I think it would help tremendously if:

1)magic items had reduced prices
2)gold pieces were also reduced in availability/quantity

That way, relative prices would be the same(or tweaked) but you wouldn't have to carry around so much coin. It would also increase the shock value of finding a large stash of coins.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Where are these polls?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Thanks Cosmo. You guys rock!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

thanks guys!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Cosmo, would you please check to make sure I am on the monthly shipment for my subscriptions? The last three items(including the Harrow deck from this order) are coming to me separately. I am less concerned with getting a product a little later in order to save on shipping.

Also, when I signed up for the Chronicles subscription, I missed the first two items- Guide to Korvosa and Rise of the Runelords Map Folio. Would I be able to add them to a future order(or this one) as a part of my subscription?(along with the PDFs, pretty please)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Keep the Vancian. Anything else you either damage backward compatibility or maybe should look at 4th.

My simple fix:

Alter the bonus spell/day chart for high ability modifiers. Increase the bonus slots for low-level spells.

options:
half-price potions. My players never bought them(for years!) until I lowered the price.

adjust prices of pearl of power at all levels(minor)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I like the new turning rules.

The only thing I would like to see added is a series of feats supporting it.

examples:

feat to hit only allies with the healing
altering the area or enlarging area
boosting the damage/healing -empower, maximize
creating a bolt for increased effect (mini heal/harm) with ranged touch to hit

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I like skill points and would like to see them stay. Here's my suggestion on skill system:

keep the new skill list with the combined skills.
add +2 skill points/L to all classes, including the x4 at first level.
keep the new system for monsters and NPCs.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

My vote is no new races in the core book.

I wouldn't mind seeing (ONE) races book though.

And my suggestion for there is:
Liontaurs!(wemic)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Agreed. Please keep the 3-18. If you want to include a short section on various methods of rolling ability scores, that would be fine. Rolling for scores is a big piece of DnD to me.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Just curious. Been using blope for too long. Also Is it possible to do it without changing my (awesome) tags?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

My thoughts on paladin and my house rules for it:

keep LG!
other alignments should have their own class in an 'evil' book. Blackguards etc.

I give paladins(and rangers) a domain. They only get domain spells up to the 4th level slots.(I realize domains are changed, which I like btw, but this is what I use now.)

I bump up the spells to 1st level. An extra clw is not breaking the game. The spell/ day does not extend beyond current chart.

I give an option of an extra bonus feat in place of the mount selected from fighter list.

I don't give smiting stuff, as extra smite feat is available as well as items that boost this ability.

With the new turning mechanic, you could roll lay on hands into turning.

Change the front-loaded nature of paladin so it is better for long term and not dipping.

Add abilities which make the paladin more clearly defined 'martial' cleric.

Keep code of ethics/honor.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Here's what I like:

max hd plus con at first level(plus feats if chosen)

I notice some bad rolls have really hurt char in the game I'm in right now. So I'm going to try something new next time I'm DM:

Roll twice at each level, and take the better roll. I like the random factor, and this should prevent successive bad rolls.

As for first level, add a minor 1-6 points for race
AND instead of the -10 to death, have it be -CON till death. This is only bookeeping for players, monsters could still have a set amount. I have no doubt players will keep careful track of this. With the cleric's new turning healing, char death should be rare but possible. I don't like my players feeling completely indestructable.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I disagree. As long as the quality remains, so will the business. Quality always sells.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Same here. I received Pathfinder 7 and the chaos module yesterday in separate packages.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

My local group has little to no interest in 4th.

A play-by-post site I am involved with that has over one hundred active members(and looking for new players soon if anyone is interested). There is practically no talk at all amongst that large group.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

1)maybe, but holding out for 3.5 to continue with quality publishers
2)I will still get the first 4thE adventure path, but after that a serious decision will be made on whether to switch editions.
3) If you do not switch to 4th, my purchases will likely remain the same or increase(hello pathfinder chronicles I'm lookin at you)

My group is completely indifferent to 4th. Almost none of them spend time on any DnD messageboards and are for the most part completely unaware of the Anti-4E hate. About half of them never bought anything more than two PH(3.0 and 3.5) throughout 3rd edition. We have a weekly game, even with wives and kids. So we get a lot of gaming in. My guess is we will continue with 3.5 until we see how 4th shakes out and if we like the rules once we see them. And yes we have 5 out of 7 of the players have taken turn as DM. So there is a LOT of adventures we have to go through yet.

If 4th is high quality, I could see that we would switch regardless of having leftover adventures. But I just don't see it. I am very blah towards the OFFICIAL releases I have seen so far. I am the one who pushed the group to move to 3rd(and then to 3.5) I am not making that push this time. I just saw the rogue preview on the other thread. Very unappealing to me.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Yes, I just gave fire shield as an example. I don't usually have these problems. My players don't pour through the books looking for every last broken thing they can find. I'm sure if Robilar's was used as intended, it's not that bad.

Another option is to give the baddies blink/displacement. I'm sure there are other options. But you just turn it into a arms race and that's no fun for anyone. Maybe talk to the player about toning it down so you don't have to nerf him?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

defensive spells are a DM's best friend. OR have fire shield or somesuch on. The fighter will take damage every time he hits.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

voted. only four votes to tie. Maybe someone could move this thread to a more visible spot on the boards? Not that I didn't like most of the books on the poll, but I had to support my favorite game company. :)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Ok, I feel calm again. Reading too much 4e boards gets me upset. Let's start a new character advice board.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

My wife likes to call it Dorks N Dweebs.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Thanks. I guess that definately increases the value of the subscriptions then!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Got my Green Ronin order on Monday. I received all 21 items I ordered. For those still waiting I say have patience. I was expecting the long wait so wasn't too worried. Thanks Paizo for the continued excellent service!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I like the idea of the free pdf's to go with my subscriptions but I don't download them yet. I will prob do so when I actually run the adventures so I can print out some of the artwork to use as handouts.

Is there a time limit to download them? What if I get a new computer and want to d/l them a second time onto the new machine. Is that allowed? What if my comp has a meltdown?(this actually happened to me once. My wife called and asked if it was okay if smoke was coming out of the back of the comp?) Will I be able to d/l them as replacement copies?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Thanks for the info guys. Anyone want to add anything else?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Is anyone here playing this system? Could you give me an overview, how many stars do you give it etc.? I'm thinking of looking into it. I wanted some feedback first.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

What about orders already placed but not shipped yet?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I would like to see an unearthed arcana type book with a rules update for 3.5. No need to redo the PH or other core books, just a separate book with lots of good rules fixes like polymorph, LA, grappling etc.

3.75 seems to draw too much flak. Let's call it 3.6 (or 3.P!)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Except here. Home of freedom of DND speech.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I have to say 3.5 for probably two years at least. My group is not likely to switch unless I nudge them and I am nowhere near sold on 4th yet. We still have several adventures to run through.I just finished 'Age of Worms' a few months ago. (loved it by the way.) Haven't run SC or ST yet, and next time it is my turn to DM I will most likely be running Pathfinder first before those other ones.

That's just me. With 5 out of 7 in our group having at one time taken a turn as DM, we could have a long time before running out of useful 3.5 stuff.

If Paizo does switch to 4th, I will most likely keep my subscriptions, but I could see my home group not playing those adventures for several years.

If 4th does completely wow, I could see us switching sooner.

On a side note, I play on a play-by-post site with over 100 very active members, and there is little talk or interest among them for 4th. They live all over the country though so I'm not sure what they plan to do with their home games.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Would this item turn sneak attack damage into energy damage?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Is there an estimate on when those orders are shipping?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

When it becomes available will you make an announcement for it?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I noticed there were two modules listed for November. If Pathfinder double ships one month, will that keep the modules sub up to date? Otherwise they will be one behind what could otherwise be ordered at the store.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

waitaminute. We have to BUY the minis for use on the 'dnd table' ?

I am going to give 4.0 a chance when it comes out. Though I do not plan to get anywhere near the splatbooks I have for 3.5

But there is no way I will convince 6 of my friends to shell out 10-15$ a month/each for a subscription to this online stuff, and more for the extras? No thanks, I'll stick with pencil and paper.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

is there still a good supply of D0? I don't want to miss it.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

you could reduce the tresure also. that would compensate for the extra power they gained from the extra levels.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

It seems to me many people on these boards and others are saying that if Paizo switches to 4th edition they will also. But if Paizo sticks with 3.5, then that's where they will stay. Paizo could very well determine whether 4th edition lives or dies...

And since Paizo listens to their customers, I'd say we do have a voice on this new edition after all.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

does that mean the subscriber copies are sent to be received at approx. the same date? (29th?)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

I was thinking recently since we are soon starting a new campaign at my local game that there is something missing from your product line which could prove very useful.

character sheet folders.

The ones on the stationary sections of stores never seem to quite do the job perfectly. Considering the extremely high quality work coming from here lately(and as always), I thought I would throw the idea out there. I think it would make a great addition to the gamemastery line.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

maybe you could make a contest out of it with something from gamemastery for a prize.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

third domain is a house rule, though I heard there is an extra domain feat floating out there somewhere. No deity I know offers those domains as a combo. He does not worship a specific deity. Moradin is not a choice for war domain either.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

ok, more info as requested: I was making a dwarven cleric. warhammer and shield; war, time and courage(I like the spells) for domains. I hadn't forgotten about spells, I was just trying to concentrate on items and feats to see if I had missed anything.

I missed the MIC item that lets you use increased weapon size, I'll have to check it out.

Does anyone know if the 4th level dwarven substitution level counts as weapon specialization to qualify for melee weapon mastery?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

My players went with "Bane of Kyuss" and then continued to use the name throughout the campaign. Made for some memorable moments with Raknian.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

thanks.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

My goal is to add everthing I can think of to my char base dmg.
So far I have:

-Belt of STR
-gauntlets from MIC that add +3 if you have the War domain
-magic weapon enhancement from MIC that add +5 to dmg
-reserve feat from complete champion adds highest war domain spell level memorized to dmg
-4th level dwarven cleric substitution level gives +2 dmg
-radiant fire initiate feat adds +2 vs. evil creatures

did I miss anything?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

what if I have already signed up?

and is there any difference between having the shipment wait for the pathfinder or the module?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

Awesome thread. I agree very much with most of it. I would like to add one of my own: I sell all potions to my players at half-price. This seems to be the right amount that they will actually buy and use potions but not spend all of their gold on them.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Tales Subscriber)

so if I add a sub to the modules today, which will be the first one?
