I'm not sure he's coming back. Meh. I might.

Valen has some cure potions on his person I think.
Actually, I don't.
Dirk, if your character's a moon elf, then why do you have a drow avatar?

By the way, who left? What do you mean Somebody left the game, and Nym stepped in. I was just wondering who left.

Even worse was that the backup generator skyted out at about 9:30 because snow got in the vents. f%#&.
I'm a bit confused as to what's going on, so before I decide to do anything, could you clarify please?
Will Trev Oli wrote: Resistance is futile you are faced with over 100 bearded devils, 10 pitfiends and an aspect of Bel. If you want to resist youll have to break out of custody at some point. Sorry. I didn't really understand the context of what was going on.
Valin struggles against the heavy chains binding him, trying vainly to reach for his sword. The firy cracks in his skin appear to widen, and an unearthly wail rises from his mouth.
"A thousand curses against you Mephistopheles! Your experiment shall be your downfall!"
Jeez. I'm gone for a week and everything goes to hell. Literally.
Anyway,
Valin has been lurking near the rear of the group ever since the Narguzon attack.
However, as the bar scene dissolves away, he howls in a mixture of terror and rage.
"They lied! They told me I had a hundred years and they lied! Those bastards! I'll make them wish they hadn't brought me back!"
Valin's eyes flash as he bares his bladelike teeth. He has not changed fully into his natural form, but in places, embers glow through his skin.
He draws his sword and prepares for a fight of epic proportions...
Valin uses his Detect Sworn Foe ability
Valin's calm demeanor falls away, as do his flickering, bland features. Underneath the suppression mask is the gnarled, skull-like visage of one of the Hellbred, competitors in a contest between the Infernal powers and the gods.
Valin swiftly reaches for his belt pouch, pulls out a small tin, dips his fingers into the blood-red paint within, and drags them across his face. Letting out a bloodcurdling shriek, he raises his greatsword and charges after the hellish cackling.
I'm going to be away from my computer and out of state from Sunday to Saturday, so if Valin could be an NPC for that time, that would be great.
Just remember the character description and motivations for RP flavor, and you'll be all set.
"Off of the beaten path is where I shall sojourn," says the odd-looking warrior, "but only if that is the general consensus of the group. However, I would definitely suggest it. We will reach our objective sooner that way. And the sooner we reach our objective, the sooner I get to... never mind..."
Valin buys nothing. Instead, he wanders the general area, face tuned to the sky, gazing directly into the sun. For a moment, the flickering in his face stops.

Perhaps a character description may start off the adventure. Here's Valin's:
From a distance, Valin MacLeod seems to be human. However, on close inspection, he seems a bit... off. Standing over six feet tall, his body is whip-thin and strangely flexible, like a willow withe. His skin is pale, and seems to flicker oddly, as if it is but an illusion. Valin's thick shoulder-length gray hair streams back from his face like smoke from an oil fire. Most strangely of all, his eyes are dead black, like a shark's.
Valin is dressed in the simple black traveling clothes of a commoner, but three things mark his garb as unusual:
- A thin bronze plate scored by strange symbols dangles from his neck by a rough hemp rope.
- He wears heavy, gold-plated bracers with a skull motif.
- Across his back is slung a large and striking-looking greatsword. This sword appears to have been graven from a single massive slab of silver ore, and is unadorned, save for an eldritch inscription along the blade, which for anyone who can read Old Imaskari or Infernal reads "this flame of vengeance shall stand to no one."
While Valin may look like a creature spawned from the depths of the Underdark, he seems to relish the sun's light, along with anything of the natural world; the trees, the grass, wind, running water; and speaks in a bright, crystalline voice like that of a celestial. While normally extremely eloquent and polite, he occasionally lets slip an angry, venemous outburst. If this happens, he immediately apologises. However, it is impossible to tell if he means what he says.
