The 1st level spell Break
School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a twig)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one Medium or smaller object
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Fortitude negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)
You can attempt to break or at least damage any one Medium or smaller object within range. If the target fails its Fortitude saving throw, it gains the broken condition. If cast on a broken item, that item is destroyed on a failed save.

Can you cast this on an NPC's sword while in his hand? If so, what save does it get?

I am about to begin playing a Forgemaster, which I like the class. However it seems it is limited on how many runes I can choose from. Also at first level is its very limited.

Is there a supplement or someplace that has more example rune that I can choose from?

Ideas on making up our own runes?

thanks

My group is in Riddleport and I am setting up a fight against a halfling pirate and crew. It will be on land. Just need a cool name :)

Some I thought of,
Pirate Half-pint - kinda lame :)
Pirate Grub

any suggestions?

thanks

Is there a devil version of a succubus?

I am looking for a devil type creature to seduce a character :)

Ok, since we are the content. Would not it be awesome if we could create our own dungeons or encounters. Not sure how it worked, but something like:
1 - cave entrance in game - You tie your entrance to it, the cave can have more than 1 player made dungeon. Player selects which one they want to go in.

2 - player uses an ingame dungeon maker, CoH had something like this. You get a certain amount of gold or something that you can use to make your dungeon. Based on the dungeon level you select and amount of gold, you get a choice of monsters to put in it.

I do not know, just kinda thinking out loud :)

Hey all, had a very fun, interesting game this past weekend. Ill try and be brief setting the scene and then I would like your opinion on if you would do anything concerning the cleric.

Player - first time playing Pathfinder, but has rpg'ed before but not sure of how much and what game.

Half-Orc Cleric of Milani - CG
She was captured as a child and escaped. Does not know much about Orc "Culture" as we like to say :)

They have traveled too Urglin. She is very happy to be around some Orc's and see what that part of her heritage is about. The party does good to keep her away from slavers and such in the city. However she goes out for a date with an Orc. They goto a section of the city that has gambling, games of strength...etc Her Orc date shows her one of these games. I made the game up, its called Goblin Headball, a goblin in put into a stockade type contraption. only his head is up, his arms and legs are bound. You take a big wooden stick and you have 3 swings to knock his head off and see how far it rolls. Whoever rolls it the farthest, wins 5gold.
Yes, I was watching baseball when I came up with it :)

I was expecting her to get pissed and outraged. However, I got the opposite. She really liked it and wanted to do it. She asked about the goblins, I told her that they were criminals and such and this is there punishment. They are inherently evil creatures also. She had one placed, but unbound his legs and arms, his head was till stuck. She wacked him good and off went his head.

She was having a great time, so next they went to goblin tugwar. Basically whoever pulls the biggest piece of the goblin during the tug wins, her and her date won. They also went to an Orc concert so to speak. Basically a bunch of Orc's pounding on "drums" while everyone slammed danced. They went to dinner and back to his place for the night, so he could finish teaching her about Orc "Culture" :)

ok, now should I do anything to cleric concerning these acts. I do think it was not quite right for a good cleric to do this, however I am also not sure she really understand the aliment/cleric part. Here are my thoughts.

1 - Have the goddess speak to her in a dream concerning her actions. how she felt about them and if she is going to continue.
2 - adjust her alignment by 1 to CN - have the goddess speak to her
3 - do nothing, goblins are evil and such do not deserve any mercy
4 - have a another cleric of Milani, which she does know one. Speak with her about what happened.

The following morning when her character made it back to the Inn where the party was. One of the members ask her how her night went. Her comment, "Best night ever!" so I know the player's are having fun :)

Opinions.

Not sure if I am handling this correctly.
Scene
1 monster with 15ft reach, 3 squares including the one he is in?

When an PC moves to him and stops 2 squares, he is is attacked by attack of opportunity since the monster has reach?

What if the PC closes all the to the monster, either full move or charge. Does the monster get opportunity attack on the PC before he gets to him?

Hey all :)

I am looking for some overland encounter/quest ideas. The group is 6 level 5, currently at Carrion Hill. They will be traveling either to the east - Celwynvian or the south - Andoran. I am have been reading the general geographical information and have a few ideas of my own.

However I would like to hear other ideas for encounters or little quest they can do along the way. They do not have teleport so it will either be on foot or horse.

Thanks.

The druid in the game has a pet badger, which does really good. He would like to find a way to enhance the badger with magic items and or armor.
I do not mind him trying to do this, I am just trying to find a way to make fair. Here is what I am thinking.

Druid spends one of his feats on armor proficiency animal(made up feat)
Then he would need to take a trick to gain light armor prof for the badger
Then another tick to gain medium armor prof. I highest he can have is hide or scale.

he also wants to add a magic ring or something to the badger. this would require a 1 trick per slot, he can open 1 ring (ear) and 1 neck slot.

Opinions? Does this make the badger too powerful?

I am running my group through Carrion Hill. There are 6 of them and all 30pt characters. Group started out as 3 which is why the high point system but and ended with 6. Well 2 things have come out so far in the adventure.

1. The group got the ritual book but did not give it to the mayor. They did not trust the mayor or anyone else for that matter. I thought that was kind of funny, since the module does not count for if the players do not show him the book. Surprisingly the mage does have linguistics and history along with spell craft. So after all night of studying he did find out about the names of the keepers but not a lot else.

Spoiler:
2.Keeper Hyve – I added some help in the first room with him as 6 level 5 vs 1 level 7 rogue was not going to much of a fight. I may have missed something in the second room he goes, the one down the chute. Is there a way out? Besides climbing back up 20ft to the tunnel, I did not read anywhere that there was another exit? My group stone shaped a hook into the wall and tied 150ft of rope together which is how they got out.

3. The ranger who was on one of the ledges attempts to swim over to the other ledge to make room for another party member coming down the chute. He jumps into the water and fails his swim roll. He then proceeds to fail the next 3 rolls and is sinking to the bottom. The rogue finally jumps in to save him, once he makes it back up the fight is over. It was funny :)

4. Once backup they went to meet the mayor. Once again the paranoia started. They would not tell him that they killed him, only that something got to him and he is dead. Of course, that something was the 2-handed specialized bull strengthen fighter :)

Hey all,

I am thinking of posting about my game, how it's setup, the characters and story. Possible get some feedback on ideas and general entertainment :)

However, not sure what board to post under since there a lot of different ones. Is there a board where others have posted about there campaigns and whats going on?

Or, is the general discussion the best place?

Thanks.

I can not seem to find the location that list the different gods and pantheons. Is it in the Core book or advanced players? Or do I need to purchase a new book that list's them?

thanks,

He all, I have looked over the adventure path and none seem to really fit what I want to do. My group does not like to stay in 1 spot too long. So I am going to mix and match some modules together with an over-arching story of my own. I just want to get your thoughts on the modules I have chosen, especially those who have run the below modules. I am running 2 different groups.

group 1
• Crown of the Kobold King level 1
• Carnival of Tears (D&D) level 5
• Realm of the Felnight Queen level 7
• Beyond the Vault of Souls (D&D) level 9
• Tomb of Iron Medusa level 14

group 2
• Souls of Smuggler's Shiv level 1
• The Midnight Mirror level 4 dueout in Feb
• Carrion Hill level 5
• Crucible of Chaos (D&D) level 8
• Curse of the Riven level 10
• Blood of the Dragonscar (D&D) level 15

I have ran and played many games, but this is first time running Pathfinder. However from what I read I think it should not be too hard to get the groups to follow along.

thanks

New to pathfinder but not to D&D in general.

I am looking for what class out of the main core book and or the advanced book would you recommend for a primary healer for party. Also what about arch-types? Recommend build, feats...etc

Thanks

I have been playing a long time but have not DM in awhile or used a module. I am reviewing the Crown of the Kobold King. In it is EL (# and a number)

what is this referencing?

Feeling like I failed my Int. roll :/
