Female Human Monk of the Four Winds/1
Heh - I just had to hunt one down for a Serpent Skull where the DM ditched after 2 weeks. At least DM Salsa has a reason, the other one just said - I don't like the way PBP works, good bye. I will post on the Recruitment thread, but am not hopeful. As a non-paizo module less people have it and I would prefer having an experienced DM if we can find one. If any of you know someone, send them our way. Does everyone want to continue? One problem may be that we have 7 players which is a lot and can really bog down a campaign - although it also gives us a few spares when someone drops which invariably happens in pbp. For everyone who is interested please post a thumbs up and then I will see if I can find a DM. I would ask that the rest of you do the same as I am getting rather tapped on how many requests I can makes.

Xrezth looks at the others, and evil glint in her eyes. Too bad, looks like this used to be a torture chamber. Perhaps we will have a chance to try it out on some of the guards before we are done here. She then beckons the others down into the room. I have not seen any others here. Seems our next step is to head further down to see where the next soon to be dead guard are. Also, we need to keep an eye out for the magic using warden. Unless someone stops here, Xrezth begins to quietly go down the stairs to see what is next. Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Map is good. You should read up on the vision blocking tools. It is the fifth icon from the left on my version of MapTools. These will let you hide certain portion of the map until we have moved/discovered other parts.

Been to El Paso/Las Cruses a few times. Drove across it twice once across I10 from El Paso to Louisiana, the other time down from Oklahoma to I20 and then west through El Paso and across NM and AZ. I must say, it is prettier than driving across Nebraska, but not much.

If you ever send anything over the internet that you do not want stolen, then you have made a mistake. There is no sure thing as secure internet. On the flip side, you have my condolences on having to move to Texas, but look at the positive side. Now you and I can investigate Room 20 while the rest of them kill each other behind us.

Yeh - I was playing around with sight blocking the other day. Need to get that fixed in my campaign before the party gets into the real action. DM Salsa - feel free to ask questions. There is a lot of cool stuff that is really not intuitive. For instance, if you create something - for instance the blast radius of a Web or Fireball with the area of effect tool, you cannot simply click on it and make it go away. However - and this took a while to learn - you can redo the blast, but instead use the erase rather than the drawing tool. Voila - effect is erased. Once you figure this little stuff out, it is pretty sweet.

Turning to R'Chir as he indicates his desire to exit the prison without bloodshed: Unless you are skilled enough to be able to walk out of the impregnable fortress that is Branderscar Prison, I doubt we are going to be able to avoid bloodshed. The guard spoke of a bridge. Unless I am mistaken, the purpose for a bridge leading to and from a prison is to create a death zone onto which archers and mages can rain all hell upon those attempting to enter or escape from the prison. She then pauses for a moment considering the situation. Should you wish to see if you can sneak out, you are free to do so. Personally, I think that Grumblejack and I would prefer leaving without being shot from behind as we cross the bridge.

I continue to watch the entrance to the cells waiting for Rengar to finish releasing my new "friend" Grumblejack. Once he is free I return to the others. Ok, our benefactor wishes for us to escape. Once we are out, we are to cross the moors on the outskirts of town. Once we get to the old Moor Road, we should see a manor house with a single lantern burning in the second story. That is where our benefactor awaits. We are to be there in less than three days. As I said before, you are free to leave now, or after we escape. However, I think you all know how those who follow the dark lord treat those who betray their trust, or take advantage of their benevolence. Xrezth pauses for this to sink into the thoughts of her former cellmates. From what we know, we need to disable the guards in the gatehouse. It is likely that Blackerly, the scum, will be gaming there with some of the guards. Hopefully the libations will be freely flowing. Also, the warden from all we have been told is a mage of some power. We will need to get to him and neutralize him with great prejudice. I look over at Rengar. I assume you are quiet and stealthy. Do you wish to scout ahead or should I? I then look at the others. Unless someone else wishes to volunteer.

Damage for Dimral - just to move things along: Damage: 2d3 + 10 ⇒ (2, 2) + 10 = 14 <-- unarmed as posted, so probably non-lethal since he does not have Improved Unarmed feat.

As soon as I hear the arcane words. Oh, great, bunch of fools, just punch the fool so that he cannot talk. I turn to Grumblejack. My friend should have you out momentarily. Unfortunately it sounds like one of my former cellmates is doing things that are likely to draw the attention to us. I will be right back. I then head past the cell and then stealthily take up a position where I can surprise any guards that respond to the noise. Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 <-- guess trying to hide in a bright clean prison block is not easy

I look back to the others. We have a companion. All meet Grumblejack. Now, who took the keys from the guards so that we can release him? I then turn back to Grumblejack: Unless the guards are all asleep, I imagine we will meet several little 'uns for you to crush with your great might. The Whore Queen Eiseth will appreciate your revenge against these worthless fools.
Female Human Monk of the Four Winds/1
My job is to KO the guards. I left asking questions to the more sociable criminals. _____________ Xrezth continues to watch the strange ogre with horns through the bars of the cell. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Well met Grumblejack. I am Xrezth, humble servant of the Whore Queen Eiseth and her lord, Asmodeus. Now then, back to my question. Will you swear fealty to serve me and Asmodeus in return for your freedom?

Here is how I do combat: 1) DM rolls Init for everyone.
Initiative:
Xrezth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 R'Chir: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Dogar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Dashuun: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Rengar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Dimral: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 Lucias: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 Monster 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Monster 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 2) DM lists all the combatants in the order of their init for instance: Dimral
3) People post in whatever order they want, but post conditional actions if they are dependent on the actions of other who have not posted. Once someone has posted and the action has been acknowledged by the DM, then the DM unbolds that person's action. This way it is easy to know who is up next and who has been skipped because they have not yet acted in a round. Also, it is helpful if you post your stats (hp, active AC, buffs, etc) in a spoiler so that the DM can easily reference them. Posting them in your Stat line is nice, but since this updates whenever you change them, it is good to post them in a spoiler which can be reference for historic purposes if you are wondering how you got where you are.

Xrezth raises her eyebrows at the creatures response. What I said was. If you swear your allegiance to me and my lord. I will see you are freed and you can escape with us. If you choose not to, you can remain here to whatever fate these worthless fools have chosen for you.
Female Human Monk of the Four Winds/1
Xrezth smiles at the sight of the tainted giant. She then opens her mouth, but what comes out is not the tongue of Talingarde or its angelic benefactors. Infernal: Swear your allegiance to me, and I shall see you freed. Betray me and you shall rot here when we leave.
Female Human Monk of the Four Winds/1
Everyone should just post their actions, or inactions, or comments which might be able to be tied into the campaign so that we are not all waiting for someone who is waiting for everyone. There is nothing more annoying in a pbp than waiting on one person to post. So if you have not posted in a while because you feel that there is nothing for your to do, then post that your character looks around the room, or checks out the cute guard, or counts the holes in the roof tiles, or examines the queens necklace, or picks his nose and flicks it at the uptight character, or something so that you are not silent.

Round 1
Attack-FoB-non-lethal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Attack-FoB-non-lethal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Hard to comment since I do not know whether he is flatfooted. If flatfooted: While not perfect, Xrezth's elbow creates a large welt on the guards face. If not-flatfooted: Xrezth lands several solid shots, unfortunately the guard manages to raise his arm and just deflect her blows. You worshippers of the pansy god Iomedae will soon understand the error of your ways.
