Your "TV experience"? For f~*#ing real? If "TV experience" was measured in Pathfinder EXP we would all be epic level. >_>

If you're going archer, ditch Dodge for something else. You can pick up that bonus elsewhere- especially if you don't plan on melee being a primary attack option. I'd actually recommend Manyshot over Crit Focus. Free extra damage on your first attack each round.

Agreed, Crit Focus is too situational at that point. Even with Falcon bracers (GET THESE) you're getting only 10% chance to even confirm a crit anyway. Not that you shouldn't take it (your choice), but NOT before Manyshot which is a promised 100% damage increase every full attack.

Also agree you can ignore Dodge. IF you want a defensive feat get Iron Will. You'll be hit more by mumbojumbo in the back rows more than you will sword and arrows ideally (not always). Plus in a game about WITCHES this goes double. It's not a necessary feat either though.

I had to look up Diesel Punk, I guess it is sorted by timelines, so yes I guess technically it is Diesel Punk. Though had I not be informed of the timeline in the game, the southern styles and strong man characters could easily be mistaken for Steam Punk.

By timeline it is not disel as the game takes place in 1912. Disel is the inter war period. In themes it is disel punk.

Well with Armor Expert trait, Shattered Star's campaign trait Serpent's Runner (Armor), Comfort enchantment, and Mithral you can completely negate the 6 ACP. If you can grab Mithral Hellknight plate somehow you can do it without the campaign trait.

Course you have to use a little extra gold and traits but just stating it can be done for those that won't allow the Celestial Plate.

I found the magic system alright and performed well enough with it. Though I had a single Air mage and only used the basic one rune spell, but I can understand other people's frustrations. I just wish exp divided evenly among the party and not just people that hit. Created some aberrant behavior on my part. Beat the game on Old School and Hard.

Played it, got 100% on first play through, loved it. Think I'm going to play it again.

You can stealth through a good number of parts in the game cept for scripted events. I used the bow as my primary weapon and its a excellent stealth weapon.

Some of them are good intentioned, some are mearly looking for mindless drones they consider 2nd class citizens to keep them supplied with gear so they can go out and play the "real" game. (Andius...)

I'll be sure to remember that when I'm the one saving your butt from bandits after you realize how limited the world inside the safe areas will be. ;)

Summersnow would do well to remember we are offering you the chance to join us and will do nothing against you should you refuse. It is not uncommon for military organizations to simply decide you'll pay their tax or they'll wipe out your operations. We will do no such thing but we will protect you from those who would.

@ Summersnow

The UnNamed Company will take less from you, as bandits, than Andius will take from you in "taxes". That is a fact, but not just for Andius' government, but for all governments.

They tax you for every transaction, for every passage through their realm, for every mob that you kill, and in some cases for every month that you remain in their "protection".

I have yet to see anyone poke a stick at the UnNamed but I guess you couldn't resist the opportunity to poke the stick at someone else. In true honorable bandit fashion.

In fact I am pretty certain that Andius is against everything you just said about him. Glad to see your still working on your meta game.

I actually had to argue with Andius for over a hour about guild taxes. He was absolutely against the idea. He assumes whether you're a PvPer or Non PvPer you'll act like an altruistic communist (<----joke) and just donate what is needed and than some. While he doesn't seem to like the idea of taxes he doesn't like the idea of free loading either. It's weird I know.

You're almost guaranteed to roll a few 1s, even if you have a good fort save and cold-weather gear. Plus, the DC goes up for every previous save. So, long story short, how does this not just kill everyone except the Boreal Sorcerer in one day?

Some (12) rogue archers with Inubrix arrows kicked the crap out of the AC fighters in our Shattered Star campaign. Inubrix ignores all armor and shield bonuses. Use a few if you ever want to wound him a little. Also Inubrix means the weapon does one size category smaller in damage and has the broken condition.

Dear Doctor Feel Good,

What do you feel good about?

(BTW this thread was my idea so if you get on Gobbcast or whatever its called I want a shout out AT THE VERY LEAST.)

You know what I like the idea of? "Ask Dr. Feel Good." thread. He has sooo much wisdom to share I bet.

Goblin Squad Member

@ Bluddwolf, Its not technically hijacking when it serves the purpose of the thread. Community building despite BS drama. But if you think it would get some actually support I would be fine with a MWO thread for the sole purpose of forming a PFO company.

@ Being, What do you think my "Shotgun" Cat uses? ^______^

@ All, Regardless of what we play, or even IF we play anything, I hope we each make a effort to spend time with each other and not be isolationists in our own communities.

I had a great time talking with Darsch this evening and am glad I got him to download Mechwarrior. I can't wait to play a few rounds with him later on in the next few weeks.

Goblin Squad Member

It can be but its not as bad as it was. ECM took Streak Cats out of the roster hardcore.

Goblin Squad Member

@Darsch, Hey if you get it, the offer stands, griefing or no.

@Being, My pilot name is Waruko. I mainly pilot a ECM Raven, Jenner-D, SRM 6 "Shotgun" Catapult, and a Founder's Atlas.

Goblin Squad Member

Good idea Hobs.

If anyone would like to join a multi-guild lance or company for Mechwarrior Online I would be highly interested to be a part of that. Anyone else? Or are you too ashamed to see a Raven beat your Atlas in kills. :P

As the newest member of the TEO council I would like to first say I'm honored to have the Veil as allies. If we weren't friends I would be very bored on Monday nights instead of guest spotting in Camlo's game. We are also all for running drills with you and any other guild that wishes to do so.

TEO can also be counted on to do the right by the community. We are a Good organization. If you ask us for help we WILL be there for you. To do what is right, especially when it is inconvenient, is what being good is to me.

That said, Darsch, if Andius starts to play on our TE minecraft server I totally welcome you to join to grief him with lava, TNT, and monster spawn eggs. Whatever it takes to satisfy your honor.

Goblin Squad Member

I could of been arguing about boob plate but no. Last time I make that mistake.

Yet you used the word "removed" hence my issue. Leads to misunderstanding.

I addressed the "Enough" post above in a Edit. I was warning Devent not to get "douchey" and get his posts deleted by a mod. Slippery slopes you understand.

I meant the "Andius is out" as a way for Bluddwolf to give me his attention and to respond directly to me and he did. I thanked him for it. Thank you as well for replying timely.

I fear Papaver hit the nail on the head above and this subject has derailed in a horrible fashion. I spoke with some of the Veil this evening VERY briefly on my core belief of the "treaty". Responses were positive and I agreed with them that this is something that needs to sit and to come back to. Next time the manner it will be brought up will be after much consultation in and more importantly OUTSIDE the guild.

Again thank you and have a nice night.

EDITED: To be less douchey as I'm up late.

Dak Thunderkeg wrote:
This whole proposal has not been a unified front, even your own membership has contradicted each other, in this very thread. At least one has been removed, as well as called out by another one of your members.

Don't spout lies please. No one was removed. If any posts went missing they were deleted by the poster not because they were told to sit in time out. Same goes if anyone stopped posting period.

What are you referring to about being "called out"? Please elaborate on the specific incident. I'll be disappointed if it's the "Enough of that." comment I made because I was trying to reign in a member from descending into the slippery slope of aggressive trolling.

Now some supporters have been douchey. I can point out dissenters too. Maybe the amounts aren't even but I as a "supporter" have been civil and if I have made ANYONE feel like an "less than ideal gamer" I apologize. That said, don't round us up as one group hating on the other. Its not "the truth", for either side. You have INDIVIDUALS address THEM.

I have framed my arguments and am open to discussion on them.

1. Griefing needs to be defined

2. Alignment needs to be considered for role playing purposes.

3. Professions need to be exempt for the proper application of their profession.

4 Infinite Bounties must be included as part of the pact. If we agree to not grief ourselves, we must also agree not to issue infinite bounties. These in my view are as excessive as the griefing they are meant to discourage.

5. There should be no retaliation for not participating in this treaty. This includes the retaliation of omission or indifference, otherwise you lose the perception that the treaty is for the good of the whole community.

I will keep it at those five for now. Please feel free to explain how these are not raising legitimate topics for discussion.

Hey Bluddwolf, Andius is out. I'm in. AKA ignore him because you are talking to me, and I'm talking to you. Just two people talking. Because him and I are talking about two different things or might as well be as far as you are concerned.

1. No it does't. See the word "griefer"? Notice I've never used it in my posts. Let's take that word and tell it to diaf. Hell, I shouldn't of used "goon" but it was for example sake. My bad. We need to define, "What is a great threat?". That's a fair a VERY legit question.

2. Hmm, I'm not a RP but I can see your concern there. That WOULD require more knowledge on things like the war mechinca and how it would affect alignment.

3. I don't understand could you expand on that? I apologize. Do you mean farmers stay on the farm?

4. This should be a non-issue with what I have in mind but I can agree to that with what we know so far.

5. ABSOF%+%INGLUTELY. It wouldn't be "Good" to do otherwise.

Goblin Squad Member

Skwiziks wrote:
Waruko, Andius, etc, is this essentially a proposal to agree to mass, coordinated action in response to a mass, coordinated threat?

I can't, nor will I speak for Andius and you can ask him, we hardly ever agree. But yes that is what I'm suggesting. Andius should not be the leader of such a coordinated action, nor do I think the treaty suggests it. It's a coalition. There would a war counsel. There would have to be AGREEMENT on what is a threat. No one man can "pull the trigger". This again is not an anti-griefer treaty meant to be abused to "police" PFO. Sometimes there are threats even the "largest organization" can't handle alone. Rovagug was not beaten by a single god, hence again why I named the treaty such.

It should be a thing that should NEVER be enacted unless its under DIRE circumstances and hopefully it should never be used. Ever.

I like that first bit, something to stand against a Kingdom of griefers is one thing.

I do not agree with the last sentence, though.

You want something that you want the Community involved in shaping and agreeing to, then you discuss it where everyone in said Community has an opportunity to weigh in. I've been playing MMO's since UO and all the best organizations, agreements, treaties, whatever where done right out in the public with the public having their 2 cents.

It's not like we're hurting for time, either.

The public are welcome into the voice chat and bullet points can be posted. I'm not suggesting making the talks hidden but in a setting where people can explain themselves better. Because looking above seems like there is a lot of misunderstanding. As long as everyone is on the same page I really don't care if they are on the forums or elsewhere.

I like the concept and you picked a good lore-appropriate name. I suppose a treaty like this is mostly for counteracting griefer threats on the scale of the G--- S----? I suppose one could consider griefers to be cultists of Rovagug, from an in-character perspective... Rovagoons? :P
Seems to me that we might get more support if this were limited to responding to big groups specifically dedicated to griefing, without trying to broaden it to the point that it could apply to individual players or those playing bandits. If it's just affecting a few players it's just the game playing out as it will, but if a group comes in with the purpose of ruining the game for everyone, everyone could do their own thing, hiding out or trying to cut individual deals to be left alone, or we could all work together to deal with them.

OK EVERYONE please look here.

You are not signing a treaty because IT DOES NOT EXIST. You are simply signing a "Hey I am interested in helping you MAKE THE TERMS of the treaty." So you are not committing to "terms" your are committing to a debate and a talk to help create the treaty into something you WOULD sign. That's all people.

Don't worry TEO has a ruling council which distributes power equally except in times of war. Such as when reasonable doubt of magics of massive destruction has been reported in a neighboring kingdom. In that case emergency powers are granted to Andius. As you can see a safe and reasonable system.

Kikko armour is slightly better than scale mail, and four-mirror armour is very inexpensive. However, both are still inferior to a breastplate, so I don't see a big issue. People should be much angrier about the haramaki I suppose.

Not quite, both equal out to the same AC with +5 mithril with a Dex of at least +6. Breastplate giving +11 total with a +5 Max Dex for a total of 26 AC. Kikko gets +10 with a Max Dex of +6 for again 26 AC. Kikko has a +1 to Touch AC while Breastplate has +1 to Flat footed. Both have 0 armor check plenty if Breastplate has a Comfort enchant. So for a high Dex character (Dervish dancers, archery builds, etc) neither is a clear winner unless you're too cheap for a 5k enchant or you prefer higher touch of FF AC. If your Dex is only +5 than yes Breastplate wins by one point, that or the DM cock blocks all Asian gear.

Course I might of misunderstood that and you meant both Scale and Four mirror. In that case I wrote a bunch of crap for no reason and I need to go to sleep. :P
