And Mzali is more interesting than it looks. It's big, run by Mwangi natives, and ascendant. Walkena is LE on the books, being a mummy and all, but look at it another way:

He's a newly revived superhero from the golden age past who blew up an army of nasty foreigners. Those who are loyal to him and his dreams of greatness (for us loyal Mwangi) are rewarded. Those who are not with the program, well, things are bad for them. But what right minded Mwangi wouldn't want to be on team Walkena? Fools who think trade with foreigners is good? Crazy men! Or the narrow minded who balk at a mummy for a king? C'mon, judge the guy by his deeds!

Ah, a brother in arms! Thank you for joining the cause! With Walkena's aid and blessings we will drive the heathens into the sea, and a golden age can begin again, as it was in Walkena's days! Those who oppose us shall feel his wrath, and those who join with us shall taste the milk of paradise! What right-thinking Mwangi wouldn't give his all for undead-god and country?

Because of the nature of Sargava, which is a Chelish colony. The factions all hail from this colony, and all represent intruders of a sort into the Mwangi expanse; the locals aren't as interested in discovering an ancient city in their own back yard as they are, perhaps, in either living life or even getting these various factions out of their land.

Walkena does not approve of these pale-faced foreigners. When the invaders are slain, then we will explore the cities of our ancestors in proper Mwangi style.

I believe that Red Mantis elf will not hold out long in our jungles; leather doesn't breathe well in tropical climates.

Hopefully we'll learn more about Walkena the Child God. I noticed some of his followers in the NPC Guide, and would like to know more about the faith.
