Paizo Order #31387470

Thank you

Also its just one quarter....

I have not actually looked at the Oracle much, and so that is what I was worried about. Also, if we happen to find or make any wands of curing, the ranger and bard can also use them.

We are kinda old school, in that the adventures are normally not tailored to the party make up if that makes sense.

Here is the current makeup of the new party:

ME- ????

Player1 – Oracle

Player2 – Bard

Player3 – Ranger

Player4 – Fighter Type

Player1 is a newbie to all RPGs
Player2 is a vet
Player 3&4 have never to my knowledge played PFRPG but have played 1e/3/3.5

I really don't want to play a mage since I have a 12th level mage in the other PF campaign that is on hold right now.

Thoughts?

Thank you!!!

I was thinking about keeping our minis on the table but not keep using the grid (or hex) battle map like we do now.

Any advice or problems?

Using the image extractor from SomePDF.com, I extracted the image of the map from the Stolen Lands book. Using PosterRazor from http://posterazor.sourceforge.net/ I created a multi-page PDF of that image to print (using a 2 inch overlap so I could make sure and have whole hexes).

I then printed out the hexes onto cardstock, cut 'em up and am gluing them to a piece of foamboard as my players explore. Beats a hand-drawn map any day.

For those interested in using Mighty Empires tiles, you can view the PDF that GW made freely available some time ago here:

Do you think you can email me that multipage pdf so I can see how you did it?

Not sure how I am going to do it either, but I have my 1st session on Saturday so I need to figure it out.

I do a 20 point buy. Most PBP games also do 20 point buy from what I see.

15 is abit spartan to me.
25 is abit too super-heroic to me.

For the most part, the 20 point buy got us (modified by racial mods)....

Elf Ranger- STR: 15 DEX: 16 CON: 12 INT: 12 WIS: 13 CHA: 10
Gnome Bard- STR: 8 DEX: 14 CON: 16 INT: 12 WIS: 13 CHA:16
Half-Elf Sorceress- STR: 10 DEX: 15 CON: 11 INT: 14 WIS: 10 CHA: 17
Human Fighter (not in the group yet)- STR: 17 DEX: 13 CON: 15 INT: 10 WIS: 12 CHA: 11

YMMV, I like the 20 point best. :)

All stats start at 10 instead of 8 correct?

I will probably go ahead and get the PDF, can't hurt.

I also am worried about keeping the game exciting and high energy since I have no experience really running sandbox style.

The players are more use to being lead by the nose.

Okay, we are pretty much dumping 4e and switching to PFRPG. I have been volunteered to run it. :)

Anyway, these are the products I purchased:

Core book
Bestiary
Gods & Magic
Kingmaker
Guide to the River Kingdoms

I have read through King Maker several times now and I think I am ready to run it. One of the things I am worried about is I don't have any real maps of the World. I don't have a good feel of what is around the Stolen Land or what is going on in general.

Do you recommend any other products I can get? I wish the map of the inner sea was out, but its not.
