Zerekias was born and raised within a nomadic tribe. He never knew his father and his mother passed at a very young age.

The rest of the tribe collectively took care of Zerekias. Obviously, growing up as he did, you learn to survive one way or another. When he was old enough, he was expected to do his part in survival of the tribe. If Zerekias learned anything growing up it was: you do whatever it takes to keep your people alive. Secondly, you do whatever it takes to keep yourself alive. But if it was necessary that the latter was sacrificed to protect the former... then so be it. Zerekias grew up never really knowing a childhood. It was always spent surviving. Especially against the various gnoll bands throughout the region. And seeing how he just wasn't quite old enough to make a real difference in combat, he was always quick to move any wounded out of harm's way and tend to them as best he can. While he wasn't able to make a difference in battle, he was able to save several lives in the process. Needless to say, it wasn't difficult to hate these creatures.

And hate them with a passion.

They were the reason he never knew his father; and the reason his mother was lost to him so early as well. Zerekias has never forgotten that day. He watched in horror as his mother was taken from him by the gnoll "demons" and ever since, it's been his mission to put an end to their kind. He vowed to himself after that day that he would make it his life long mission to put an end to all the gnoll tribes that have threatened his home... permanently.

Fortunately - seeing how his people have managed to fend off the gnoll tribes over the years - they've been left alone for several years. But that hasn't changed Zerekias's determination in the least. He come of age a long while ago and is more than ready to pay back the "demon dogs" for all the injustice done to him and his people.


Zerekias is about 6'2, 200bs. Fairly good looking for a nomad but doesn't possess a lot of charm. Due to hard living and the loss of his parents, his ability to relate to people is "difficult" to say the least. Mainly due to the fact he doesn't really know how because he has really never dealt with anyone outside of his own people.
