Born in a small town Zen lost her parents when some bandits raided the town. Zen was only 11 years old. She was found by some passing monks on their pilgrimage. They took her to the nearest monastery to learn the ways of monks so that one day she will be able to protect other families from the same fate as hers. Once in the monastery she proved to be a fast learner and very adept in the ways of close quarter combat. In the 8 years that she lived within the monastery walls she learned all that the Brotherhood could teach her. After many days of conversing and suggesting Zen finally agreed to begin a pilgrimage to the main city of (insert starting city). Zen was instructed to speak to the master in charge of training to see if he had any suggestions on where to look for some form of employment.
