As you enter the workshop Vesorianna's ghost emerges from the stack of moldy cloths. "You succeeded." she announces. "All ghosts are destroyed and I was able to banish them permanently. I just waited to bid you farewell. My deed on this world is done. I'm free to leave now. Thank you."

With these final words the ghost vanishes in front of your eyes. And you notice that the Warden's badge has now a faint glow.

Spellcraft DC 32:
The badge works as a Lesser Metamagic Rod (Extend)

"Still no." Mrs. Hawkran replies to the question about the whereabouts of the badge.

"Yes I can." she replies with a satisfied smile. "You got the Piper, the Lopper, and Father Charlatan."

"Did you find the badge of my husband already?" she inquires.

Out of the pile out of moldy clothes with the skeleton in it rises the ghost of Mrs. Hawkran. "Yes?"

"Just fight those five criminals and bring me the badge of my husband. That's all what I ask for." Vesorianna replies. "As for where to find them - They are probably like me. So you'd find them where they were imprisoned in life. The cells of the most dangerous criminals were in the basement. The others on the upper floor. Good luck." After that last explanation the ghost sinks back into the pile of moldy clothes.

"I can't leave because I have unfinished business here. And the evil ghosts are here for the same reason. I told you what my unfinished business is. As you're here and the gentleman here talked of evil disturbing the town I guess you already know what their unfinished business is. So you're going to face them anyway." Vesorianna replies with disappointment in her voice.

"You can recognise me. I guess you'd recognize them when you encounter them." Vesorianna answers.

"There are a lot of undead and haunts here. But you only need to take care of these five I told you." Vesorianna replies.

"I was here to get my husband for dinner only to find myself in the midst of a riot. Not in the midst - the main part of it were in the basement and they tried to get out. But the guard put me in here and when the fire broke out I couldn't leave." she replies ghostly smoke coming out of her mouth.

Vesorianna smiles "If you put the ghosts of the prisoners to rest, then I'm free to pass on."

"I don't know this Vance Seatressle or Stephen Corvin. The five are the Mosswater Marauder, The Piper of Illmarsh, Father Charlatan, The Lopper and The Splatterman. I have no idea what their real names are." Vesorianna replies.

"The Splatterman is one of the five most notorious prisoners here. If you want to end the evil you have to end the ghosts of these five. If you do this and bring me the badge of my husband I can bring an end to this. But without it and with these five resisting me I don't have the power to do that." Vesorianna explains.

"The prison burnt down and it killed everyone. The prisoners, my husband, and the guards. Those cowards. And me thanks to them. They locked me in here 'for my own safety'. A lot of good that did to me."

"Ever since I'm bound to this room. But I could always feel the presence of my husband in the building. He kept the evil spirits of the prisoners in check. But a short time ago some sinister persons appeared on the Harrowstone grounds. They performed some kind of ritual. And ever since my husband is gone. And now I'm the last one to keep the prisoners ghosts from leaving. But the Splatterman is slowly eating away my resolve. If no new guards come they will become free eventually." Vesorianna explains.

"I'm Vesorianna Hawkran, wife of the prison's Warden. Do you know when the new guards will be coming?"

Knowledge(Religion) DC 14):
Vesorianna is a ghost. So she is incorporeal and she will simply reappear if you dispatch her.

"Sure I do. Why wouldn't I? Are you the new guards from town?" the ghost asks.

"Hello?"

As soon as the door flies from it's hinges a ghostly figure of a beautiful young woman dressed in a tattered but lovely blue dress rises from the heap of fabric. In fact, much about the ghost is blue, including her hair, the tears that run from her pale blue eyes, and the clouds of smoke that drift from her lips.

Vesorianna bangs her head at the heavenly wall and asks herself if she talked to a wall as she relayed the information what that bone armor wizard took from the prison :P

As the group arrives at the workshop Vesorianna already awaits them. "Thank you for ending the Splatterman. I already cleaned out the prison and it's haunted days are over. With my husband gone and the prison cleared there is nothing holding me back any more. I'm leaving - thanks to you - to my long deserved rest. Take this badge with you. I don't need it where I go and it might be helpful to you on your journey."

The ghostly figure of Vesorianna then fades away until nothing is seen of her any more. On the pile of clothes on the ground remains the badge glowing in blue light.

"I don't know how far his influence reaches. But if it were not for me he would be free to go. Everything should end once the Splatterman is banned." Vesorianna replies.

"No, the Splattermann is still left. The others are inactive." Vesorianna replies. "You can leave these items here if you want. And please leave the badge here too."

As the group enters the room Vesorianna's ghost rises from the pile of laundry where her bones rest. "Oh, hello. You're back. Have you found my husband's badge?"

"Sorry, but I didn't know them personally. Only the stories my husband told me. Father Charlatan acted as a priest of whatever faith someone had to talk them out of their money. The Piper of Illmarsh had some creepy connection to stirges that killed his victims. The Mosswater Marauder smashed in his victims heads with a hammer. The Lopper beheaded his victims and the Splatterman spelled out the name of his Victims in blood in public before killing them."

"Good luck!"

"It were a group of people in black robes. Nothing special about them. Only that they never spoke loud enough to hear them. They were only whispering." Vesorianna replies.

"I don't know what happened in the night of the fire. I was locked in here until I suffocated because of the smoke." Vesorianna tells. "What are the exact dangers I don't know. I only feel the presence of these five."

"Once you bring me the badge and put an end to these five prisoners I can put this whole place to rest." Vesorianna replies.

There is nothing else of interest in the room.

"Some guy in dark robes wearing an amor made of bones."

"No one came into the building. But that evil wizard that took my husband away was on the estate. He and his minions." Vesorianna replies barely hiding her anger.

"Indeed. There might be ways in which these items can be used against their owners. But these are cursed items that would bring harm to the one using them too." Vesorianna explains.

"My husband was somewhere in the basement before he disappeared a few weeks ago. But be aware that the most dangerous prisoners where kept there."

"You can't. They would reappear. I can hinder that, but to finally put them to rest you must bring me the badge of my husband." Vesorianna replies.

"I'm Vesorianna Hawkran. I was looking for my husband as he was late for dinner. Just then the riot started and these... guards locked me in here to keep me safe. You can see what good came from that." Vesorianna answers Darius, smoke coming out of her mouth as she speaks.

"The prisoners are the Lopper, Father Charlatan, the Piper of Illmarsh, the Mosswater Marauder and the Splatterman. Everything was safe as long as my husband was here. But now that he is gone I have to hold them back. But something is eating away on my strength."

"I was hoping so. But maybe you can help too." the ghost replies. "The prisoners must be kept here in the prison. The must not be allowed to flee."

As the man stands there the ghost woman addresses him. "Good morning Sir. Are you the new guards from town?"
