Weight: 105 lbs.
Skin: Ash White
Eyes: Blood-red
Hair: Long, straight, white

There's no hiding Tot's inhuman heritage. She has fangs where her canines should be. Her tail is covered in small, red-black scales and flairs out in a leaf shape about the size of a child's hand at the tip. When she's standing, it often coils around her waist and leg. Her ears are pointed, though not as long as an elf's. She's slight of frame, looking closer to a young waif than anything, causing many to underestimate her strength. Her only outfit is a ragged, mishmash of sizes and styles, and her armor is sized for someone several inches taller and at least twenty pounds heavier. She does her best to put her hair up, but she has no skill when it comes to styling it and it inevitably falls down in front of her face.

Outfits and Accessories
Jewelry
- None

Peasant's Outfit
- An unbleached, undyed linen shirt with a patch and a shoddy repair job where the original owner's heart would have been. It's long enough to go past Tot's knees. The sleeves have been cut and hemmed so they don't go past her wrists.
- A pair of brown, rough-spun trousers with a patch on the right knee and hole on the left knee. Despite grabbing these from the smallest person she could find, They come up past her waist and she still has to roll them up.
- A pair of sturdy leather boots dyed black with blackened fittings. This is one of the few surviving items from the uniform she wore while in Chelish service, and is one of the few things she owns that actually fit her.
- A broad leather belt dyed black with blackened fittings. This is also one of the remnants of her Chelish uniform.
- A dark, gray-green cloak with a ragged hem and many patches and repair jobs.

Studded Leather Armor
This suit of armor looks as if it were scavenged from several other sets, primarily because it was. A slip-shod dye job only makes this more apparent.

Personality:

Tot is quiet, almost to the point of being mute. Crowds make her anxious, and the thought of talking to strangers is enough to make her panic. Her timidity and her size makes others dismiss her as a child, though anyone that gets a good look at her can see she isn't one. She tends to go along with what others say, which can get her into trouble. Her main concern, beyond just survival, is keeping out of reach of Thrune's agents. She never talks about herself, and does her best to not attract attention.

In a fight, however, that timidity vanishes and Tot knows exactly what to do. She's ruthless and pragmatic, going after those that look to be leaders or mages first, if she can. She hates giants and loathes goblins with all of the infernal rage of her fiendish ancestor.

Background:

Titania Olivia Thrune may bear the name of the Imperial Royal family, she may even be a cousin to Abrogail II, but she nor anyone else in her branch of the royal family stand in the line of succession. Even the existence of her branch is a closely guarded secret, and not only because they are all tainted by the Nine Hells. When House Thrune needs someone loyal to do their dirty work, they call upon their devil-blooded cousins to dispatch their enemies and squash threats to the stability of their lands.

A little over a quarter of a century ago, Titania was born. While given a regal sounding name, she would hardly hear it after her tenth birthday. That was when she was put into a training squad with other scions of the cadet branch of House Thrune and various tielfing orphans that showed promise and had been adopted into the family. From then on, she was known mostly by her number, Thirteen. She'd spend the next several years learning the skills House Thrune needed it's assassins, spies, and secret enforcers to master. As a secret part of the deal with Nidal that sees them send shadowcasters for the Midnight Guard, Thrune sends it's squads of trainees over to Nidal to help suppress the rebellious and subversive elements of the population.

Titania's squad spent most of it's time culling monsters in the Uskwood, where she learned to move stealthfully and had more than a few run-ins with goblins. Seeing her as the weakest of the squad, in part because she was the smallest and in part because she was often put out on the pointy end, they often targeted her first. In those years, Titania grew to loathe the little green runts after being the butt of their jokes and pranks far too many times. She honed her skills with the greatsword and other heavy blades in order to put the greenskins down that much more quickly.

However, the goblins were far from the only reason Titania was miserable during her adolescence. She was looked down on by her squad mates. With a naturally timid temperament, Titania was an easy target for bullies. Over the years, she grew more and more isolated from those around her. By the time she was fourteen, her instructors mostly ignored her unless she made a mistake. She walled herself off, thinking that she was better being alone than with anyone. Before long, she was only going through the motions and doing what she was told most of the time. Most of the menial chores got pushed off onto her as the others realized how easy she was to boss around.

The only things she found any satisfaction or joy in during this time were cooking and fighting. She found it satisfying to prepare meals she enjoyed, and since most of the tasks around getting supplies and rations fell to her anyway, she could fix what she liked. As for fighting, it was likely the only thing that kept her somewhat sane and out of trouble. It allowed her to vent the frustration and resentment on what she saw as deserving targets for her wrath.

That changed when she was twenty.

Her squad had been tasked with suppressing what had been called a cult of demon worshippers. In fact, they were Sarenrites trying to spread the Dawnflower's influence into Nidal. Being the point and scout, Titania got close enough to hear what they were talking about, and while it did not accord with what she had been taught as far as the proper order of things, she had never heard an explanation as to why other faiths and philosophies were wrong that satisfied her. After all, she knew how she was treated and she did everything that she was told or asked to do. She started to tell her squad that it would be better to capture these people instead of just killing them, but the squad leader, her older brother, stuck her and would have beat her senseless if not for the intervention of their supervisors.

What followed Titania could only ever remember as a blur of screams and blood. The Sarenrites had been cut down, and she was left wondering why. She dared not ask anyone the questions now rolling through her mind. She knew what would happen to her, and she didn't have the courage to face that. Instead, she kept quiet, going months at a time without speaking to anyone as the foundations of the dogma that her tutors, family, and everyone else around her held to crumbled as the doubts she held wore away at them.

By the time her squad was transferred to the Mindspin Mountains on Nidal's northern border to complete their training, Titania didn't know what to believe anymore. If she's supposed to be a part of a greater whole, a part of the supreme order, then why was she isolated from everyone? Why had she become a stranger to those she'd spent close to a decade and a half with? Why was she so alone? Even as she learned to fight ogres and hill giants and learned how vile and vicious they could be, her doubts kept mounting.

Things came to a head when she turned twenty-five. She overheard her brother talking to one of the priests about her. As she listened, she learned that they were planning on sacrificing her to a devil in exchange for some boon on the others. Horrified, she slipped away and gathered up what she thought she needed to make it to Korvosa. She left in the dead of night, the first time in her life she had decided to do something solely for herself and not because she was ordered to. As she crossed Nidal's borders, she tore the insignia that identified her as a Chelish soldier from her uniform and left them in the dirt.

The trip over the Mindspin Mountains was hard, but she miraculously made it to Korvosa intact. Short on coin, she slept where she could find shelter while looking for a way to get further from Nidal and Cheliax. She couldn't go by her name, she knew, so she adopted the alias Tot for her initials. It was while she was looking for passage to anywhere, really, she first ran into the Sczarni.

They were a group of lowlifes that had thought Tot was an easy mark due to her small stature. When she refused to hand over her belongings, they tried to take them by force. They found out that Tot was much stronger and tougher than she looked. Though outnumbered, she managed to kill them before they could do the same to her. She was covered in blood and her uniform was little more than rags by the end of it, though. Without much other choice, she scavenged new clothing for herself and found the first caravan she could leaving Korvosa.

Over the next year, she traveled Varisia working as a guard or a cook. She never found it easy to open up with people, but at least she didn't have to worry about them trying to kill her in her sleep most of the time. As the autumnal equinox approaches, she traveled to Sandpoint, hoping to find work and something she'd never had before, a home.
