Hey,
Looking for a couple of players for my Ravenloft / Zobeck campaign... Two of my PCs can't really make it anymore...
Look for Miranda's Journal on the Fraternity of Shadows website to get an idea of what's going on... I am the DM and we have Patrice who is a Wizard (with some Akashic abilities from Arcana Evolved).
We're in the process of wrapping our brains around the Pathfinder rules that just came out! It's pretty laid back and we just want to have fun!
Right now, with just one PC and a DM, it's starting to look like that Fear of Girls video on UTube... :)
Not really, but it would be more fun with 2-3 PCs!
We're playing in French, but we could probably whip up some bilingual thing if there is a need...
Patrick
PS: We play in Montreal
PSS: We also play lots of Open Design, so if you own this stuff, you will have a lot of spoilers...

AE is AU with the Diamond Throne setting in full color.
What's new:
Three additional Evolved racial levels.
PLUS probably the errata included.
AND probably some minor stuff I'm forgetting.
If you're a completist, it's worth it.
If not, I don't think you NEED it, but it is nice to have everything altogether.
I had both and gave my AU to a friend, he now plays an Akashic in my Ravenloft game (!).
Try to find the PDF version when there is a sale on(?).
But I don't think it's worth 100$ if you already have it.

This has probably been addressed elsewhere, if so I apologize.
About skill ranks.
I think for class-skills, we should keep the Level + 3 max like the OGL.
BUT, for cross-class skills, let a character buy them 1 point for 1 rank. Not two points for one rank: Too costly. And then max them at Level + 3 divided by two like the OGL.
Just my two cents.

It is worth the money!
I was a patron for Tales of Zobeck and this one.
And, for my part, I hope to get more Zobeck Gaz soon!
And to echo what Watcher said, some parts sounded very interesting and unique and yet the more Wolfgang was talking about the project, the more I found myself wishing we had more room and more topics that could be covered!

Well here is the answer I got from my comic guy...
----- I sent a product inquiry to Diamond regarding Pathfinder Vol. 9. They say that they didn't receive enough of them from Paizo to cover all of their orders and they don't know when they will. They could show up next week, they may never show up. It's too soon to say with any certainty at this time. Sorry that I don't have any better news for you about this. -----
And I ordered the Beta PFRPG from them too.
Crap. I am a bit worried. (But all other Pathfinders I ordered (7-8-10-11) came in.
So is it the chicken or the egg? :)
Any suggestions?
Thanks Patrick

I started ordering my Pathfinders through my local comic book store.
BUT, I got PF #7, 8, 10 and 11.
It is distributed through Diamond and my store is waiting.
Does this mean I will not get #9?
If so I'd like to know before I can't find it anywhere else.
Thanks.

Count me in for the final release.
My budget cannot support the Beat release too. Actually, let's blame my kids. :)
What I have seen so far really pleases me!!!!

I agree with you DeadDM, it is a bit more complicated...
But right now, the PFRPG gives too much access to too many skills IMHO.
That's why I wouldn't mind the extra record-keeping in this sense...
I will try to post what I am working on later (I am at work).
Given the choice, I would choose skill points I think.
But that's the kind of game I PREFER. To each his own really.
I am really looking into some hybrid that gives some sense of reality...

There is an in-between to the skill system.
How about so many points/level depending on class?
(I need to work on this.)
Let's say for class skills.
One point: gives a rank of character level minus 2 (All of this plus MODs)
Two points: Gives Char level.
Three points: CHar LVL + 3.
Cross-class:
One point: Half-char LVL minus 2.
Two points: Half-Char LVL
Three points: Half-Char LVL + 3.
Just something I was thinking... If somebody has already come up wiht this and I missed it, my apologies.
This way it would give the possibility for being very good or average with skills with less numbers involved????

Did I miss this?
When are the next Beta testing PDFs coming out? I want to try them out soon!
I am very excited about the PFRPG!
I wasn't going for 4E because I was very happy with 3.5. My thoughts (months ago) were that Wizards should have done a 4E compatible with 3.5(!). And this is what Paizo is doing! Wow.
Paizo got me back into 3.X stuff in a big way!
The quality is really amazing!

Wow!
This kicks @$$!
I am very happy.
I would have been torn if Paizo had gone with 4E all the way, cos I wasn't and I really respect your products!

Not to start anything but...
Am I the only one bored with rehashing Hunter's origin / stalking someone and then killing them like a shadow, etc.?
I really mean no disrespect, but it just doesn't feel original or interesting anymore...
