I would be interested in the AP, I am slightly skeptical of those to be honest, but I trust you to make adjustments when they are needed. I will need to read the players guide properly and think for a bit. But I reckoned I should give feedback soon. I don't think I will be using Viorel. His backstory is a bit too high level and his personality does have pieces of that. Also specialist sorcerer was ok in a big group not so much in a smaller one. Anyways I will be back when I have thought things trough after some research.
Viorel manages to push down his fury, time for mourning would be later. "They can also burrow, have telepathy and are great trackers. Take out the one standing!" The mage yells as he starts casting. Soon enough the spell is compleated making everyone in the group faster. After that Viorel sprints off away from the enemy not wanting to get caught in a brawl with those things. Kn. Planes: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (20) + 17 = 37
"Crissors advice is sound. I would try to do it as many times as you can, to sow confusion and distrust among the ranks. Best case scenario we start absolute chaos and anarchy there with infighting. I do have the option of trying to scry on the giant we let go and I do still have some of his blood so it should be succesful, however if we want to do it more than once we would need to wait untill tomorrow. Depending on how things go we could always use this day to harass the enemy and begin our proper assault tomorrow."
"One demon can only cover one direction, and on top of that hold long enough to get suitable force to actually deal with us. That being said it is something we shuld consider, if we do go with hit and run tactic, we should probably make demons our primary targets followed by the drakes. I would not be too hopeful of another entrance either, if there is one it is unlikely that we could find it and at the same time the enemy not being aware of it."
"I intend to use the land that is bounty for crusaders." He notes to Crissor while the old man is gone. As he briefs the group about what he saw Viorel stays silent in contemplation for a moment before speaking again. "The chariots are faster than them, apart from teleporting demons that but that comes with it's own limits. Assuming your reasoning is right wich I think it is, they will be stationary more or less. I say we attack with hit and run tactics. We have speed advantage and we can bring considerable force to bear at range."
I am here I have just nothing to contribute. Viorel doesn't have the spells to help with situation at hand. And everything else has been mentioned already.(That I could have come up with.) Once we have info on the scouting(assuming it happens) there would be something to say something to. I could post OOC post of every 48hours "still there" but hardly seems like a good use of anyones times.
The mage gives a warm smile to the older women happy to see they survived without casulties. "Alright let's get the trophies and move on. We should probably take the scales off the dragoon." Viorel notes. After casting a spell he goes trough the battlefield to see if there were any magical items among the enemy, mostly concerned for other divination devices. Detect magic.
Well personally. I never was too fond of the X amount of XP/round.(just measures time not how hard the fight was or the situation.) Could just ditch the whole thing and decide on amount of Xp or drop XP all together and level whenever it seems appropriate. On the at moment 1k/round thing, well it works. But it will eventually come overshadowed by how much XP you need to level. To get a ridicilous example assuming average fight takes 4 rounds 13th to 14th level would take over 20 encounters. That all being said I am fine with it. On challenge, well I personally don't trust the CR as anything other than a rough guess.(too many variables to account to make a good guideline.) On this encounter. It isn't as hard as the numbers would suggest. First we are heavily invested in ranged combat as a party, that means one of the big advantages of a dragon is not there. It also cuts down the offensive power of the demons as they have to move in and action economy hates melee. Second thing is that we could take out the dragon before it caused trouble. This did give the demons an extra round of actions but I reckon the dragon could have done worse.(so a lesser version of the one opponent does not work cause action economy.) I do belive our hardest encounter yet was the one against drakes. That would at least suggest that a group of similar level of threaths is harder for our group. Naturally those don't need to be the same creature just around the same ballpark. Another thing I have noticed is that we tend to mostly have "fair" fights, what I mean by that we are rarely in a big dis/advantage when it comes to the circumstances of the battle. On high level play.(I categorize that as 15 and above) It is not unplayable, but it is in practice a different game. It does take sort of "gentlemen's agreement" to work however. And yes it is extremely labor intensive. In your particular example I think the issue is more about gestalt than anything. I kind of just rambled as it came to me so it might be a bit messy but I need to leave so I don't have time to properly structure it.
Not quite sure that Abigail is safe yet, Viorel decides to rather ready himself to take down opponent if one decides to try attack her. He prepares to cast the spell via the magic vest. I hate this spell it just feels wrong in my core. Ready action to cast Icy prison if Abigail attacked.

Fireball targets a cross section of 4 squares as the point of origin. Y24, Y25, Z24 and Z25 in this particular case. I am assuming you thought the the 25th squeres did not count towards the 20ft? It only reaches to 28th and because of how circles work in grid it does not hit her mount. The sleep thing was odd since I just saw some sort of makr on #3, I assumed it was sleep, I just figured that waking up 1 was not too big of a drawback against hitting 4 enemies with rather heavy damage. (Naturally after rolls it was just 3 that got injured but anyways risk reward thing.)The fact seems to change it was a different creature that was actually sleep but, the same logic stands. Basically Viorel was hoping to either outright kill them or more likely damage the creatures enough that the others could pick them apart and that way make sure Abigail remains along the living.
Quick post in a hurry so I hope I did not miss anything. Viorel noticing that Abigail is in deep trouble decides to go all out and recreates the same spell that hit the dragon. The fiery inferno manages to engulf for of the demons but ones resistance to magic countered the spell. Intensified Empowered Fireball YZ24-25 crossection
As the dragon is anihilated by their combined efforts he turns his attention towards the demons. Are they trying to cripple our mobility? Perhaps they intend this to be hit and run tactic now? Regardless With some of us down in the sand we need to take care of this fast. It takes some effort from this distance but Viorel manages to blast a similar bolt of flame with slightly less power without catching his companions into the explosion. V32-33 and W32-33 cross section, targets 5,6 and 7.
Damage: 13d6 + 26 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 1, 4, 3, 5, 1, 4, 4, 5, 4, 6) + 26 = 77
If it weren't his life the enemies were after he would applaud the surprise attack. While he is digging into his mind to recall information on this rather obscure dragon Tiknesr manages to fell two of the opponents. Now because of Thaddeus' dimension door free from immediate threats he calls deep into his power manipulating his favored spell to the utmost of his abilities and points his finger towards the dragon. Soon enough the small firebolt hits the dragon and changes into a blazing inferno. "We are too clustered here kill the dragon before it get's into position to use it's breath attack." The mage shouts to his companions. Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36 If they are immune/resistant to fire.
Viorel looks as the pair is practically slaughtered. "Well that should at least discourage an attack. However keep your guard up." He notes on the missing enemy. Following his own advice he casts a spell creating a buffer incase the enemy gets a drop on him. Greater false life duration 10 hours.
"Damn it outside of my range." Viorel curses. The mage readies himself for the demons attack ready to push them back. "Thanks for the info Liette." He shouts getting rady to cast his spell. Ready action to cast battering blast if an enemy comes into range. Range 50ft, ranged touch attack +7, 2x 5d6 force damage, "Each sphere of force makes its own separate bull rush attempt—if multiple spheres strike one target, you make multiple CMB checks but only take the highest result to determine success. If the bull rush succeeds, the force pushes the creature away from you in a straight line, and the creature must make a Reflex save or fall prone." Bullrush roll +28 reflex save DC 21
I have been here just nothing to post before we left. Thaddeus if our survival is ever hinging on Viorel getting extra attack from haste we are already royally screwed :P Viorel makes the arcane incantions and motions creating illusionary doubles around him. "Concentrate fire, they will probably try to use hit and run tactics." The mage shouts. Kn. Planes: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18
Umm people, Viorel can teleport too and has been to the wound. Altough since abigails AC is huge it would count as 4 medium means nope movement on that untill CL12. So phantom chariots sound good. The scroll idea is not bad, though why not rely on raise dead from Abigail and just get 1 scroll in case she goes down?
Viorel actually does not have an Issue with Asmodeus, sure healthy mistrust but not an issue. He did think highly of Rosa afterall. It is the law and order part that disturbs him. He likes to do things his way and damned be anyone trying to tell him otherwise. That being said he does not dislike them, just more not the best possible ally. "I was not expecting taking land, more holding it. But perhaps we should discuss the details of that possible arrangement, once we have dealt with our current plans." The mage replies.
Viorel might have preferred more safe bet to the destination of the mace but this is looking good. However the mage is not willing to not see what could be gained. "7000 platinium is a respectable sum. However we should discuss some matters, there might be a possibility of further relationship. While our group is a cut above most, we lack something you do numbers. One can only be at one location at a time, well at least barring few tricks but those are never as good as the real deal. How many bodies can you mobilize should it be needed? And I am not talking about some fresh recruits, people who can actually cope what is out there. Understandably you are interested in reclaiming the fort, should we join forces with you on that task. What would you be willing to offer in return?" He turns to Liette. "Regarding her, I think we will first need to deal with the more pressing matter."
EDIT: Of coarse NOW that I posted and edit one little typo in the profile it starts working mysteriously. So feel free to ignore first paragraph. Why I am posting is that profile is somehow messed up. I have checked multiple times and I have the spoilered stuff at the end of the post but for some reason they are in the middle. Well not the end of the world. So since I am posting might as well get a few things out of the way. I will be rather busy untill 26th as most probably are so not much posting happening. I decided to go with Icy prison instead of cone of cold for the vest as standard choice. I allready got scrying(btw I got the mirror so I can share the focus), Prying eyes and teleport as scrolls too so I can change if the need arises and teleport is a pretty nifty Oh shit button. If there are spells that people would like to have access to now would be good time to say.
"No a warning. That is more than most get." Crissors hand and Abigail is enough to convince him not to pursue this anymore. He places the mace back in it's place with the same care. As they leave he notes with a bitter tone after lot of cursing in more than enough languages. "I really hope that holier than thou cunt will become a succubus' sex slave or something equally appropriate." Oh and I knew it was dumb thing to do. But I couldn't really see Viorel staying polite after that.
Viorel has been silent biting his teeth together but the Abbot seems to have crossed a line. "Just try to speak in that tone again to one of my companions, go ahead try it. And get your ass outside of the keep before daring to lecture us about spilled blood. Now the weapon was found out in the wound I fail to see how I am in any form obliged to give anything I take there to anyone. Church of anything need to get their heads checked if they think they can take something from me, without my consent and expect to escape unscathed." There was fury like fire fitting his heritage slowly becoming more calm.
Viorel gives the man a judging look but ultimately decides to trust the man. He removes the mace from it's holding place being very careful not to touch it directly. "We thought item of this nature would be of interest. And for hopefully obvious reasons we decided not to deal with the other group that would certainly be interested."
Quick post to keep things moving, pretty busy hopefully I didn't miss anything. Viorel stays silent for a good while but eventually speaks. "Kenan is right. We certainly do not want anyone knowing things they shouldn't and for that matter we shouldn't discuss that fact too openly here. I say we just get information who is in charge here and request an audience, shouldn't be that big of an issue, little silver tongue there, and gold falling into hand there. And that is if there is any issue in the first place." He takes a sip from the wine infront of him. "And no need to be so glum friend, short lives? Perhaps but I like to look at it as dancing around on the edge of a blade." The man smirks before turning his face towards the familiar. "Well met, you shouldn't speak ill of the dead though. Good way to get yourself into trouble." Another smirk. "Well Tiknesr, you got my blessing on the fact. I am not going to turn down an offer of allies when I am readying for war. However it is not just me you have to get the nod."
Crissor, you might want to check Bracers of Falcon’s Aim instea of bracers of lesser archery, even if you have improved critical it would save 1000 gold. Added bonus of +3 to perception. Anyways I will be making a list of things to do at least possibly. This is mostly to help me remember all things, but comments and discussions are more than welcome. 1. Scrying. In a month we can get vast amounts of intelligence with the spell power we can bring to bear.
Oh and question so far I am thinking of getting Cone of cold as the spell that is the standard choice for my vest. If anyone has an idea for 5th level spell that would be better choice say so.
If I recall correctly from the glab, using the library was a full days work.(that was before the ring allowing extra time) But with a month we could even take 20. So with a quick look around 35 total in any relevant skills, not counting possible bonuses that the library itself could have or aid another action. So probably about as much info as we can get via knowledge check.
Viorel nods at Abigails description. "Respected? Liked? The man was with me from the first day I set foot into the wound. If I had neither we would have parted ways long before his passing. Brave he was certainly to the point of being foolhardy at times. Luckily Barthimeus that was his companion from the outer planes complimented that with certain patience. As for out of combat, a certain cunning, he had an eye for women. You certainly shouldn't have regrets about what your son made of himself in this world." The mages expressions is a bit happier, he dealt with the sorrow out in the wound, now he is reminiscing a friend.
