I need a small group of cr one and two brawlers for a pit fight scene in my campaign. If anyone knew a good list or would like to roll a few I would be appreciative. Thanks.


How many animal companions can a pack lord druid have? Can't seem to find rules limiting it, but it is phrased to make me think two is the limit.

okay i know it just does not add up. does a small druid lose size ac bounes if they take a medium size animal? does a medium size druid gain the size bounes of a small animal?

I am looking into a time hoping varent of pathfinders. I am wanting some sugrestions on making a arcane mech for the players to fight aganst.

So far I know the mech is only large sized. It has a base ac of 17 ish with strength and perception inhansment a +7 to att both ranged and melee I also have an idea the mecha will have two baynet blades one on each hand and a rifle on one side and a shot gun on the other.

The thought is simple stuff like this is starting to "drop" into the world and the players are trying to find out why + hopfuly stop it.


The rules says that an alchemist can make potions out of any spell in his formula list as long as it can be turned into a potion. So what spells can be turned into a potion and what potions can't.


question Tower shield has a -2 due encumbrance would this still apply to a half giant with powerful build? I would think no if he can wield a sword one size large then him the little wight this shield adds should not effect him that much. right?

I am trying to find the best mix of feats and class to make a skill monkey NPC or PC. I am thinking a rogue or ninja and then use feats to up some of the more important Skills.

The idea is that of a character that has basic or simple knowledge in as many skills as possible. Thanks


I am looking into the draw backs to having a slightly near sighted character. the main reason for the flaw is role-play based. We are Running a "back to basics lvl 1 campaign" and the character hails from a vary proud tradition of archers but is a book worm I thought having him a little near sighted would be a nice story hook for not fallowing the family traditions and being a noble hunter

Is there any other items that can be used as throw splash weapons. I have thus far, Caltrops, Caltrops Vicious, Acid, Alkali Flask, Grenade Fuse, Holy Water, Liquid Ice, Oil (Alchemist's Fire), Oil Keros, Oil lamp, Powder, Powder Flash, Powder Itching, Powder Sneezing, Smoke Pellet, Tanglefoot Bag, Tar Bomb,and Thunderstone.


I am building a one and done lvl 5 dragon ride. I am the normal dm for my group but this week a friend of mine is guest dming so I can play for a change. I asked for suggestion on a fun one time out of the norm character and landed on the Dragon rider.

Here is what I got thus far.

I am looking at a death from above type of character. I am thinking of giving them two efficient quivers and having the dragon and rider stay above most combat shooting throwing and lobbing things at the monsters.

with the two quivers they can have 12 spears 36 javelins and 120 arrows fully loaded.

I have 10500 to spend on equipment and gear.

I am also looking at a lance for the other main weapon.


I host a semi regular group We are having a guest DM so I can play this week. (Saturday) I am finding it hard to form a good idea of what I want to play. He has set the ground rules of anything on the srd is fair game and we roll 4d6 9 times for the stats.

I have 18 16 15 14 13 12 I also know I am looking for a none core race.
I tend to play range fighter or monk variation. I also have played spontaneous casters and a magus so all of these are out I want something new.

I am thinking a rouge or bard. I am also looking at psionic classes. the ninja or cavalier classes sound nice. Plz none or little multi-classes ideas. Okay I think I have give all the info I can think of to help.

so As I see it there is no way to build a character without dumping one or more scores. Am I wrong? To my mind most epic heroes to not always have one or two areas that the normal or average person is better than them. To me that shows a normal person that has lost say dexterity in favor of strength training. not epic, just due able with determined training.

Thus I roll all my characters randomly.


I am working out a gestalt monk / magus mastering the quarterstaff.
Does the flurry of blows count as two weapon fighting Prerequisites on the Two weapon defiance Feat

Personal I think no but I might be wrong.


I want to build a Barbarian/Cavalier with a mount that can go underground with little effort.

I am hoping for a mount with a climb rate.

Giant Scorpion or Wolf seam the best of what I can find.

I know neither of these have a climb but both seam like good ideas for a Ferocious Mount.

Yes it will be a powerful mount I know. I am looking for a hook to keep a new player interested in the game so my wife will have another girl in the group. (and she does not understand the game well enough to really put this mount to use:) I have a few ideas Is there a web page that has this monster?

Personal I have to have a rope hemp or silk and a grappling hook. you can never tell what lvl 1 pit trap you just mist.

my question is does the add damages to my bombs like acid bomb transfer to the bullet I use with the explosive round discovery??

also when I shot an explosive round do I deal the damage from the bullet as well as the bomb or just the bomb?


Okay I have a vary creative player that wants to write his own spells. on principle I said ye sure. then he tried to talk me into a few spells that combine other spells and all he wound give me are the spells he wants to mix.

I have no problems with a player that tries to write a spell in the form of a spell entry. this is not a spell entry I am unsure of how to deal with this. I have told him to make a spell entry for the ideas he has and I will look over them.

I do not have the time of the inclination to write spells for him. We run custom campaigns I tend to write the week before (mainly out of a lack of cash.) Is there a web sight or walk though online I can end him to for custom spells.

The Magus can use his Arcane pool to enhance his bow at this archtype ability seems to let the magus cast spells throw his bow like they wound through a sword.

At 4th level, a myrmidarch can use spellstrike to cast a single-target touch attack ranged spell and deliver it through a ranged weapon attack. Even if the spell can normally affect multiple targets, only a single missile, ray, or effect accompanies the attack. At 11th level, a myrmidarch using a multiple-target spell with this ability may deliver one ray or line of effect with each attack when using a full-attack action, up to the maximum allowed by the spell (in the case of ray effects). Any effects not used in the round the spell is cast are lost.

The Arcane Archer gains magical bonuses to none magical arrows and has the ability to Imbue Arrow.

At 2nd level, an arcane archer gains the ability to place an area spell upon an arrow. When the arrow is fired, the spell's area is centered where the arrow lands, even if the spell could normally be centered only on the caster. This ability allows the archer to use the bow's range rather than the spell's range. A spell cast in this way uses its standard casting time and the arcane archer can fire the arrow as part of the casting. The arrow must be fired during the round that the casting is completed or the spell is wasted. If the arrow misses, the spell is wasted.

To me this is basically the same thing. most spells I would place on an arrow fall with in the magus ability. I am really wondering if the ‎Prestige Classes‎ or not worth looking at any more. Given the limited spells of the Prestige class I wound think that the Magus spells give it a greater advantage as well. Thoughts ????


Okay you can not have a magical ranged weapon with out at lest a +1. If the PC has a arrow of shock +1 than is that stacked with the bows +1 to equal a plus two?

Also, What about a Arcane Archer's Enhance arrows (magic) ability. It states that a non-magical arrow is made magical. does that stack with a plus to the attack from the bow. the arrow is not magical but get the bows bonus to damage right? Given that a PC has to be lvl 6 or better to be an Arcane Archer it wound suck that they lose out on this if they have a magical bow at all.

Okay I am Helping my wife make a Lvl 10 Strix Barbarian Alchemist. so far so good. She has chosen Feral mutagen and Infuse Mutagen as her discoveries. She has Lesser Fiend Totem, Fiend Totem and, scent as rage powers. She wants a feat to use her wings as a natural attack as well. I am sure this can be done but not sure what feat I should have her take and weather the wings wound be primary or secondary attacks? I am also not sure if the Gore attack is primary or secondary. any way thanks for the feed back. FYI the character name is Harpette.


I try to plan out the start of each home brew I do and let the players decide the course of the campaign. I do this by planning two or three plot twists. I am working on one on one campaign set in a swam area and around a Barbarian tribe. the start is a coming of age thing for the one character.

Problem I was looking into the lizard folk as a rival tribe. I was also hoping to set up a druid lizard folk or on the crazy side a Lycanthrope crocodile lizard folk.

Does anyone have the stats to build lizard folk NPC's how they react to the classes. the SRD entry does not have enough info for me. I would love to make the hole Lizard Folk village.


Is there a way to build this so that at lvl 18 this character can swing his weapon and cast a arcane spell and a divine spell.

At lvl 1 the magus can cast and swing as if two weapon fighting.

At lvl 10 the Mystic Theurge can cast a divine spell and Arcane spell of the same casting time at the same time.

Thus It holds that a magus mystic theurge could cast two spells one divine one arcane and still swing his weapon.


I am looking to start a campaign with just me and one other person. I am looking for any story ideas that will help. I am fairly use to gaming and have always Gamed with at lest three players but we just moved and have not been able to get anyone to the new place. Most the character build simply are not balanced enough to play solo that I can see. I am not good at having a npc or two follow the player around either to much to keep trace of.
