Zhiyo-san was born in Vincent Village in the Gream Sai Forest. He had a relatively normal childhood, however he was quite often playing with his innate magic and was thus picked as an apprentice to Gitsu Farulo, the village mastermage. After several years of tutorship Gitsu-sama sent Zhiyo out on a quest to and was told to return when he had found 12 rare spells, only then could he be named a full mastermage. So he eventually joined the ATA to see the many different places of the world in his search of rare spells.
