I do have some more info (still not quite everything we need to create full product listings, though): Standard Booster Packs will contain 4 figures: 1 will be Large and 3 will be either Medium or Small. Standard Booster Bricks will contain 8 Standard Booster Packs, for a total of 32 minis (8 Large and 24 Medium or Small). There should be no duplication within a brick. Standard Booster Cases will contain 4 bricks, for a total of 128 minis (32 Large and 96 Medium or Small). *Most* cases will contain a complete set of all 60 Large, Medium, and Small figures. Note that, counting the Gargantuan Rune Giant, there are really 65 figures in the set: 60 are Large, Medium, or Small; 4 are Huge. BTW, Erik and Jeff got to see actual Reaper Bones at the GAMA Trade Show last week, and they were pretty impressed. It's apparently not the same material as Legendary Encounters; it's kind of springy. Staffan Johansson wrote: You know, shipping from the US to Europe does take a bit longer than shipping within Europe. There's this little thing called "the Atlantic Ocean" in between. I'm guessing that you, like I, have opted for the cheap international shipping option for your subscription. That means your stuff gets shipped by an actual ship rather than plane. I believe these shipping times can be pretty random, because the vessels stay in port until they are full which can delay things by another week or so if you're unlucky. The USPS discontinued international surface mail in 2007, so everything we ship overseas does indeed go by plane... but unless you've chosen International Priority, your mail is, well, quite literally not a priority. Planes get filled with higher priority items first, so non-Priority mail can sit and wait for a while. And the same is usually true when it reaches customs at the other end. You're spot on regarding the PDF stuff, though! Kirth Gersen wrote:
Both positions are still open. I don't know the status of Project Manager resumes, but I believe Gary has contacted all of the prospects for Software Developer. beepeearr wrote: Any word on the cost of the huge boosters, someone posted a price of $24.99 on another thread? I do not have confidence in that figure at this time. (I'm aware that one of the slides WizKids showed had that price on it, but remember that this was a presentation for retailers, and so not all of the prices discussed there are necessarily retail prices. If you've seen those slides, you'll note that the Booster Packs are labeled "MSRP," while that price is not.) Steve Geddes wrote: Just to ensure I understand things - you said the rune giant incentive will be "tied to the booster pack case" but I presume that's more relevant to retailers than to those of us who buy through you, correct? It's relevant to paizo.com buyers because, like the Huge Black Dragon for Heroes & Monsters, customers without Pathfinder Battles subscriptions will need to preorder a case of RotR Booster Packs, probably prior to some specific date, in order to be able to preorder a Rune Giant. Preordering a case of RotR Huge Packs does not offer the same privilege. deathbydice wrote: ...(pdf is now listed as available April 25th...) nevermind than having the actual print copy stuck in the mail to Europe for another three weeks. The PDF release date is the anticipated retail release date. We usually begin shipping to subscribers about a week and a half before that. The whole Chinese New Year issue is mostly a misunderstanding, in two different ways. 1. At one point people were asking for an updated schedule, and I told them that we wouldn't have new information for a couple of weeks because our printer was closed for the holiday. And then I saw people saying elsewhere that I had said the *products* were late because of the holiday. That wasn't the reason any products were late—it's just the reason I didn't have up-to-date information on delivery dates at that time. 2. If we plan for a product to reach the printer *before* the holiday, and we don't make it in time, then that product gets delayed for another two weeks until the printer reopens. But that's not actually the printer's fault—that's our own. And it *did* happen this year. Everybody busts our butts trying to prevent that, but sometimes it's unavoidable. Cat-thulhu wrote: I think they refer to all their oversized minis as collosal, regardless of actual size. take a look at the heroclix colossals, they really vary greatly in size. The rune giant looked gargantuan rather than colossal Yep—that's something we need to retrain WizKids on for this line. The Rune Giant is actually Gargantuan, with a 4-inch diameter base. I've edited my initial post. Enlight_Bystand wrote:
Yeah, I'm waiting on all of that, plus we also need estimated shipping dimensions and weights. Because folks are traveling from GAMA, I don't expect to have all of the information I need until the middle of next week at the earliest. beepeearr wrote: What was the completion rate for Heroes and Monsters. Any word on the possible common, uncommon, or rare spread yet? I don't know what the *actual* rate was, but the *goal* for H&M was nearly 100%. As for the spread, I don't think WizKids really likes to talk about that beforehand, because things change in production. Vic Wertz wrote: I'm not sure of the exact number of boosters per case just yet, but a case of boosters will usually contain a complete set of Small, Medium, and Larges, just like Heroes & Monsters did. More info on that point: In order to keep the number of boosters per case down to a reasonable level, a little less than 7% of cases will likely contain all but one figure from the set, while a little more than 93% of cases should contain a full set. It's not quite as good a completion rate as Heroes & Monsters, but still, the cost of some completists having to pick up one figure on the secondary market should be much less than the cost of the extra boosters that would have been required to increase the level of completion as high as it was for H&M. They're in the separately available Jade Regent Poster Map Folio. Our friends at WizKids announced some of the Runelords set specs to retailers in their GAMA Trade Show presentation this week, and I'd like to pass them on to you. We still don't have *quite* enough info to put up an actual product page, but I'd hope we have it all in place by next week. The 60-figure Rise of the Runelords set will be released in August. It will be sold in 4-figure Booster Packs and individual Huge Packs. (I *believe* that Booster Packs will contain either 1 Large and 3 Mediums -or- 1 Large, 2 Mediums, and 2 Smalls, but I'm not 100% certain on that at this time.) MSRP for a Booster Pack is $14.99. I'm not sure of the exact number of boosters per case just yet, but a case of boosters will usually contain a complete set of Small, Medium, and Larges, just like Heroes & Monsters did. Individual Huge Packs will contain one of four different Huge minis. These will be shipped to retailers in cases of four, with one of each figure in each case. (That is to say, if you buy a case of four Huge Packs, you'll get one of each of the minis.) The Gargantuan Rune Giant Figure will be an incentive tied to the Booster Pack case; it will work much the same way as the Huge Black Dragon did for Heroes & Monsters. Pathfinder Battles case subscribers will get a case of Booster Packs *and* a case of Huge Packs, with the guaranteed opportunity to buy the Gargantuan Rune Giant at a 75% discount. (If you subscribe with a quantity of two, you'll get two cases of Booster Packs, two cases of Huge Packs, and the guaranteed opportunity to buy two Gargantuan Rune Giants at a 75% discount.) WizKids also showed photos of two minis that haven't yet been announced on our blog: the Rune Giant and Karzoug. I'm sure Erik will blog them soon! I assumed Scarlette was talking about area, because asking about the square dimensions of a hex makes no sense. To be really clear, I meant what I said: the area of a hex is just about .5 square miles. Other hex stats: Inside diameter ("edge to edge" distance): .75 mi
(This is all assuming that a hex is .75 miles edge-to-edge; there may be technical reasons why that dimension may need to be *slightly* different, but this will be close.) Scarlette wrote: Doing the math, hexes would be 1/2 mile square ? I dont think a village would fit. And we are starting with 4500 people in this area.
