Liberty's Edge 1/5

I think you guys are Missing what he is saying... He is saying I think, That he Added the Pistolero Archetype after already playing the PC during the play test. Is this correct?

This is how it works with Archetypes in PFS, which is actually different then the Written rules for the Archetypes.

PFS Archetype Rules - Archetypes can be taking as long as you have not reached the level of the first ability given by the Archetype.

Since Pistolero's first Ability is given at first level, Up Close and Deadly (Ex), You can not take the Archetype after the fact so no it is not legal even though as others mention above the Archetype is legal for PFS play.

By the way, the rule as written for Archetypes is that Archetypes must be taken at the first level of the class, this is a rare rule PFS deviates from.

I should have been clearer in my first statement. Dragonmoon is correct.

Unfortunately I was level five when UC came out so no archtypes for me. I'll make the necessary changes so everything's kosher again.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.

I have a gunslinger for PFS. Please keep the boos to yourself. I have enough GMs trying to kill me on principal alone. I made him back during the 2nd round of play testing. When Ultimate Combat came out I gave him the pistolero archtype.

My question is was that legal. I wanted to know if anyone knew the official ruling on it. (A few months late but I went a couple without playing him too.) Please let me know if I should change him back. I'd like to keep everything Society legal.

I played Andoran but it doesn't matter. It wasn't a comment on the specifics of the adventure at all. The Shadow Lodge in Season 3 tries to make sure individual Pathfinders are misused or mistreated. Being forced to babysit, as they were described in the blurb of the We Be Goblins module, "Pathfinder's most popular psychopaths" starts to feel like abuse...quickly.

I think there's a typo concerning the record sheet. The tier 4-5 gold is listed as Tier 3-4. Also, herding goblins wasn't exactly what I had in mind as a pathfinder. While my character thinks of it as an example of why the Shadow Lodge is gaining prominence, out of character I thought it was hilarious.
