There's basically two questions here. 1. What is the DC of the Athletics Check? I would personally interpret it as Fort DC as normal for Grapple. We have nothing to work with here, and it has to be something, so Fort DC is naturally the closest thing we have. 2. Is it just Fail/Success, or are there 4 degrees of success like Crit Fail/Fail/Success/Crit Success? I personally feel, since Grab doesn't work like Grapple, that it's just a Fail/Success type of deal and not the 4 degrees of success. (I feel it's also kinda silly for a Halfling with this ability to be able to get Critically Grappled as a result of it, and it is equally as silly for the Halfling to be able to trip something that is grabbing on a bite or something due to a Crit Fail (Which, with the other part of the ability, would be also on a Fail))
You're assuming a lot here:

As grandfathering was mentioned, have to say I'm not a fan of that. I have many grandfathered characters in PF1 and I'm still not a fan of doing that. It creates uneven opportunities for players. However, still have to give full support to a full rebuild for those affected by this. Yes, there has to be some good faith behind it (If you just bought the item but don't really use it just to get a rebuild... do you really need a rebuild?), but that's unavoidable for RPGs in general.
Thanks for the answers (and the history of it, Zwordsman). I have heard from some GMs that they are interpreting it (even in PFS) to mean you need to have Assisting Shot to be able to do the thing. Probably going to take it anyway for my character just to avoid arguments. This is reminding me a lot of the Prone Shooter feat in PF1 before it was errata'd: Linky
I was looking at creating an Aid build using a ranged weapon to Aid on attack rolls. When I reading through the Aid action, I didn't see anything restricting you from using a ranged attack to Aid. However, someone quickly pointed out to me that there's a fighter feat called Assisting Shot that supposedly allows you to Aid at range "instead of being within reach of the target." However, I can't find anything in the Aid action that has any kind of restriction on reach. Does Assisting Shot currently do anything? Or does Aid have the restriction because Assisting Shot exists? Was just wondering if Gestalt rules could work in this edition. Just brainstorming the following rules: HP: You take the higher of the two classes.
1. Can you increase the damage from Titan Mauler with an offhand when you have a large weapon in one hand and the other non-large weapon in the other, because you're "wielding" one already? 2. Can you apply it with Raging Hurler with a thrown weapon in offhand, even when it's not Large, because you're "wielding" one already? Titan Mauler wrote: You can use a weapon built for a Large creature if you are Small or Medium (both normally and when raging). If you’re not Small or Medium, you can use a weapon built for a creature one size larger than you. You gain access to one weapon one size larger than you, of any weapon type otherwise available at character creation. It has the normal Price and Bulk for a weapon of its size (page 295). When wielding such a weapon in combat, increase your additional damage from Rage from 2 to 6, but you have the clumsy 1 condition (page 618) because of the weapon’s unwieldy size. You can’t remove this clumsy condition or ignore its penalties by any means while wielding the weapon.

I'm guessing the ruling from THIS BLOG still stands? Fantastic to have you among our community, and glad you had a great time! Maybe I'll get you see you around sometime. I can't make it down to the weekday games in-town due to mucho work and living on the northern end of the city, but you will find that the community in and around Atlanta is welcoming everywhere. :) Feel free to look me up on the local forums, or ask me here if you have questions (although admittedly I pay more attention to our local forum). I go under the same name and am half coordinator for Giga-Bites.
You would still need access to the ammunition to be able to get it. There would need to be a Core specific ruling for it to work, as there is no connection to the ammunition in UC and crafting ammunition from the FAQ, and the FAQ certainly does not give access to additional resources. Tread carefully until there is a ruling as a GM can easily outright disallow it and be perfectly in their rights to do so.
Hi, I ordered a Starfinder GM Screen which was supposed to ship with my Starfinder subscription. I thought that the GM Screen got delayed because it wasn't in my box with the Starfinder Core Rulebook... but now it doesn't say it's shipping at all. Is there anything that can be done about this? Thanks! (Side note: I have 2 t-shirts that should be coming with my subscription now too)
(Little necro as I was looking for organized play alternatives using the PF rules) I will say the #1 thing that I need from Organized Play to start it in my area is availability of the rulebook and scenarios. There are way too many "Organized Play" campaigns where you have to jump through way too many hoops to play the game. There needs to be a clear listing of scenarios somewhere with easy-to-get-to links on how to download (and purchase, if needed) and have it be convenient to find. Also, the game needs to be able to be played outside of conventions as much as it can be played inside of conventions. Making a campaign where only certain people and volunteers can access the scenarios and it can only be played at conventions is an instant turn-off to me. It needs to be available.

So, I have a CORE Wizard so don't have access to Extra Item Slot until it is printed in the Organized Play Guide, however I want to play my wizard until then. My Improved Familiar has a Necklace of Adaptation currently in a Play by Post game am I am super willing to trade out a feat to give it an Extra Item Slot. As well, if I were to play him again before the guide, I wouldn't be able to get Extra Item Slot due to being CORE. What do I do?
NOTE TO EVERYONE PLAYING AT MOMOCON: I will be making and printing off sign-in sheets for MomoCon mid-day on Wednesday so I can have them all ready for Thursday. If you aren't signed up to play a game on Warhorn by Wednesday May 24th by noon, you won't make it onto that listing which is what I will be going off of to determine what players we need at each table. Please sign up on Warhorn before that time or I can't guarantee you a spot at that table and you will have to sign-up on-site or hope it's not full when you show up. Did I mention MomoCon is very walk-in heavy, and lots of people sign up on site?
It's like it is in the Core Rulebook, even if it weren't Core. Animal companions simply do not follow the normal rules for animals in a lot of cases. For example, a regular alligator is large, but an alligator companion starts as small and becomes medium, so never reaches the actual size of a regular alligator. It's just the way it is. Does that mean a Camel companion can sicken the Tarrasque without much difficulty? Yes (and it's kind of dumb), but it's the way it is written. It will remain this way until further clarification.
Around here people just go "Oh no" usually as she's usually associated with the Season 4 difficulty. "Welp, we're all dead." People do much the same here for Drandle Dreng too, though. Around here, Osprey is absolutely loathed, but everyone was super happy when Eliza Petulengro showed up. Side Note: I think there's some regional bias too. Some GMs in a certain area might play NPCs a certain way because that's how other GMs in the area did so.
Welcome to MomoCon 2017! Warhorn and Sign-up Link: Warhorn Link We will be in exhibition hall A-1 in the back corner. Link to the map of MomoCon. MomoCon 2017 will be May 25th to May 28th and takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center. We will be running the #6-00: Legacy of the Stonelords (Levels 1-11), one of the season 6 interactive specials, Saturday during the afternoon slot. Most of the schedule is our regular Standard tables (3-4 tables per slot), and, as many of you know who have attended MomoCon, there is an extremely heavy walk-in traffic, so for those I have put tables of PFS Quests (2 tables per slot). This is important so that we can have a separation between those willing to play a scenario for 4-5 hours, and those that only want to be there 0.5-1.5 hours. The special is scheduled to have 5 Standard tables. There will be no CORE as this convention unless demand arises (for example, the special potentially) as last year not a single one of those tables made. Convenient way to view the Pathfinder Society schedule: Condensed list of the schedule. MORE INFORMATION ON PFS QUEST TABLES: You can sign up as a GM for these tables, but not as a player. These tables will count towards your GM total number of tables ran whether you actually end up GMing something or not. (Although, the way MomoCon traffic is, I would count on GMing at least some during your time slot, if not all). Our regular players are of course welcome to play at these tables, but again, there will be no way to sign up for them ahead of time and you need to be flexible with the people you will be playing with. More GM Info for PFS Quests:
If you sign up as a GM for those slots, be aware that you will be mostly dealing with newer players and need to be ready to explain the game, rules, and be catering to them. You may have people walk up in the middle of combat. I encourage all GMs for these quests to be as flexible as possible. Judge whether they need PFS numbers or not. Some people are there to play and never be seen again after about an hour of play. If someone only stays for one quest and is never to be seen again, it might not be a good application to give them a PFS number or chronicle...but if they stay for like 2 or more, it might be a good time to introduce those things to them and the campaign. If someone is staying for a lot of quests, perhaps they can graduate to one of the longer slots. Please do not sign up for this slot if you do not like having players new to the system or do not feel like being flexible in your GMing style. Convention Information: With 28,300 unique and over 71,000 turnstile attendance in 2016, MomoCon is one of the fastest growing all ages conventions in the country. Fans of Japanese Anime, American Animation, Comics, Video Games, and Tabletop Games come together to celebrate their passion by costuming / cosplay, browsing the huge exhibitors hall, meeting celebrity voice talent, designers, and writers behind their favorite shows, games, and comics and much much more over this 4 day event. I can provide chronicle sheets for GMs, but the assumption this year is that I won't be providing them unless you ask me. Don't be afraid to ask, though, as I have zero problems providing them. I mostly want to avoid using 5x the paper I need to. I will still have spare Silverhex/Phantom Phenomena/Honor's Echo/Legacy of the Stonelords chronicles regardless. Tier 1 GMs (but not Tier 2 GMs) will also be required to fill out a volunteer form, but are not required to do any of the other volunteer-type of information (such as you don't have to attend a MomoCon volunteer meeting). Please see the spoiler below with the link and how to fill this out. Tier 1 GMs:
