How would you go about levels. Should I expand some of the maps. Big D is 34 so I would want my players to be around 30 by the end. So each adventure Should get players two and half levels. So make the dungeon areas bigger for more xp would seem to make sense, would that work?
From everything I read I get more and more amped each time. I am so IN
this is a tough I love paizo, but I really like what they doing for 4th. 3.5 has allot of flaws and can lag at times.
So I am hoping to be playing 4.0, I am hoping paizo will make the switch too.
And if 4.0 kills DnD than I will be begging paizo to give me something.
First I love Paizo. They have been create at talking to the funs. There customer service is the better than most places. There setting they created inspires me and I really want to see where it is going.
I want to continue to buy from this company.
I like 3.5, it has some bumps ,but it works. As far as 4th edition goes what there promising I really like. I like the changes they want to make to speed it up. I like the idea of giving players more options in charcter creation. I think allot of the cows that are being killed are going to be replaced by better rules. Wizards dispite many things want to make a rule set that will sale well so I think when it is done it will be a good investment. I really want to run those rules. I would love for paizo to make the switch if they can to 4.0 so I can still play in your world.
I told my GF about the warehouse jobs, and than I told her how far it is. She blinks and says hun a little long drive to work.
From what I read Gleemax is going to be part of the DI for DnD, just as it is going to be part of the DI for Magic and everything else.
Yeah things I wont use.
I went there and wow I am so confused at what it is?
I am going to go cuddle up with my players handbook, something I can understand.....
Comfy soft paper
Thirty minutes later
read the forums over at wizards.....
Gleemax....sounds like myspace for gamers..... From that junk the DI is going to be spawned from....
Just shot my F***en dog and get it over with. I am tired of watching it being slowly beaten to death.

Stay tuned till next Friday... I think we'll be posting the map of Sandpoint then for all to see...
OK I got to wait a week for those sad.....
what other info coming out next week? More Gods? Iconics? Monsters? Art?

oh well really I am up reading boards and finding erotic fanatsy with a new map. Thanks for posting.
WOW
I been waiting the last few days for this. I called my GF from work and had her describe this map to me. Stuff such as it is green and brown and I can not say half of the words. I am so excited about pathfinder. The people at Paizos are just amazing. There level of interaction with us all and there constant updates are the best Customer service I had in a long time.

I love paizo service, I recommend them to every one. There customer service is awsome. A few weeks ago I placed an order, than had allot of unexpected stuff creep up and had to cancel the order. That same day they sent me an email saying it was no problem and refunded me. I love these guys.

So that dose means Guns will be Common?
I also read a good point a few posts back, Sharks with lasers on there heads. Common too I take it right. I really like sharks and lasers. I also like cheese.
I remember when I was just getting into warhammer back in well gosh late 80's ealry 90's(4th-5th grade) I was really struck by an Issue of white dwarft and it is the issue that really sucked me in. I remember cause it was a Bday present with a bunch of orc minis. Anyways in it was a warhammer battle report between orcs and dwarves. The Dwarves had a huge number of rifle men and a cannon. That image of Dwarves has always stuck in my head. Other armies even have steam tanks and reapeting hand guns. It was nice color to the game world. Gun powder weapons never really over powered any army and gave it some nice flair. Of course I was also raised on the FF games too, so yeah I am all kinds of messed up in regards to gun. The most I ever used them was in a victorian ravenloft london thing with Ad&D.
I never thought of using software before, I just have notes and notes. Are they really that helpful, if so which ones would be best.
I like Greyness, the blury lines. It is more real. I am an adult, I do not want to always run adventure that are clean and disney. So the idea of the ghouls really being ghouls just makes sense. That demons and devils are evil. I like the idea of the scrimsaw murders, been awhile sense I gave someone the creeps at the table.

Hey there!
We will indeed be carrying Reaper's entire line of prepainted plastic minis. I haven't seen any pictures of the paint jobs of the minis, but as soon as I see some, I will make sure to get them up on the website. Hopefully they carry on the great sculpting of the Reaper line. Can't wait!

Wow it is after one and I got a response. I love you guys so much! Well I am waiting to order mine with you nice paizo people.

Mike McArtor wrote: daysoftheking wrote: Is the world of Pathfinder going to have one single unified pantheon, with each race paying homage to the same gods (or demon lords, as the case may be)? This is our intent, yes. We like the idea of there being universal deities worshiped by different races in their own ways and for their own specific reasons. And there's nothing stopping a particular race might favor a deity more than other races (for example, the dwarves might favor the god of mining more than elves do). The dwarves might depict most deities as dwarves, of course, while elves show them as elves and different human cultures depict them as humans from their cultures, but at the end of the day all the deities are the same. Sweat, that makes the most sense, Different Gods will appeal to different races, such as the Goddess of Love and orcs. I mean elves

That Iconic I fell in love with the first time I saw her. Special ink of warding maybe, cause she aint got much else on to protect her.
I remember in the old unearthed arcana where they talk about the world being divided by the races and when they asked Grimish where his people will live he said they shall live everywhere by making war on the other races. That is the type of orcs I like the whole race that is at war with everything.
I think I just read the hobbit too much and love the hair on there tiny feet, with there fat little bellies.
I also think Gnomes with big bulbous noses that tinker and stuff are not that cool. I liked the trickster side of them.
Elves I always saw as a more of a sad race, than unshaved hippies. I never liked hippies. They smell.
I want to see old school orcs, the ones with pig like faces. That and hairy fat Halfings.
ok. Feel better. Just went off on a rant about how much monsters have changed.
Rise of the Runelords has very strong giant themes to it. There will indeed be Gargantuan and Colossal giants before all is said and done. I read this and could not stop giggling with joy. Not only of the battle against these giant but also I was thinking what cities they would build. made me think of lovecrafts at the mountain of madness.
what is great over on the wizards boards scott rouse is answearing questions. He gave me suce wonderful insights such as campign settings are importent and paper prouducts are importent.
In the end thank you paizo for holding are hands in this and not treating us like idiots.

I love them. Would I like more kinds of dragons? Oh boy yeah! Every time Dragon had an issue that covered new kinds of dragons I bought it. I would go for a multiplicity of dragons, all of them with their own cultures and individual personalities besides.
I don't see the color thing as racism, not in the slightest--since a well concieved individual dragon, regardless of color, will have a distinct personality within it's greater racial bounds. It's like saying there shouldn't be gnomes or elves, because then you see an elf and go "ho-hum he eats daisies and thinks he's better than me..." or you see a gnome and think "oh here we go again, he's going to talk my ear off about some invention..." While these are stereotypes, they serve as cultural jumping off points to make hundreds of neat characters within their spectrum, or perhaps a nice contrast for individuals that step outside their usual box and challenge the preconceptions--rattling the cage a bit.
I'd like to see dragons in Pathfinder, classic dragons as they were meant to be--ancient and magical and neigh invulnerable. Much like goblins (who I'm convinced now that only Pathfinder have ever really done justice) I would like to see the re-imagining of dragons be a purification and crystalization of the things that have made them great rather than see what whacked out new things can be done with flying lizards (Easy-Cheese breath weapon!)
Though as to the larger issue of this thread--monster submissions for Pathfinder--I have to say, I've got a ton of ideas I'm itching to submit. I really am gunning to get my foot in the door to leave a mark on the Pathfinder setting. Granted until things like the Player's Guide come out I'm going to be a bit of an outsider (not ever using adventures...
I grew up with dragons this way and I do not need them to be wacked out with death ray eyes or anything too far out there. I would to see them as they are supposed to be, this powerful elder race that could eat if it mood struck. I never used a dragon and not have my pcs quickly deciding to run or fight cause they give them pause. As far as reweaving the idea and fit pathfinder like the Goblins I am excited about that. Heck I do not think I ever really got excited about goblins before.
New monsters. I got allot and would love to submit them.

I agree with you a hundred percent. I grew up on DnD and coming back to it after many years it seemed to be a strange monster with all those feats and complete books. I was excited, but when I started buying from WOTC I felt like I was getting ripped off. So I started buying dungeon one of my favorite parts of the game, and was blown away with what paizo was doing with the Savage Tide Adventure path and than with in a month the news hit about the end of Dragon and Dungeon and I was blown away. The work Paizo did was the only real good thing I saw out there, and than it was taken away. Started reading all the posts and saw I am not the only one disappointed in the path that wizard is taking. So i jumped onto pathfinder.
I do not need three thousand monsters and twice that many feats. I need stories and settings to capture my imagination, just as the AD&D captured mine. I could care less about rules, if there is nothing behind them. I am a very busy person so I need help creating telling those stories and we have that help in paizo. Thank you so much for being there for all of us. I really need to thank you all for your assurance of the course of your products and talking to us as fellow gamers not just consumers.

Those advertisers already know that the readers of Pathfinder are their market, and if the subscription numbers are good, they might want in. Obviously they couldn't charge as much for ads, but it might help a bit. Well, if you can successfully make that pitch to advertising agencies, I foresee a future in sales. It's not really a theoretical exercise: advertisers pay for ads or they don't. I can't think of the last time I've seen an ad in a book, even a book that is marketed to a particular niche audience (including other gaming books). Why not product placement, I will us my starbuck sword of dragon slaying.

-Lisa see that was my worry. 3.x is the best system they have done for D&D(it many flaws I can live with) and I can live with it other places give us good stuff to use. Cause as far as rumor go 4th is going to be the death knell of the type of game i like.

Last night i believed it....
wow they got me

Any big announcements will have to wait until GenCon. But we already have a fair idea of the direction we're going for 4e.
Just like the 3e Design Team, we took a hard look at the "sacred cows" of D&D, and decided which make the game a better experience, and which we've been hanging on to for nostalgia. We've already decided to ditch hit points and armor class, for example - if you look at some of the sneak peeks of the SW Saga Edition on the site, you'll see we've already implemented some of it there.
One of out aims with 4e is to make the game easier to understand and of a more uniform quality, so you can sit down at a table anywhere in the world and understand what's going on. To achieve this, we'll be introducing a registration system for DMs, and a ranking system supported by regular seminars and training courses. We're not sure exactly how the pricing structure will work out yet, and we may offer some sort of subsidy to international DMs to offset the costs of flights to Seattle. DMs who aren't yet charging their players a monthly membership fee should perhaps consider instituting one, because otherwise they'll reap the benefits of a 5th, 10th, or 15th level DM while he or she pays for all the courses to get there! As well as the training, we also hope to see an increase in the standard of excellence of licensed DMs as they reach higher levels and devote the expected hours to preparation and playtesting. It's going to be exciting!
The pressure from the MMORPG market has also led us to include a lot of features from those games. You've already seen the start of a shift to a "per-encounter" philosophy with 3.5e products like the Book of Nine Swords. This will be inherent in most aspects of 4e. The prototype Monster Cards I've seen so far include a lot of creatures with the Spawn ability - not the 3e ability to create new wights or shadows, but the ability for monsters to reappear after a set period of time. The new stat block format includes an Aggro Radius, though I understand this is a working term and will likely change before publication.
While a lot of the MMORPG companies discourage or prohibit online trading relating to the game, we're going to embrace it. One of the complaints we've heard over and over for the past few years is that the character creation process for characters above 1st level doesn't lead to "organic characters". We're hoping the online trading will address this problem; instead of creating a 5th level character, for example, the player can log in to the D&D Trading Post and purchase a 5th level character that another player has played through from 1st level, thus avoiding the "organic character" complaint. The Trading Post will also permit players to trade gold, magic item cards, and experience points, all for a very small transaction fee.
I've probably already said more than I should, but around GenCon time, keep an eye on the site - I expect there will be some snippets posted showing the contents of a 4e starter pack, and maybe even a peek at a booster pack. I'm really excited about the work we're doing right now.

I love that movie not sure I ever ran into someone else who saw IT!
Questions
Can the OGL be pulled too?
and is the SRD list?
It seems to be a pretty well known fact that when 4.0 comes out they will no longer be doing an OGL, what does that mean for pathfinder? I am confused about all this?

I just wanted to say thank you so much for this, I am looking forward to discorving this new world.
That is what I find the most exicting thing is that it is a whole new world to explore and I am looking forward to finding all new places to kill my pcs in. Any info on the Gods yet? What about the planes?
I am on board with pathfinder. I subscribe to dungeon off and on in the last 1o or more years. My last subscription was when Paizo took over and I loved it and getting back into the game now I wanted to subscribe to it again, but at last it is over so the time to start a new era. When My players finish there current FR campign I will be starting rune lord and only be buying minatures from WOTC. I am really excited about this and just hope Paizo can keep it going and make good content. I barely no anything about the Pathfinder series, but I trust Paizo.
