About Torpedo
I grew up with the pop culture influences of Speed Racer, Star Wars, Battle of the Planets, Monster Week, Friday Fright Night, and Sci-Fi Saturday. In the early 80's I discovered D&D, comic books, new wave music and the beautiful game, soccer!
These predilections have not waned over the past two decades. In fact my DVD library contains much of the above referenced material, my comic collection is admittedly too large, my new wave library is healthy but not as large as I would have it (damnable out-of-print b-sides and rarities), I have season tickets each year for Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer and I go into a quadrennial frenzy during every World Cup!
As for RPGs, I'm part of a great gaming group that takes turns playing a variety of rpgs (currently D&D, Star Wars, Marvel Super-Heroes Adventure Game SAGA rules, and Trail of Cthulhu). Right now I play Izkanderov the Inscrutable, a human wizard in a World of Greyhawk campaign and I'm laying the groundwork to DM "The Serpent's Skull" Adventure Path set in Paizo's world of Golarion.
I've also rediscovered an age old love of board games. My current favorites include Wings of War, Cosmic Encounter, Fury of Dracula, Citadels, Condottiere, Last Night on Earth, Isla Dorada, Marvel Heroes, Age of Conan, Cold War: CIA vs. KGB, and Space Hulk: Death Angel.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri - Columbia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law. I recently passed the Missouri Bar Exam and am looking for employment as an attorney in the Kansas City metropolitan area. In the meantime I pick up shifts as a doorman at the recordBar in Kansas City.
