The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!

You may have a point Urizen.

Still like others I have seen racism everywhere. Living here though it does seem pretty bad. Though it is probably just the general area. Other parts of KY I have lived in here better than it is here.

Then again I remember stopping for gas once in Chicago and was unnerved because after I went into the gas station and paid I was followed to the car by 3 or 4 guys. Admittedly I was one white guy in a seemingly black neighborhoold but it was just kinda creepy.

Same thing happened in California I was driving up to Sacramento from LA and passed through a small town and seemingly the entire town stopped what they were doing and watched me drive down the road stop and get gas and leave.

Maybe none of this was seen the same way by the other people and it was all in my head. It wouldn't be the first time something felt off and I was the only one to blame.

Now for a glass of that whiskey.

It isn't that uncommmon here. I think maybe its a requirement to make good whiskey.

That's ok. People can name their children whatever they want to.

This is true but they should consider what that name is going to do to a child. Sorry but some names are just crazy.

I mean I have met someone named Ted E. Bayer. That is just cruel.

I have been looking for a large flat storage case/carrier to keep all my maps in but haven't been able to find anything of the proper size.

Does anyone here have any idea where I can find one?

Cheliax damnitall22 (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Companion Subscriber)

I don't really have a game night. I get 5 hours every other week from 1 till 6. Four kids at young ages means little game time.

However, in a few years I won't have to leave home to game.

I hadn't realized what Tiamat was going for these days. Maybe I need to get rid of some minis.

Cheliax damnitall22 (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Companion Subscriber)

Now this has nothing to do with my son staying awake. I am positive that none of the books in the home could cause his problems. Then again maybe I should just burn the house down. Then I would know for sure that nothing in or of the house is the problem.

Ummm well according to her most of my novels would have to go. For some reason she didn't like, "The Lucifer Principle" moreso than the rest. Oh well they are good neighbors just a little weird over things like that.

Well my 2 and 1/2 year old son has been waking up recently and not being satisfied until the wife or myself lay down with him long enough to go to sleep.

The funny thing is when my wife told our neighbor his wife stated that it's because I have D&D minis and books in the house. She assured my wife that if she would just gather all that stuff together and burn it that my son would then sleep soundly all night.

She knows this because when her son was 16-18 back in the late 70's he started having nightmares and thinking that his D&D things were talking to him. So she burnt them and he never had those problems again.

So my question is should I burn all my gaming gear or just laugh in her face?

*Joking, there is no way I am getting rid of my stuff. My son would kill me since he plays with the Gargantuan Dragons all the time. Just had to post because it was funny*

Cheliax damnitall22 (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Companion Subscriber)

Terek

Not sure why you had to ask me this but I suppose I should tell.

You see we have experimented heavily with flying cars and have found them very detrimental to life.

It seems not everyone is prepared to have the choice of up,down, left, right etc.. The redneck boy we let test drive dumped all of his friends out of the back while trying to go mudding while flying.

The other experiments were no better.

In fact of every person we let test drive only one group seemed to be capable of surviving. It seems that anyone over the age of 70 doesn't drive fast enough even in the air to really cause a problem. (There were a few exceptions who flew too high and crashed.)

Therefore, for the benefit of humanity we have decided to pursue teleportation instead.

I will update you on that in 100 years.

Cheliax damnitall22 (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Companion Subscriber)

The other four members of the party were not so lucky, however. The trample maneuver (6th lvl PCs for APL +3, btw) was sick. Round one, party's horses ground into paste, with all PCs taking a major hit. Round two, the PCs tried to scatter, but the "hut" was just too fast. Everyone below half. No one could make the save DC.

The wizard finally nova'd and saved the day.

When the "hut" finally went down, the players actually stood and cheered. Thanks again for the help.

One of my favorite quips from anyone in the military. (Concerning some Boyscouts on a military base.)

Female Interviewer: So, General what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

General: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.

FI: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

Gen: I don't see why, They'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FI: don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching to children?

Gen: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FI: But you're equipping them to become violent killers!

Gen: Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

*Silence and interview ended*

She hits me in the back of the head. Cops come after 5 minutes of me trying to avoid getting hit by them both and try to arrest me. She was mad at me for interfering with her relationship and calling the cops on them. Cops get the story and arrest both of them and let me go.

I think that qualifies as "no good deed goes unpunished".

Been there as well. Except the guy slung her heavily adorned key chain at her. I caught and stepped between them. He threatened along the lines of I'm bigger than you and I'll kick your ____. I responded with maybe but I promise you I'll give as good as I take. He sulked and then left. She walks off without even a thank you.

The biggest good deed I ever managed was on the way home for a 4 day weekend while I was in the Marines. I had just got my enlistment bonus and was planning one hell of a weekend. However, I stop at some middle of nowhere gas station to fill up and as I am leaving town I see this family standing on the sidewalk watching the firefighters put out what was left of their house. I inquired as to whos house had burnt and the father with tears in his eyes said it was their home. So I got out some money and gave it to them and said it was just a little something to help. I got in my car and was about to drive away when the dad rushes up and says he can't take it. I told him to take it because he would put it to better use than I would. He asked my name and I told him it didn't matter, said goodbye and drove away.

I still have no idea who they were but I am sure most people aren't used to strangers walking up and giving them a thousand dollars then leaving without dropping a name. I have never told anyone outside of family and close friends about it. I try to good as much good as I can. As my father used to say, "A man is only as good as his name." I may tend to come off as an a-hole but I just try to do the best I can. That one event however has always stood out in my mind. I have no idea why I did it. It's not like I really wanted to but it just felt like the right thing to do.

In the end I hope it helped them out and I wish I could manage to do it more often.
