Our GM had to step away shortly after kicking off our ROTR PBP so we're shifting gears. I will take over as GM and we need one more player, preferably in the flavor of healy-dealy.

The characters are currently in Sandpoint and the Swallowtail Festival is just getting underway with some games and a feast. There has been minor interaction between characters so you're getting in at the ground floor. Seize this opportunity before time runs out!

Commitment: Posting at least 3x per week (probably more but sometimes people get busy). If you're going to be absent for a few days please communicate that to the group.

Character Creation Guidelines:
Level: 1
Attributes: 20 point buy
HP: Max at 1st, average rounded up on advancement
Traits: 2 Traits, prefer one from ROTR Player's Guide
Money: Max for class
Races: Non-Monstrous Paizo Races
Classes: Cleric preferred
Alignment:
Background Skills: Yes
Books allowed: All Paizo material
Character Backstory: Where are you from, why are you in Sandpoint? What's your personality like?

Current Roster:
1. Male Elf Bard (Archaeologist)
2. Male Dwarf Bloodrager (Primalist)
3. Female Brine May Unchained Rogue (Dreamthief)
4. Male Human Wizard (Enhancer)
5. Female Human Harrow Sorceress
6. You? Yes, YOU!

Looking for a group to run through First Steps using the core campaign rules. Recruitment will be first come, first served and we'll get started shortly after the group is assembled.

Obviously this is standard PFS point buy and we'll use core classes and races.

Greetings fellow gamers,

I've recently found myself working for an amazing company at the southern tip of Lake Union in Seattle, WA. I'm hoping to find an existing group or a handful of interested players for a Pathfinder or 3.5e game (ideally set in Golarion or Forgotten Realms but I'm open to whatever).

Here's the challenging part... I have a crazy commute from Kitsap County so what I'm hoping for is a weekly short burst play session over lunch with a longer session once per month and/or supplemental pbp activity. I've been playing on and off since the early 90's but very sporadically over the last 10 years. I have served as DM on several occasions and could do so again with patient/understanding players.

If you're in the area, let's see if we can make something work.

Cheers,

Brian

Discussion thread

This is the gameplay thread for tying up loose ends between D'Aponte's death and the return to Magnimar.

I'm going to be running some adventures in and around Magnimar. This is going to be a very sandbox campaign and will likely require a fair bit of role play. I'll try to plant some seeds and it's up to the players of the campaign to provide ample fertilizer.

Two characters have already been chosen and will hopefully be involved in the vetting process for additional players. They are a gnome bard and an aasimar paladin.

Here is what I'm thinking as far as character creation for the start of play. If you have a really interesting idea that you can flesh out for me I might consider it (if it's not too far out there) but use the following general guidelines:

Character Creation
1. Core races (Allowed: Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, Human)
2. Core and Base classes minus gunslinger (Allowed: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard, Alchemist, Cavalier, Inquisitor, Magus, Oracle, Summoner, Witch)
3. 20pt buy
4. Non-evil alignment
5. Two traits
6. Base starting money
7. Magnimar will be the starting location so initial back-story should have the characters being born in or finding their way there.
8. I like stories about normal well-meaning folks who get thrust into the business of being heroes or are bored with their routine and seek adventure. If your backstory is something like 'Dingus is a shadowy character born in a dark place full of dark deeds. He had to kill or be killed as evidenced by his black clothes, numerous daggers, nasty scars and cold scowl.' I'll assume your character is a sociopath and NPCs might think so too. If that's the case, be prepared to be treated accordingly.

Other notes:
1. Have fun. I fully expect to make some mistakes here and there, I'm not a rules cyclopedia.
2. I'm going to try to post once per weekday, I'm in the US Pacific timezone and will try to post once per day by noon.
3. My Pathfinder resources are limited so try to stick to what is listed in the Paizo PRD (or the d20pfsrd as a secondary resource).

If there are any questions (or if I've left anything out) let me know.

Hey folks. I live in Poulsbo, WA and I'm itchin' to find a gaming group.

With my current schedule (work, family and other hobbies) I can probably only meet once per month or maybe every two weeks for in-person play. I prefer to be a player but could also act as DM/GM if no one else wants to take the reins.

If you're in Poulsbo, Silverdale, Kingston, Bremerton or somewhere in the North Kitsap area send me a high five here.

Cheers!

It's a brisk, overcast autumn morning with occasional, very brief, appearances of sunlight breaking through the thick cloud cover. The usual hustle and bustle of daily chores spring to life around you as you make your way to the Bazaar of Sails.

For your initial post in the gameplay thread, give a look at the two reference links below (if needed) and tell us why your character is on their way to the Bazaar of Sails.

Earlier this year my mom cleaned out her basement and sent me several boxes full of old gaming resources that I collected over many years of play. The boxes contained many old Dungeon Magazines, Dragon Magazines and Forgotten Realms material that I would like to make use of again. While it has been at least 100 years since I filled the role of DM (remember THAc0?) so I'd like to get back into it by running some short adventures from Dungeon Magazine and other resources converted to Pathfinder rules.

This might give you a chance to try out a character build without feeling like you have to commit to an entire adventure path.
