Sure, we/they are whittling them down, but still... Those bugbears are tough. Claw has AC 35, and they had no problem landing a few blows on him last turn.
My main worry is that I've managed to anger both sides enough to drop their mutual hostility and cooperate in killing us. Having said that, I had (and still have) no better solutions to how to get out of the giant-on-bugbear fracas.
Man, this is a big bad fight...
Cool! He's an older, tougher giant, after all.
Gjetost launches a mighty swing at the nearest enemy.
5' step to NO 11-12 before attacking the giant in NO 8-9. Attack 1: 11+19+3(bard)-3(power attack)=AC 30, damage 9+16+3(bard)+9(power attack)=37. Attack 2: 13+14+3(bard)-3(power attack)=AC 27, damage 6+16+3(bard)+9(power attack)=34.
Gjetost's profile is on Altai's character sheet. His only belongings are a greatclub and a chain shirt.

So, re: foraging. We now are:
Heathy - Aelph (Human Infernal Warlock)
Raggy - Marc Wyvernspur (Human Dragon Sorcerer)
Vatters - Heimoth (Half-elf Paladin)
Waggy - Hasren Gunnarson (Half-Elf Bard)
Glodders - Terra Everbloom (Elf Druid)
Detters - Sefra Everbloom (Elf Monk)
As 5 PCs are needed for surveying, Terra's off doing foraging. The rest of us can assist on her roll; Sefra and Heimoth have already done so.
Having said that, we probably don't want the druid zooming around alone in case something happens... How often do we need to forage? Perhaps we should do it every other or even every third day?

Congrats!
Looks like mine (due December) will be a girl too. Excellent! Should we start scheduling playdates?

So... Will we see Oso return triumphant? Or is the challenge posed by the level 0 henchgirl just too much?
One more thing - unless Raggy (or Aubrey) objects, the new druid gets the set of magical Sylvan hide +1. That's how we prefer to divvy up treasure - items are assigned according to need and how useful they are to the PC, using the honour system to make sure it more or less evens out in the longer term.
We're signing up new party members?
Welcome!

As always, I'm inclined to blame Banquat.
Technically I think the couple were married something like half a year ago and we're just doing the festivities now. However, it IS in Estes Park...

This movie had some potential, but deteriorated into a self-congratulatory oh-aren't-we-clever schlockfest. Shame.
That's a nice step up. Congratulations!
Huzzah! Where are you bound for next? Some place that doesn't habitually send you to US hellholes?
I'm going to a wedding in Colorado this weekend, so I'll be out of town and off the grid from later today until Monday afternoon.

If Illes can stay on the beach and help get people back on land, Alwyn will climb up on the barn roof and help Camlo lower a rope into the ferry.

If Janosz comes up again before I'm back, he'll drink his potion of CMW.

We'll drop off Gittik and Oso in Asgard - they were clearly meant to be in such a place, fighting and partying until the end of days.
Bah! That's too bad, though fully understandable.
On the bright side, that means more treasure for the rest of us!

Um, anyway, I'd like to forge a reputation for our party (and fledgling realm) that we are firm, but fair, and we will give truly repentant outlaws a second chance at a law-abiding life - and, as importantly, that while we are quite comfortable with killing enemies, those that surrender will be treated fairly.
Speaking of comfort levels, I'm extremely uncomfortable with executing a clearly mentally ill person, but what are we supposed to do with him? If he's mostly non-violent, perhaps he can be trusted to just futz around and help with yeardwork and such? The other guy, on the other hand, just gets 20 lashes and is then exiled northwards with a very clear order to never to come back.

W00t! I now get iterative attacks! Watch out, Stig and Gittik! Fear the +5/+0 dagger routine, doing 1d4-1 damage.
Ogay. As I don't get any feats on this level, I'll just take another level of wizard. I rolled a 3 on hit points, put +1 to INT and skills go in the usual spots. My new spells are Beast shape IV and the old chestnut Disintegrate.
BTW, the Rage Prophet sounds great for Gittik, with all his spirit totem experiences.
Don't Summoners get "spell-like abilities" rather than spells? If so, I can see why they can only have one summoning spell at a time - otherwise they could summon more or less unlimited numbers of monsters. But EITHER the eidolon OR a summoned monster sounds kinda lame.
Still, the class I'm most juiced about is the oracle; that class sounded so cool.
This fight and its attendant treasure has also inspired me to create a monk with a ki focus greataxe sometime.
dungeonmaster heathy wrote: I....don't know where the whole "monks suck" schtick comes from. They're pretty badass. There's a fairly substantial thread somewhere on why the Fighter is such a terrible, terrible class. All I can say is, dudes, have you seen Hudak or Stig dish out pain??
Seriously, it seems like our game threads disprove every complaint from those so-called 'authorities'. Why anyone listens to them is a huge mystery to me.
dungeonmaster heathy wrote: I love it when the simplest build seems so utterly magical. It's all about the presentation - it is always cool when you have a baddie doing handstands while shanking you in the kidney.
Cool! With the (literally) out-of-this-world CON scores outsiders have, a few extra HD builds hit points real fast. And, yeah, monks rock.

Dammit, the first time I use displacement (had it for over a year) and I waste it. I vacillated; with all the f!*%ing hit points Vimanda had, I wasn't sure I should make that guy an ubertank too. She had something in the neighbourhood of 220 hit points, right? If you don't mind me asking, what was the post-MM add-ons? Was she some sorta high-mobility monk/fighter/rogue combo, a Runzyl-style whirling barbarian or something new and cool from the APG? I'm just curious about the general build.

Ah yes, the 'Wall of death'... This is flat-out nuts. Crowd insanity starts around 2:15. Also, Rob Dukes is a monster. I was a little skeptical when they brought him on board, but having seen them live, all doubts are gone.
