<p>They may know their is a enemy in the area but, they don't know who or what they are facing to recognize the pc as an enemy "yet". This is because of greater invisibility. The act of attacking doesn't stop greater invisibility from working. So the orcs in this case have to beat the ninjas "passive" stealth. (stealth skill total + 20/40) Once that is done by any one of the orcs then the assassinate skill can't be used. <p>Cleric you see a (description) portal over thar. You remember from your training that this is a (whatever) portal and demons can spawn through it or blah blah. You'll need to make (3 successful DC 15 k-religion? checks) or do X amount of positive energy damage (channeling) to it in order to close it.</p>

<p>Soon they are going into defensive mode and making sure you can do your job uninterrupted. And reeeally hoping you get this job done soon before they're overwhelmed and have to try to flee. </blockquote><p>I did the reverse of this the other day and it worked out well for my Wednesday game.
<p>The group had to fight there way into a mine/cave to get to something that was creating skeletons. I had The difficulty slowly build up as they pressed in. I think 7/9 members really enjoyed it. Cleric you see a (description) portal over thar. You remember from your training that this is a (whatever) portal and demons can spawn through it or blah blah. You'll need to make (3 successful DC 15 k-religion? checks) or do X amount of positive energy damage (channeling) to it in order to close it.

<p>In Sandpoint Valmoon was introduced to two other individuals both from the town. One a very capable female warrior and the other her childhood friend a male "scout" who's is infatuated with "pies" (in window sills). After events happened Valmoon found himself with these two quite a bit.</p>
<p>After the sawmill and the finding of Ven Vinder's daughter Kathrine dead. Valmoon placed a "false life medallion" gotten from Nualia hoping it could help in some way. Gm ruled that it would in fact help her stay "fresh". Valmoon then promised Mr. Ven he would help bring her back if it was within his power. Telling him that he should spend his time loving his currently living daughter the attention she desires and desires. (Valmoon has been "involved" with Shayliss helping her plot to get dad's attention using his room to provide the illusion of her being involved with an "adventurer."</p>
<p>we cleared Foxglove manor and fallowed the leads to Magnimar, Valmoon's home town. We got to the foxglove townhouse and found the "foxgloves" alive and well there to great us.</p>
<p>Here's were the problem is. Real live prevented me from showing up on time last session. The two group members were able to kill two faceless stalkers in the time it took me to get there.</p>
<p>in character I knew about the foxgloves already being dead. As I was the one who "freed" the wife. So the two monsters in the townhouse wasn't a surprise.</p>
<p>The Gm informed me that I had suddenly realized I had something to do else were. So I wasn't there for the fight. No big deal the scout asked for ability point help that I gave him. They then in character gave me $736GP as my share in the fight. no other information was given to me in character as they dragged me to a saw mill.</p>
<p>Would a CN character find this odd enough to investigate?</p>
<p>I feel like my character would based on a backstory with Calistria but, it could be player knowledge creeping in.</p>
<p>As a player they were bragging about getting a "tun" of gold and a house, exc.</p>
<p>They don't know that I just spent $7,992GP on the downtime system. (Lawyers, Bureaucrats, and the like.)</p>
<p>(I'm trying to grow better as a role player and blend/mix that in with my current character building habits. This is my second year playing pathfinder and love it.)

<p>I own the book and started to read the first book before getting invited to the campaign. I told the GM and he was ok with that as long as i stopped reading (I did and only got to the glassworks).</p>
<p>The characters name is Valmoon.</p>

<p>In Sandpoint Valmoon was introduced to two other individuals both from the town. One a very capable female warrior and the other her childhood friend a male "scout" who's is infatuated with "pies" (in window sills). After events happened Valmoon found himself with these two quite a bit.</p>
<p>After the sawmill and the finding of Ven Vinder's daughter Kathrine dead. Valmoon placed a "false life medallion" gotten from Nualia hoping it could help in some way. Gm ruled that it would in fact help her stay "fresh". Valmoon then promised Mr. Ven he would help bring her back if it was within his power. Telling him that he should spend his time loving his currently living daughter the attention she desires and desires. (Valmoon has been "involved" with Shayliss helping her plot to get dad's attention using his room to provide the illusion of her being involved with an "adventurer."</p>
<p>we cleared Foxglove manor and fallowed the leads to Magnimar, Valmoon's home town. We got to the foxglove townhouse and found the "foxgloves" alive and well there to great us.</p>
<p>Here's were the problem is. Real live prevented me from showing up on time last session. The two group members were able to kill two faceless stalkers in the time it took me to get there.</p>
<p>in character I knew about the foxgloves already being dead. As I was the one who "freed" the wife. So the two monsters in the townhouse wasn't a surprise.</p>
<p>The Gm informed me that I had suddenly realized I had something to do else were. So I wasn't there for the fight. No big deal the scout asked for ability point help that I gave him. They then in character gave me $736GP as my share in the fight. no other information was given to me in character as they dragged me to a saw mill.</p>
<p>Would a CN character find this odd enough to investigate?</p>
<p>I feel like my character would based on a backstory with Calistria but, it could be player knowledge creeping in.</p>
<p>As a player they were bragging about getting a "tun" of gold and a house, exc.</p>
<p>They don't know that I just spent $7,992GP on the downtime system. (Lawyers, Bureaucrats, and the like.)</p>
<p>(I'm trying to grow better as a role player and blend/mix that in with my current character building habits. This is my second year playing pathfinder and love it.)

So here's the plan, the Wormwood will sail on to our planned destination with our new shipmates here. While Mr plug and master scourge will pick a skeleton crew to sail The Man's Promise to Port Pearl, where she will be worth a pretty penny as salvage. As for these fine fellows here" Harrigan gestures at the remainder of the captured ship's crew, "Some of them with no doubt be with quite a ransom from their families back in Azir and for the rest, if the life of a pirate is not for them... Well then they can spend the rest of their lives at sea!</b></p>
<p>To make a point Harrigan grabs one of the Rahadoumi and throws her over boards to the accomplishment of cheers and laughter from the wormwood's crew. As an unfortunate woman sinks beneath the waves many other Rahadoumi soldiers scramble to swear allegiance.</p>
<p>The new sailors dispatch to do their new daily tasks MR. Plugs and Master Scourge take several of the Wormwood's original crew and tell them to board the man's promise within 10 minutes to set sail. As MR. Scourge chose the lot of you to join his crew an evil smile never leaves his face. You have little doubt that what is to come is no good for you or the rest of the new crew.</p>

<p>The groups you are comparing are Race, Class and, Feats.</p>
<p>Looking at the book the Tieflings, the "evil" version of Aasimar, don't get a Demon Wings feat. So why should an Aasimar get a angelic version? </p>
<p>As you stated your Aasimar's wings never go away! There are no minimum cast times or maximum cast times. Meaning you can fly whenever you want without worrying about how many minutes you have used them today.</p>
<p>The witch and Oracle ability to fly per the hex spell or Revelations maxes out at 20 min. Adding to this using their ability forces them to use AT LEST 1 min of the spell per casting that is a minimum of 20 casts.</p>
<p>Combat isn't the only time you may find yourself using your wings. Climbing? - why bother? you can fly up that cliff at no negative impact to you.</p>
<p>That Oracle or witch they have to burn 1 minute of their hex / revelation to do the same thing. That is 1 less minute they will not have for later on.</p>

The groups you are comparing are Race, Class and, Feats.
Looking at the book the Tieflings, the "evil" version of Aasimar, don't get a Demon Wings feat. So why should an Aasimar get a angelic version?
As you stated your Aasimar's wings never go away! There are no minimum cast times or maximum cast times. <p>The gm has so far made the campaign about killing undead types. Not knowing this at the start I built my character poorly and then made a bad choice. This caused him to die. So using the information I have know about the campaign I am aiming for an <b>Oracle(Of Life)</b>. That said when the game "started" the main boss of the city we were in gave us each a Cohort.</p>
<p>I am not a fan of my current Cohort and plan to peacefully let him go when we get back to town, picking up a new one in his place. That said I would love for the Cohort and my new character to have a good history together. </p>
<p>So here is were I need help, the campaign is based on the D&D forgotten realm deities. I know next to nothing about any of the D&D deities or any D&D history past about two years ago. (When I started playing D&D and pathfinder.) So building a backstory to "make" my character care to be there is rather hard. </p>

However, the wizard casts grease on one of the tied up soldiers and with that both finally manage to brake free from the ropes and start to head to the other side of the ship. So you can't exactly grab or use components if you can't get at them correct? Still spell removes that issue.
<p>Honestly no probably not but, if they get hit and drop below 0 but, are not dead dead. Then you auto stabilize them without moving, on your turn with that ability as they received healing.</p>

<p>The basics of this build make you a healing beam of awesome. The basic idea is to make it so you do not require movement, speech, or a divine focus to cast spells. (At lest until this point as Oracles don't require a divine focus.) With Safe Curing, Channel (Positive) Energy, Energy Body, Enhanced Cures and, life link as revelations you will be healing massive amounts of damage. Safe curing makes any cure spell you cast NOT provoke and Enhanced Cures makes that cure _____ wounds heal for the dice + <b>Your Oracle level</b>! You will find that helpful as your teammates take damage (with life link attached to them) you'll be taking 5 damage for them a round until they are only missing 4 hit points. Then when you cast channel positive energy to heal, the over all amount of damage healed is a lot greater. Then lastly energy body this is just pure win for hurting any undead. If you haven't read it I'll post it its that good.</p>

<p>The sudden jolt of the ship makes the sailor watching over the Rahadoumi prisoners stagger into bars of the cell and then onto his sword as three unknown persons approach. Peppery can be seen on the forecastle, standing there ready to act.</p>
<p>In time the vessel now identifiable as a rahadoumi vessel closes to within a close firing range. At exactly that moment the ship cannon go off and the opposing ship's crew open fire as well. A moment later, Peppery goes into a fury of casting and the rahadoumi ship is covered no in a blanket of fog. As the ships move closer and closer together, the rahadoumi vessel sails out of one cloud only to be trapped in another. </p>
<p>The ships finally come near enough that the pirates begin hooking the two vessels together. As the ships come together pirates swarm over the rails onto the other ship, Captain Harrigan at the front, all of them disappearing into the fog.</p>
<p><span class=messageboard-ooc>There are 6 rahadoumi sailors between the aft deck and sterncastle. Two with swords on both stairs up blocking a clear path, two with muskets on the sterncastle, one with a holy symbol and one hands free.The last two are on the Aft deck.</span></p>
<p><span class=messageboard-ooc>The fog is very thick. So concealment against those adjacent to you. Full Concealment (effectively invisible) against those further away. Same effect as a fog cloud spell. The ship will move in and out of the fog, so I'll let you know when it lifts and when it returns. #4 Duo is the primary target of the cultist, even though he has no holy symbol(Oracles don't need a deity like a Cleric does so no need for the symbol) and doesn't speak to cast spells.(Oracles curse deaf does this at no penalty.)

#5 If the character spends 2 hero points, the GM can decide that the damage is reduced enough to prevent him from being killed. (Ok I'm still dead next turn as the fire is still in effect and a big chunk of the baddie group is next to me. As this only puts me at -9 of -10 and stable but, doesn't stop the fire or help me get away from the baddies next to me.)</p>

<p>If he is prone then why can't I move into that space and heal him? Causing all the spiders to attack me but, giving him the opportunity to stand (into dim light area) and move away. By healing him at all at this point Duo has for the most part made sure Duo would be the one to die. So I may as well die to save him, if I'm extremely lucky I may be able to get out but, I have a feeling that will not happen.</p>

Better to die fighting here and have earned nothing (not counting the maps) then to die because they returned empty handed AND burned the ship down before exploring it.</p>
