That's what I do, anyway.

Hmm... I know this is a little late (I should have had this table + article done months ago!), but I just wanted to make sure I was doing this table right. Tell me, does this look right? (assuming that the { } simply represent single tabs)
[BEGIN TABLE]{ }Feat{ }Prerequisites{ }Benefit
Blind-Fight{ }-{ }Reroll miss chance for concealment
Combat Expertise{ }Int 13{ }trade attack bonus for AC (max 5 points)
Improved Trip{ }Combat Expertise{ }+4 bonus on trip attempts; no
attack of opportunity
[END TABLE]
Or am I supposed to literally surround the entire square table with brackets? What about lines that carry-over to the next line?
Hope I didn't reveal any Paizo secrets by showing this snippet... :)
And, Mike: My apologies for the time taken to get my latest batch of article sent out. Life has gotten busy. But rest assured, I'm going to get these out the door ASAP!
Thanks in advance,
Robert
EDIT: Hmm, another question for Mike: What is the word limit for an Class Acts composed almost exclusively of tables?

I got TWO replies from Mike.
'Course, one was blank -- and they were both replies to the same mail.
Does that still count?
Sure. 'Round these parts, we take whatever we can get! ;)

Hey pancake...good to see you. Thought you moved on.
Never! Just took me a while to realize I belonged back here. :)
BTW, Mike, just wondering, what is the queue (at least the one referred to in my e-mail)? Queue for manuscript editing/revision? I'm wondering exactly what stage my Psion Archetypes CA is at...
Thanks!

Um, I think in your second post you're talking about the actual video game, but regarding the dndonlinegames.com site, although it is very much like tabletop dnd (except for the typing and the lack of off-topic conversations going on in the game), it is also very much slower paced. Instead of going on the computer for a couple hours at a time for your session, I just check once in the morning and once in the evening for new posts.
To get in games, you can either post something about yourself in the "Players seeking DMs" forum, or browse the "DMs seeking Players" forum, and apply for any game that suits you.
Unlike in traditional dnd, it is much easier to get involved in multiple games (I'm in 5 right now), but from what I've heard it's alot of work to DM.
Anyway, if you liked what you saw, sign up for an account and PM (private message) me (waterdeepflapjack), and I'll try to get you into a Guild War style game I'm in right now (if you're interested, of course).
The link is here: http://www.dndonlinegames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2538
However, you might not be able to view everything (alot of things are private threads, but just tell me if you want to be able to see some of the game so far and I'll PM it to you.
Good Gaming,

Setting: PCs were infiltrating a secret base underneath the Karrnathi Embassy in Sharn looking for a captured ambassador. They had found some gith silver swords.
Me, the DM: Okay, you walk in the room, and sitting at the desk is a middle-aged man, obviously writing some letters, with numerous corrospondence on his desk.
Party: We make him talk.
Warlock: Yeah, or else I'll kill him.
DM: The middle-aged man, upon seeing your threats of violence, says, "Well, hello there."
Warlock: What is going on here?
DM: I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about.
After a successful intimidate check...
DM: We're... researching these swords. That's all I'm supposed to know. But... there's something else.
Warlock Interrupts: Talk, or I'll kill you!
DM: Umm... He was still talking.
Warlock: I cast darkness on him.
DM: Okay... *rolls eyes*
Player: What are you doing that for? He was still talking.
Warlock: Oh. Nevermind.

I haven't done any work on a conversion to IH. My players were very lukewarm on the topic for an Iron Heroes campaign. We playtested a couple of rounds of combat and the handing out of tokens just annoyed everyone. I was surprised by the negative reception, but I see their point that combat was already complicated enough without throwing in tokens and other stuff like that.
I went through the book and picked out some stuff that I could use in my D&D campaign, but I'm going to put the book on E-bay since no one in my gaming group is willing to try IH.
Ouch...
Sorry, man. My group is eager to play in IH, and are especially excited about the prospect of being drow.
Did you try having, say, a pile of pennys so when the PCs gain tokens they grab x pennys and when they use them, put x back? Also, were your players "hip to the jive" of feat masteries? It strikes me as extremly odd that they could not enjoy IH. On a related note, what level did you playtest? The problem could have been the players having a bunch of abilities they have no clue about handed to them.
Hope this helps,

I'm reading through CotSQ, which I got a few days ago, and was wondering what I need to convert to 3.5e (actually, Iron Heroes in particular), and if anyone else has some tips or tidbits of wisdom about it. Plus, it would be cool if you shared your experiences, either DMing or playing. Also, for anyone on the boards who has IH (cough, f2k, cough), if you have any tidbits about the conversion for IH in particular, that would be nice.
Thanks all,
