the best way to start one is: take one Good Aligned and think about the goodies here are "the enemies" and the evils are "the heroes/PCs"...
you may go in "evil's role" and ask yourself: -Why they do what they do? Maybe they care for their families? -Look at goodies not like the beautiful and merciful angels, but as they cover their cruelty with "Is the God-Desire", "I'm Law-Face" sorry if is a confused writing... what i want to say is: change your POV For making an example: Darth Fener.. he was Evil, but why? When he was a child he had some problems...if you look his POV, he's not so much wrong in doing what he do..
:D thanks to all!! very awesome stuff!
also gnome who thinks he's a goblin diguised as a gnome XD! Loved max the argyler ahaha xD! for gnome prankster, his swap ability...is that disponible also for a thief? PS: the Rudolph idea, make me remember my pirate gnome when all party is gone to Gnome-Land, and i was, from the start of campaign, talking about an ancient hero called "Gnorro (-Zorro-)" and when we came to his memorial , i was singing "gnorro!gnorro! XD
help? Don't use spells that does damages... you're not the blaster!
PS: i'm running the same campaign, with almost the same type of wizard (almost XD!) and i'm not an elven.. http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2qwad?Devil-Summoner-Need-Advice
my sense of humour: i'm actually playing a gnome (gunslinger) who came from a noble family, but for "fool tradition" he fell on a pirate ship and became a pirate... his ship lasts one day, and the sea devour her..
now actually he's a PC who bite and taste things that don't know... always drinking rhum with a cup of tea (waste on the floor the tea and then drink the rhum... a tradition he says)... his reaction is usually "falling from clouds" he actually think that our Asimaar Cleric of Sarenrae is a Vampire Necromancer that wanna resurrect all party as undead minions..
looking for creating a new PC... and wanna make it roleplay based.. for now i've got only 2 ideas, and one came from another post in this forum: - A gnome mounted, with a big animal like rabbit, squirrel etc. - A goblin "sage" (http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090901172202/gremlins/images/3/36/The _Brain_Gremlin.PNG) any other ideas are welcome :)!
can i ask more doug? i'm planning the background of PC, and lacking of ideas.. you suggested me a book that i cant read now (must wait to buy it and let it come to my home xD!) ... have you more information about this book (like why he was anger with that city...).. or maybe other suggestions/ideas for a Background?
ahaha love this post u.u .. i give some ideas, not really sure you can do that, but flavourfull ideas: - take them on a ship, let them fighting pirates/"marines", first with cannons, then in melee - take them in a place where they are standing reversed(ehm sorry for my english.. i mean with the head down... like bats) - take them fighting in ruins, where the ruins are over a big monster (like super extra size something [turtle?]) moving slowly - take them in a place full of illusions - take them fighting in a big castle, facing the sea, where they and their enemies have to watch out of the third part (enemies of them and their enemies) attacking "em with ships and magic
my DM said ok for the class... also said: - okk for the object that can hide my allignment, changing it in something else (i've to justify why i have that object in Background) - what's the reason why i keep using the party? (here i've some problem to find the reason) - we'll let the party free me from a "prison", so i've a good reason to seem friendly and kind to the party (false friend, b-astard behind the mask)--> DM suggest me i've to be NM for play the "false friend, b-itch in sheep clothing") - need some help to define what's the goal of the PC... what he wants
i really wants to play a Diabolist, and this campaign is the only where i can play it. there's another PC who emanate evil, because he took a strange object (like a philactery or something like that), but the paladin seems to look to him with suspect but never saying nothing on him (it's not the classic paladin i think...) the object to block "emanate evil" i think i can get it (or create a thing like an artifact) talking with DM (pretty sure he'll agree) and maybe give one to my Imp too. btw i think paladin can stay with an evil in party, if they have strong reason... now gotta find this reason: -maybe i'm in the same division (there are somes.. Draco Division, another one whe don't know and Leo Division that's the paladin division)? -maybe i'm a member of his family? Cousin, brother, sister's boyfriend? -maybe i can bluff saying that my powers are a curse or a disease? -maybe who present me to the party is a good NPC that the party trust? don't know, need help to find a way to make that possible...(if is it) for the stats i'm perfectly right with yours :) i will play an uncommon wizard XD! str i think we can dump that... we have a strong barbarian that can carry on bags, or maybe i can talk with my DM to let me have a servant(who can't help me doing nothing but that) that carry on for me.
i can't cause infernal binder say: Divination, Trasmutation or Illusion..
"If the creature does not break free of the trap, you can keep it bound for as long as you dare. You can attempt to compel the creature to perform a service by describing the service and perhaps offering some sort of reward" It says PERHAPS...so :) not a big problem.. i can also convince 'em roleplaying.. my DM give much importance to "how you role that" So you suggest improved initiative (i've DEx+Scorpion[4]) or Craft WI... maybe spell perfection?
thank you so much... first i wanna say: the only thing (also for flavour!) that i want to do at the very best is binding outsiders (and i think i've not have to pay them.. but this i can fit, is not a problem with my DM). for leadership, am i wrong, or i must wait 7TH? here the spells i want to use (4th level my PC): 1TH
2TH
don't even know if some has SR..
i've not really understood stats array ( :( sorry! ) first feats i was thinking are: Spell focus (conjuration), Greater spell focus (conjuration) (i will use planar binding for most of the time.. is it wrong to take those?), Spell Penetration (Devils till "lesser planar binding" have SR, if i'm not wrong...and don't really wanna fail against them), Greater Spell Penetration, True Name.. The Scroll of lesser planar binding how much will cost? (really no idea!) Infernal Binder fit perfectly! i'm taking it :) Spell Specialization is good.. it increase caster level, but it increase also difficulty to overcome SR (if i'm not wrong)
Now i'm planning to find a good role i want to act, and in the same time start to build my "Devilsmancer": i'm starting at lv.4
What about the stats? Usually are: INT>DEX>COS>WIS>CHA>STR
What about first feats?
