you came to do it all again, hitting the bigger cities for better loot... and more orphans. (We've heard the horror stories of what they're doing with the orphans in Isger and damnit, someone has to save them.)

Arrive back home just in time to send off your own beloved Linnorm King (may his longship run agound a sandbar and he die of thirst before he even sees Arcadia), break the heads of all those upstarts who thought themselves your better (or worse, your equal) and get to go out hunting a linnorm to prove that all of civilization rightly fears your battle prowess(but not nearly as much as they do the body odor and rancid breath. No, not the linnorm's).

Turning to his smaller companion, he mutters, "Þó að vera heiðarlegur, börn gera ekkert fyrir mig og þetta virðist vera annar bær of litlum fjölda fólks."

Hey all! We had our monthly software release last night, hence the late arrival.

As Skane said, this is not our first go 'round with partnering (Ah, Hakon and Abitan...), even with this particular pair of vikings. I expect this to be great fun for all of us. Yes, Björn is the party's enforcer of fun. I think the picture bears out this truth.

Kaldrnorð is our homeland and Ísáinheim is the largest settlement in the region. This 'home on the ice river' is famed for it's river; both that it remains frozen year round and for a unique breed of remorhaz. The ice river is solid most of the year save for the high summer when it can warm enough that the ice will crack and break under the weight of a full grown Þursfyrðar. Adding to the danger, and the thrill for local hunters, the river is home to a strange offshoot of remorhaz.

Some more regional fluff:

These aquatic beasts constantly move through the ice of the river using their internal fires to heat the armour plates on their backs to melt the ice, providing the water they need to breathe. As with other remorhaz, they are solitary creatures, save for in the deepest days of winter when they will search out others of their kind to mate. Coming together in groups of up to a dozen, they writhe in the ice forming mating balls. These balls of remorhaz melt the ice into large spheres of water. In large groups, the water can boil through the surface ice creating geysers of superheated water which explode into plumes of snow, or even ice leaving towering sculptures in their wake. The unwary are sometimes caught in these plumes, instantly frozen or worse, falling through the brittle ice into the undulating mass of superheated scales and maws.

Young are born in the summer when there is free flowing water running under the ice. They swim in the frigid waters throughout the short summer months, learning to regulate their internal heat to prepare themselves for the icy autumn.
