Born in the city of strangers, Kaer Maga, Zeljka's mother did not have the easiest life raising a half-orc daughter, sired in slavery to Belkzen orcs. She made ends meet as a barmaid, never forsaking her daughter despite her being a constant reminder of her captivity.

Zeljka spent the majority of her brief childhood running with the other half-orcs of the city, before after one particularly dangerous run in with a rival gang, her mother pushed her to apprentice with a Bottoms blacksmith. She took to weapon-smithing like a fish to water, and it seemed like she would become a master craftswoman. Though financially she could be rather irresponsible, using the pay she managed to scrape together to get an expensive tattoo at the Burning Brand.

Her seeming destiny as a premier craftswoman wasn't to be, as one morning, attempting to get out of bed, Zeljka fell flat on her face, her left leg having become stiff and twisted overnight, laming her. There appeared to be no remedy for her, slowing her down and making her out to be a cripple. Despite this set back, Zeljka had a sudden vision, and set out to spend several tireless days and nights at the forge, creating the greatsword that she saw. After finishing the blade, she showed a display of prowess with the weapon despite never having wielded one before.

The call to battle overrode any simple life she might eke out as a smith, and after making a few more weapons, buying a set of armor and setting out as an adventurer, making her way across Varisia and slaying any foes that she came across. She truly believes that she is Gorum's chosen herald, that through his guiding hand she will defeat powerful foes and be a powerful figure for all half-orcs to follow.

Zeljka cuts a powerful figure, standing at six foot three, a hundred and eighty pounds of muscle underneath her thick half plate armor. Her face is much more human than orc, only the slightly protruding tusks and light green skin showing her half-or heritage. Her hair is shaved at the sides, the rest braided towards the back, and she peers out from under her helm with dark brown eyes. Under her armor, she has a large tattoo spanning her whole back depicting a battle between Belkzen orcs and Lastwall knights - a sight she would only show a lover.
