Background: Once upon a time, Tom Pit was a reputable actor. He won an academy award for best actor in his role as Edward Hopper in the movie "Nighthawks". This was by far the height of his movie career. After that he was offered big money to star in the action blockbuster "Kill Zone". It was a bit of a flop, and things went down hill from there. His fall to B movie star (with large cult following) was quick. The tabloids were always hard on him, and it didn't help that his personal life was always a mess. He has 5 ex-wives, and children with at three of them. A few years ago, shortly before the Terminus Invasion, he got it in his head that he needed to reinvent himself. He was always impressed with the respect garnered by heroes such as Centurion- a man he had secretly idolized for years. He decided that he wanted to become a superhero. Fortunately, even though he wasn't respected in Hollywood, he had managed to make a good living. He took his wealth to Astro labs, and after pouring millions of dollars into the funding of a superhuman development project, he volunteered himself to be the first human test subject for the project. The project worked, and when all was done Tom had superhuman powers. He then fabricated a new identity for himself as Captain Invincible. He had gained his powers just in time to help defend Freedom City during the Terminus Invasion. This was a true trial by fire and required much more courage then he had ever intended to have need of, for the in truth his desire to be a super hero was never anything more than an elaborate publicity stunt. Though, his role in fighting off the Terminus invasion was only a small one, he still earned some respect. However, the battle took a heavy toll on him, and since the invasion he has been an inconsistent hero at best. He's been learning that being a superhero is much more difficult than he thought it would be.

Ex-Wives (In chronological order): Debie Harry, Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Lucy Lawless, and Fergie.
