Description
Ulven is six feet tall and broad through the shoulders. He has a bushy blond beard and hair that is pulled back in several short thick braids. His voice is deep and booms whenever he talks and his face is expressive and open. He seems fiery in his emotions, prone to extremes in his manners.
Background
Ulven Northman was cast out of his tribe at manhood, according to the customs of his people. His people believe that a man cannot live forever unless people sing of his deeds, which means a man's got to have deeds worthy of song. To this end Ulven was given his armor, his weapons, some assorted useful goods, a night with a woman of strong desires and then sent out at first light to seek his song. For the last year he has been heading steadily south, toward a city he has heard of in bars and alehouses across the land. A city of darkness and adventure, where demons mingle with men and women, where angels still sing and where a dark Spire pierces the clouds with ominous presence. He arrived yesterday, wide eyed and fists tightly clenched around his axe. He knows not what the future holds, but he is ready for his story to begin...
