Hello all, As of October 7th, the last day of Nuke-Con I will be stepping down as Venture-Captain of Omaha. This is not done in response to anything or because of any issues I have with anyone, in fact I consider myself to be on good terms with almost everyone. Another opportunity has come my was which you can read about HERE if you so desire. I have learned a lot from Mike, Mark, the other VOs and many of you that I hope I can take into this new experience. I'll still be lurking around in the shadows and playing the occasional game but will be slowly fading away from regular play as I ramp up the new opportunity. Thank you all for the good times. Hey gang! I've apparently lost my mind a bit as I'm already planning Nuke-Con 2012. I even have a preliminary schedule done. The question I have for any of you is this: How do I get you to come? I'm willing to bend pretty far to get you in those doors for some Pathfinder, now what do I have to do to make it happen?
Hey folks, So, we finally got off our duff and set up a Warhorn site for our Game Days in Omaha HERE. If you are in the East Nebraska, West Iowa, Northeast Kansa, or Northwest Missouri area or just want to get your game on and passing thorugh you can see what we're doing there. This is the regular Omaha Cavalier Game Day on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month as long as there isn't a convention or othe major event to get in the way. The Cavaliers have ben around for over a decade now and have supported OP since the Living City days so there's a lot of history there, some good, some bad. If you'd like to play PFS but don't want to play with the Cavs or perhaps have another venue you'd like it to be offered in please contact me off list and we'll see what we can do. I'd LOVE to see the community in the area expand and am willing to do what I have to in order for that to happen. Anyway, look us up! Clint Blome
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere so my guess is that I missed it. Several of the mods have a Year of the Ruby Phoenix logo over the normal Pathfinder Glyph of the Open Road on the top left corner. Is this symbolic that these mods are invovled in the meta plot? If so, kudos on making this easier to find for folks looking for the metaplot mods.
Pathfinder Society returns to the Omaha area's biggest convention! I am in the process of working out the schedule of events for PFS in order to make their prereg book which told me it was time to let those Paizoites who visit these forums aware that Nuke-Con is just around the corner. I plan on having 4 tables/slot scheduled but generally have room for more or less tables as need be. Looking for a particular event? Let me know and I will try to work it into the schedule! The big thing is, we would love to try and have the Pathfinder Special event from GenCon. However, in order to hold that this year, we will need at least 5 tables of players. If you'd like to come down and play the special and/or judge it for credit towards that ever elusive 5th star, we'd love to have you. Many other Organized Play campaigns will make an appearance as well. ~Clint Go to Nuke COn.
Just a note. If Paizo has no plans to re-release this product, can we please stop having it in new mods? It is nigh impossible to find a copy and constantly seeing it show up in mods only serves to annoy. Yes, I know it's fairly easy to draw, but if I have to draw it anyway, perhaps the mod writers could actually make a map personalized to the encounter instead. Just frustrated. :P Clint
In another thread Mark Moreland posted: Mark Moreland wrote: There will be many outlets to get Pathfinder Society Quests and we're (obviously) not against spreading the net a little wider to show people who may not know about PFS what it's all about. For the time being, Ambush in Absalom is the only Quest, and thus requires access in digital or physical format to KQ #17, but we'll have them available other places, including paizo.com as we add to the number of resources for this additional PFS adventure series. I'm curious as to what point the net gets too wide? How far before this starts making people uncomfortable? I was thinking that going to KQ seemed a stretch, but then I remembered that Dragon/Dungeon on occaasion had valid Living Greyhawk information, so they're certainly not doing anything out of the ordinary. For me, when organizing PFS becomes too much of a chore is when I'll stop. Spreading material out between too many sources is part of that. So is having too much to carry with you to run an event. Keep in mind this is mainly just a mental excerise. I don't think we're even close to point where it becomes a real issue to anyone (that I know of). |
