About Ulfric "Whitemane" Lupercal

About Ulfric:
Born and raised within the city of Trollheim, to a cousin of the cities’ current steward, situated on the border between the Lands of the Linnorm Kings and Irrisen, Ulfric’s birth was seen as auspicious. Born with hair the colour of fresh snow, it was suspected he had been tainted by the closeness of the Witches foul magic. Despite this, his easy laughter and joyous nature made it hard for anyone to stay miserable around him or to stay wroth with him when he undoubtedly led his best friend Haakon into trouble.

With dreams of joining the Black Ravens and slaying Winter Wolves and Ice Trolls, Ulfric memorized the bands’ every deed, banner and member extensively in his hero worship. Noticing his keen mind and memory, as well as ability to spin a tale, Elira a Skald with the Black Ravens took the young troublemaker under her wing. Under Elira’s stern tutorship, Ulfric learned of the histories of the Ulfen people, of great warriors and how to stir their tales into rousing speeches, mixing in Skald magic to bring the Ulfen warriors to even great feats of strength and toughness.

Haakon and Ulfric were inseparable even then, with Haakon’s dream of becoming a King, Ulfric had their quest, one that would live on and immortalise him as it had so many other Skalds before. They needed a different kind of tale however, unique and unmatched by any other Ulfen warrior. To that end Ulfric and Haakon joined the Pathfinder society, using Haakon’s ambitions to becoming a member of the Ulfen Guard, elite warriors and bodyguards to the Taldan nobles. Ulfric himself seeks to see a world where the Nobility take account for their actions and how they affect the ‘little people’ as well as being there for his friend Haakon and supporting him in his dream.

For recent service the Taldan empire in bringing their influence to the frozen north of his homelands. The grand Prince has granted Ulfric the title of Marquis

Spell Kenning (Su): At 5th level, a skald is learned in the magic of other spellcasters, and can use his own magic to duplicate those classes’ spells. Once per day, a skald can cast any spell on the bard, cleric, or sorcerer/wizard spell list as if it were one of his skald spells known, expending a skald spell slot of the same spell level to cast the desired spell. Casting a spell with spell kenning always has a minimum casting time of 1 full round, regardless of the casting time of the spell.

For the purpose of determining what level spell slot he expends when using spell kenning, the skald treats the spell level of spells that predict the future (such as augury and divination) as one spell level lower (minimum spell level 1st), and treats the spell level of spells that deal damage as one spell level higher.

Battle Cry [Swift] [CHA/Day]: For 1 Minute, all allies in 30' who can hear you gain a +1 Morale Bonus on attack rolls and a +4 Morale Bonus on fear saving throws.
