Xanros looks over the edge and says "There seems to be a vantage point up here that someone uses as a look out, who ever was up here might not have even been here for us. I am going to take a quick look around and see if I can tell where this person went"
Xanros scans the roof top for scuff marks or footprints leading away from the barricade.
Survival check for Track 16 + 4 = 20

Xanros quietly walks out of the shadows "I think he is a follow of Pelor so we shouldn't have any problems from him. I am going to see if I can climb up to where I saw our spy and see what I can see."

Xanros puts away his bow and arrow and walks to the structure next to the wall and starts to climb up, making sure to stay away from the cracked pieces of wood.
Climb check 13 + 1 = 14
Jump check 11 + 3 = 14
Once I reach the top I will draw my bow again and take a look around for any immediate danger.

"We must endeavor to get out of here before someone we don't want to meet finds us. Lets go."

"Hold Gimble, there is some one on the roof over there." Xanros whispers out of the shadows. "I don't how long they were there but we need be wary. Once the man with the cart is gone I will lead us out and if need be see who is watching us."

Is there a way up to the roof I saw the flash of red on?

Xanros holds out a hand to quiet any talking as he hears the sound of the cart. "Somethings coming." He grabs his bow and notches an arrow and moves back into the shadows.
Hide check 15 + 8 = 23
I don't think I did more that a standard action fell free to tell me other wise.

'We might be surrounded' Xanros thinks and he readies his bow.

As the large man rounds the corner Xanros pull back the arrow and waits for the worst.
Is this the same cart I noticed on the main road before Rasmus showed up?

Xanros's stares at nothing for an instance as he remembers his years there "Yes at time very harsh, expectingly the first couple years but if you listen and obey you can learn a lot"

Rasmus Fjolfsvang wrote:

"So, if we are agreed, then where do we begin our search?"

Xanros looks a Rasmus "I will help for now, my search has waited for several decades a couple more days are no big deal, your need is greater than mine."

Gimble Turen wrote:
I look at you in a calculating manner for a moment before saying "I will assist you in your quest. But first we should lie low for a while. Where are we going Xanros?"

"Isnor and I are staying in the Axe and Anvil I need to go there first to at least get the rest of my gear." Xanros looks at Gimble "Do you have all your gear or will we need to stop at the inn your staying in to get it?"

Rasmus Fjolfsvang wrote:
And, by the way, why are you all here?"

After checking the ends of the ally Xan looks a Rasmus "I just came north from Dreskana, I just got out of a miltary academy there, in fact that is where I got this bow" Xan shows Rasmus the interwined W and A lettering inlade on the bow.

"I returned to my old village and then came down here after meeting up with Isnor on the way. For now I am just looking into some things that happened long ago."

As Rasmus is putting on his armor in the ally they are hiding in Xanros walks to either end and checks for any patrols following them.
Listen check 19 + 6 = 25
Spot check 14 + 6 = 20

"Did any of you here the whistle when we were leaving? It seemed it was a signal for the boy and his parents, in my training we often used bird calls and things like that to communicate without others knowing so we might be dealing with highly organized and trained individuals."

As everyone behind him gets ready to follow Isnor away from the main road Xanros keeps glancing between the boy and east on the main road where the guard will probably come.

Rasmus Fjolfsvang wrote:

"Let's be on, then, but let's keep our eye on the boy as we leave. Maybe if we watch from a safe distance, we can learn how the guards of this town deal with this odd, little boy. After what I have just been through, however, I am in no condition to deal with a large consignment of patrolmen."

"I will follow you until we are out of sight of the main road and then I can silently and unseen move back into a position that I can watch the boy and approaching guard to make sure we are not followed."

Rasmus Fjolfsvang wrote:

Quietly, through his helmet, Rasmus asks, "That's an exquisite bow, Xanros, how did you acquire it?"

Xan look a Rasmus and says "That is a story for another time, now get going."

As Xanros keeps watching the boy to see what he is going to do next he yells behind him "You could follow Isnor and I to our inn but a patrol of guards are in that direction so we cannot take the main road back, should stick to the allies and back streets."

"I think we had better just leave him be, strange or not I am not going to attack a child unless I need to. I will watch the child while you grab your gear and lets get out of here before that guards show up." Xan readies his bow and scans behind him for the gnome and halfling to see if they are still here.
Spot check to see Gimble
Spot 11 + 6 = 17

As Xanros spots the gnome in the shadows of the ally he asks "Are you coming with?"

Magnus Magnusson wrote:
Rasmus yells, "Hold on, my friend, something is wrong with this boy. He seems...possessed."

Xanros pulls up short and glances at he child, yes there is something off about him, something strange is going on here. "Watch his hand he has something in it" Xanros says as he starts to back away. He quickly scans the crowd to see if that women that he saw earlier is still here. She seemed to be waiting for something and maybe Rasmus suddenly appearing out of no where was what she was waiting for, she might be part of this too.

As Rasmus yells at the boy and runs between the boy and the monster Xan curses, "I just got him able to stand and he is going into combat a pin prick from death and he forgot grab his sword." Xan reaches down and grabs the longsword out of the pile of armor and yells "Here catch!" as he throws it. I assume it is still in it's sheath Not even looking if Rasmus caught it or is just hit him in the back he run towards the child to pull him out of danger.

As Xan watches the tenticaled monster standing in place looking confused he glances over at the tall creature with the small horns talking to a halfling and gnome. Xan withdraws away from the monster and heads over to the three as he looks for Isnor in the crowd. As he draws near he hears the big man explaining some things to the smaller two, as the man looks behind him at the monster he collapes from his wounds. Xan runs up and checks for a pulse to see if the creature is still alive.
I can't remeber if heal is a trained skill or not and I don't have my book so I will just roll and yet you decide. Heal check 18+2 =20 (finally a good roll)
Xan looks up at the halfling and gnome and says "My friend is lost in the crowd but is coming this way and he should be able to heal him. My name is Xanros and I think we should get him out of hear before that beast figures out where he went."

Changed my last post with the guards in it. I failed my will save so the new threat is the silent image. I am just waiting to see what happens now.

Ignore the last post and sub this one.

Will save roll 10 + 2 = (12)
I am assuming that I did not see Gimble cast his spell
A grotesque creature with claws and massive fangs silently creeps out of an ally. "Where in the h#$% did that come from, what did I just get myself into" Xan thought. "Well I can distract that thing if it goes after the creature with horns". Xan sinks further into the shadows and waits to see what happens.

A grotesque creature with claws and massive fangs silently stalks the guards. "Where in the h#$% did that come from, what did I just get myself into" Xan thought. "Maybe I can let them kill each other and get out of without killing any guards. They would just love an excuss to hang me out to dry anyway". Xan lowers his bow, sinks further into the shadows and waits to see what happens.

I was wondering if I could use my Track feat in reverse. Make an opponents track DC higher by using my Track feat. My train of thought is this since I would know how to track something I should know how to make it harder the be tracked. I know a scout will sooner or later get the pass without a trace ability but if I could use it to help the rest of my group that would be great. I also thought it would be a pretty cool addition to the track feat.

Xanros looks at the strange man stumbling in the street and wonders if he should get involved. Of course Isnor, with is holy ideals, will want to help the poor man and anyone running from that temple must an enemy of this retched country so he might as will get ready for whats to come. "If you want to help him I will cover the north road." he tells Isnor as he grabs his bow and notches an arrow. Xan runs to the building on the right of Temple Road and fades into the shadows waiting.

Hide check 2+8 = 10 (what a terrible role to start this off)
ready for an ambush with my bow if need be

Xanros looks down on Barren Falls and wonders if the Cold Steel contact he was told about would be at the Axe and Anvil.
"Am I ready to start on this journey? Am I ready to find my parents killers? This is the only thing I have thought of for almost sixty years but now that it is so close maybe I am not ready to dig up the past." All these thoughts race through Xan's head as he starts down the hill. "I am probably getting ahead of my self because they probably want let me through the front gate anyway."
Xan pulls his cloak a little further over his face and unconsciously stays in the shadows as he walks toward the gate.

Xanros is 4'10", a little small but lean and muscular. He has black hair he keeps short (a habit from a military career) but it has a tendency to to stand up wildly. A streak of white hair grows from the five inch scar over his left ear. His leather armor is dyed with greens and browns and his bow and quiver are strapped to his back and a short sword and throwing axe are on his belt. He wears a gray cloak when ever he enters a urban area to better hide in the shadows and keep a low profile.
