From safe within the warded grounds of the sanctuary, a great ancient owl, whose comical mannerisms sit oddly with the dignity that his appearance first suggests, peers over the walls hewn from the mountainside at the latest incursion.

The Winds build mightily, whipping everyone in the Place of the Winds. Any who have breached its sacred wards with ill intent are blasted by great gusts of Winds.

The Winds begin to pick up significantly. Dark clouds gather as the Winds howl mournfully.

HOOOOOOO!

Returns from serving his master the wizard.
Hoo?

The wizard's familiar, a very large owl, swoops into the room through an open window, lighting on a mantle. Clutched in its talons are a small poodle, yelping piteously.

Points with wing to dust defiling the "altar" (slaughtering block) at the edge of the sacred boundary.

Hoo?

Upon seeing the return of his fellow avians, Woodsy swishes his winds and hoots until the wards come down, that they make resume their places as the shrine.
Hoo!

Hearing the Admiral's call back to him as he wings away, Woodsy waits for the pokey raven to clear the boundaries of the shrine, then he begins the elaborate movement of wings that calls the Winds to seal off entry into the sacred precincts.

The owl of few words takes up his position of trust as the brethren wing away. Vigilantly he watches in all directions, lest someone pollute the sanctuary of the Winds.
