Background:
When Wit was just a few days old, the halfling village in which he lived was attacked by a clan of stone giants. Wit can remember visions of rocks falling from the sky, fire and destruction all around, and the face of the man who saved his life.

A monk traveling through the town rescued Wit, whose parents had been killed in the attack, and brought him to a monastery in Katapesh which trained halflings in the art of of working from below their enemies.
Wit grew up at the monastery, training along with the other monks on how best to deal with foes much larger than themselves, particularly giants.

Incredibly agile, deceptively sneaky, and always aware of his surroundings, Wit uses his small stature to his advantage, avoiding the notice of larger foes and then taking them down with a few quick movements.

Wit was sent by his superior to the area near Sandpoint to finally use his training against the giants that have been mobilizing in the area, and to help in not letting this town experience the same fate as his own.

Personality:
Quick with a joke, Wit is far more personable than most monks. He gets along with most people, but does his best to avoid making a lasting impression, preferring to stay mostly under the radar so as not to give up his most precious advantage—anonymity.
