Lots and lots of great stuff! I really can't stress this enough...

But...

Some of the options for spellcaster in the first chapter seem very sketchy. They would be hard to drop or use in my campaign without more rework. Also a number of them reference other Kobold products (which I don't mind, but in the interest of full disclosure...).

The spell seem well balanced for the level, though of course, YMMV (your mileage may vary). Most of them work just fine, others are ... odd and and have specialized uses. But hey, in a world of magic, who is to say that specialized spell for what-have-you aren't around?

Over all I am very satisfied with my purchase and I love the book. Highly recommended. It gets the creative juices flowing!

Deep Magic (PFRPG)

Its a great book. Lots and lots of great stuff! I really can't stress this enough...

I expected graph paper about 30 squares across and then rolled up on a tube. And that was exactly what I got.

What i didn't expect was the paper. I thought it would be notebook quality paper. or at least something solid. What it is is paper that has the consistency of Christmas wrapping paper. So it works, but don't be too rough with it or it might tear.

Also, as another review said, it's brown. I would have preferred white, but i happened to turn over the paper and it was white there and the blue lines on the brown side •barely• showed through, but the showed through enough that with good light you can see them.

So what I got was what was promised. My expectations were set too high though.

Gaming Paper: 1" Squares (Roll)

I guess my expectations were high. I expected graph paper about 30 squares across and then rolled up on a tube. And that was exactly what I got.

(4 stars)catdragonhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy82r5?Pathfinder-Chronicles-Classic-Monsters-Revisited2008-04-25T15:27:29Z
Pathfinder Chronicles: Classic Monsters Revisited (OGL)

I love this book. I received it and had to set it aside for a day or two while real life calmed down, but once I started reading it, I couldn't stop! Classic monsters are revisited and bells and whistles were added to each one to make them almost new. Each classic monster was not changed at all as far as game mechanics are concerned, but how they behave, their motivations, and their ideas on how they "fit" into the world were changed.

It made me want to create a kobold & lizard man adventure right then and there.

My only complaint, and its a itsy-bitsy small one, is that the info on goblins and ogres were repeated from the Pathfinder modules, so I already had those most of those entries.

Pathfinder Chronicles: Classic Monsters Revisited (OGL)

I love this book. (3 stars)catdragonhttps://paizo.com/products/btpy8oyy?GameMastery-Map-Pack-Graveyard2006-02-09T13:10:29Z
GameMastery Map Pack: Graveyard Print Edition

I picked up the graveyard set as I had an encounter planned that took place in a graveyard. At my LGS, the product was ~$10. Still I thought it was worth it.

The good stuff: The art work is great. The colors vivid (even for a graveyard) and the detail interesting (the empty grave with the headstone marked 'C. Eastwood' made me smile). And not often do you find a map that actually have the gravediggers shack mapped.

The bad stuff: The cards are roughly 5"x8" and light. There is no way to hold them together so they won't slide off kilter. This could make running an encounter with them difficult with out some sort of modification (I plan on using Velcro at the corners to hold them either down on a velvet pad or to fasten each card together).

Still I felt there was something lacking. Especially for 10 bucks. I would liked to have seen something fluffy and/or crunchy on the back of each card (mine are completely blank). Something like a suggested creature, or perhaps possible tactics for the bad guy or creature encounter within. Anything.

Without that something extra I felt that I could create these cards — except I have absolutely no artistic skill. And the artist of these cards is very very good. :]

A middle of the road product in my opinion.

GameMastery Map Pack: Graveyard Print Edition

I picked up the graveyard set as I had an encounter planned that took place in a graveyard. At my LGS, the product was ~$10. Still I thought it was worth it.
