Actually, it looks like there are tons of great submissions, so I'll bow out. Enjoy, everyone!

I'd be interested; I was enjoying the previous incarnation where you briefly stepped into GM role after the original GM disappeared.

I'd probably go with an oracle again.

No sweat; get well soon!

Sure, we can probably split up the room into pieces and take 20 on our individual piece. At the very least, we should be able to take 10 if there's no one threatening us right now.

I hope we're not waiting for everyone else to chime in "Me too, me too!" :-)

Wolf-Sark heads back to the first storage room (door at Q34, I think) and starts looking through the material stored there.

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

At the very least, we can poke around those two storage rooms before calling it a day.

Two miles. Even for a stubby-legged dwarf that's not too far away.

Rurik Ungart wrote:

"What else can we do? We're out of healing. If we got into another fight today, we would be risking much more for much less net gain. For now, I say we rest in the store room and continue in the morning."

"We go back to the inn, sell our booty, and equip ourselves for another round of fighting, of course!

I'd rather eat good food, drink ale, and sleep in a fine bed; it's only two miles away, after all!"

By the way, what time of day is it? Mid-afternoon?

We're out of healing magic, so keep that in mind. But who wants to live forever? ;-)

"I like fighting more than the next person, but staying here seems like a recipe for an ambush. But if you insist, then one of the storage rooms should work fine."

"Aye, let's go back to the inn to rest. Maybe we can sell some of the swords and other weapons we picked up."

"Let's loot this place quickly, and then begone. I'll start by smashing this foul altar."

Wolf-Sark grabs a piece of furniture and tries to bash the altar into pieces with it.

Str check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

If we can wait for two minutes, and if no one else minds, Wolf-Sark will put on the chainmail armor (with some help from his friends). After that, we'll open the door to the magic aura.

"Osric, it looks like you have first right to this fine armor, if you like," Wolf-Sark indicates the banded mail. "And someone else can take the chain mail."

"I hate cowardice, but you should all know that I can heal no more today. So if you fight, be ready to greet Death with glad arms!"

Wolf-Sark examines the banded mail. "I could use some better armor, but I've already taken my share of loot for today." He pats the fine (albeit dingy) longsword he took from the other room. "Grab whatever strikes your eye, comrades!"

Wolf-Sark checks the bodies of the dead beastmen (and women) for loot, also checking for magical auras.

"Hah! Well done, elf! You have earned the right to fight again with your valor."

Wolf-Sark lays his hands on Dresiro and pours the last of his healing energy into him.

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

"FINISH HIM!!" Wolf-Sark roars in battle-lust.

Wolf-Sark rushes forward and charges the orc on Dresiro's flank AC33, howling like his totem animal!

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

The only change I can see that applies to Wolf-Sark is that CLW is now a free spell for him. So I'll add Bless to his known spells.

It looks like the Oracle has been upgraded a little bit. I'll make the necessary changes to Wolf-Sark tonight.

"Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"

Wolf-Sark cackles and says: "Are you scared missy? Then RUN! RUN AWAY!"

Cast Cause Fear on the raggedly dressed orc woman

Crimson Jester, are you still playing in the "Dungeon-A-Day" play by post game? We're waiting for Osric to act right now...

By all means, feel free to roll initiative for me when needed!

init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Wolf-Sark takes the total defense action and moves to Z33. "Come and get me, you beast men!" he jeers.

(AC 21 this turn)

Sounds good to me. Wolf-Sark would like to be in the lead, or close to it. He'll open the door unless anyone stops him...

When the party has finished searching the room, Wolf-Sark buckles on the new sword and opens the door at S23 (unless Rurik wants to check for traps first).

Wolf-Sark wouldn't mind using the longsword, if it's better than his current one. But there's a particular sword that he's hoping to find -- one of great power...

Wolf-Sark will check this room (and the other one) for magical auras.

"Hmph. I thought I saw a good wolf pelt in there," Wolf-Sark grumbles as he moves to the next room.

I presume that door is open as well, correct?

Wolf-Sark moves towards the door at R29 and looks inside.

I presume it's still open, correct?

Rurik Ungart wrote:
"Right. No need to carry all of this with us. So, ready to see where they came from?"

"Yes, let's explore where they came from. There may be more beastmen to fall before my sword!"

DM, can you remind us where the hostile forces came from?

Wolf-Sark scoops up a handful of javelins. "Pfaugh! These beastmen barely whetted my appetite. Where's the main course?"

Tarlane wrote:

Currently, we have an oracle(of battle), a ranger, a paladin, a rogue(who looks like he is going to go some wizard), and a fighter.

Didn't the ranger's player (seekerofshadowlight) give up? Maybe he'll come back if you ask him, though.

If it's still alive, Wolf-Sark steps forward and hacks brutally at the same hobgoblin, grinning with battle-glee!

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Confirm crit:
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10 ("Killer" trait adds 2 dmg)

I'll keep playing, if someone keeps DMing. But I agree that it wouldn't be worth overextending yourself over.

Wolf-Sark also moves forward and prepares to meet the charge.

O19

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

What are they armed with -- melee or missile weapons?

Wolf-Sark moves over to the unconscious beastmen and puts them to the sword. That bloody business done, he comes up to Flash and slaps him on the shoulder. "Well fought! You deserve to have your wounds bound so that you can fight again."

He enters a sort of trance and lays his hands upon Flash and Rurik, healing their wounds.

CLW Flash: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
CLW Rurik: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Wolf-Sark will move to P27 and direct his attack against the goblin threatening "Flash". If that goblin is already dead, he'll move to P26 and attack the goblin threatening Rurik. (18 attack, 10 dmg, rolled above)

Wolf-Sark moves to P26 and readies an attack to hack down any foe who comes near.

Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Readied attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Trap checking is for wusses.

"We check the other room, and then deal with those bells." Wolf-Sark moves over to the door on the east and opens it, sword in hand.

"That's thinking like a warrior, Flash. I agree." Wolf-Sark takes a quick look around before leaving.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Wolf-Sark draws his sword and flings open the door.

Wolf-Sark chuckles. "Some clever boy has set up an alarm; there's a string of bells about a dozen yards north of here. So watch your steps, gentlemen..."

Wolf-Sark throws his light-javelin into the darkness as far as he can.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
