energy. You get 4 points a day. You can expend 1 point from
this reservoir to give your weapon a +1 to one weapon you are
holding for 1 minute.
• Spell Combat (Ex) (UM 10): If you have one hand free you can
attack and cast spells on the same round. As a full round
action, you can make all your attacks at a -2 and cast a
spell. You can add your intelligence bonus to your
concentration check to cast defensively if you take the same
penalty on all your attacks.
• Weapon and Armor Proficiency (UC 55): You are proficient in
simple weapons and in a single martial or exotic melee weapon
of your choice. You are not proficient with armor or shields
and suffers normal arcane spell failure chance when casting
magus spells while armored.
• Diminished Spellcasting (UC 55): You may cast one fewer spell
of each level than normal.*
• Canny Defense (Ex) (UC 55): You add +1 intelligence bonus to

Impressions and Background

Vrilli is tall (6’2”), and slender, with blond hair and green eyes. He wears dark leather clothing (not armour) that is well made, but plain. He carries a bow and wears a long-sword. He carries a kit with a collection of books, parchments. He is meticulously clean and orderly in terms of how his possessions are stored and stowed. Having grown up with few posessions, he tends to look after his various items, and tends to keep some things beyond the point at which others may have replaced them. While physically capable and intelligent, he notably lacking some of the social graces possessed by many of his elven kin. He speaks the common tongue with no specific accent.

Vrilli is cold, haughty, and somewhat aloof in demeanour. He is lacking in social niceties, and has no ability to make small talk. He may appear awkward in social situations, although those that get to know him will realise that this is born of disinterest rather than shyness. He is not overtly rude, however, and will usually apologise if it is made clear to him that he has caused offence.

Despite his aloofness, Vrilli is a reliable individual, and is honest in most ways. Although he is disinterested in conversation, he will answer questions about himself openly when asked, but (usually) takes little interest in the lives of others.

Vrilli does not usually care about the opinions of others, and has dedicated his life to furthering his martial and arcane skills. He adopts a similar attitude to both sets of skills in that he is somewhat dispassionate and cerebral, and is driven by the sense of mastery that he gains, rather than any desire to be useful or to help others. Those that know him very well (and few do) may occasionally detect a subtle half smile when he gains new knowledge, develops a new layer of arcane power, or masters an additional martial skill.
