"Agreed," Allura says, "I'll take you to her." Allura leads Devlyn to find Sirone.

I'm off for the night. It's time for me to cook dinner. I'm making my famous pizza pasta.

"Belsameth's Blessing?" Allura says with a frown. "That name seems tied to darkness somehow."

Could we have another Scarred Lands afficianado in our midsts?

"Or perhaps they have a more sinister plan in mind," Allura says.

Which one of us is a Cylon?

"What's wrong Alaina," Allura says, as she rushes to the goddess' side. In her haste to help Alaina, she forgets that she has no clothes on.

Woops. I don't think you can wear that.

Devlyn picks up the bikini, a concerned look on his face.

"I appreciate the thought, LJ, but I think I'll look more silly in this thing than my own skin."

With s shrug and a chuckle he dives in after Allura. He thought he recognized a particular scent as he hit the water...

Surfacing, Allura smiles. "I don't think you look silly in your skin at all," she says. "I think you look quite...dashing."

You really are a bastich. ;-p

Allura smiles. "You don't need a suit here," she whispers to him, before diving into the water.

"I've never had a chance to see such a thing. Would you two be willing to humor the silly request of a humble traveller...?"

"Allow me," Allura says. Allura reaches into her pouch and pulls out two blue spheres. "Two potions of water breathing."

"Do you want to dance," Allura asks Devlyn as the music starts.

Listens to the music for a second, then laughs.

"I'd love to. Besides, it sounds like the gang has started another party anyway...shall we join them, or just stay here?"

"let's join the rest," she says. "We wouldn't want them to get the wrong idea." wink wink

"Do you want to dance," Allura asks Devlyn as the music starts.

"You sell yourself too short Devlyn," Allura says. "You are quite a... vibrant individual. You're desire for justice and spirit for adventure makes you a powerful force for good."

"Yeah, that's sort of what the pixies sing all the time," he says as he laughs and shakes his head, apparently at some inside joke.

"Well, when I said that I was here to help, I meant it. If the threat is that dire, and you think I'm your man, you've got me."

As he looks up at the falling paperwork, slightly puzzled, he asks a bit more quietly:
"So I guess the 'interviewing' was why you were spending so much time around me, huh?"

"Well it started out that way," Allura says, turning her head shyly. "After awhile, it turned into something more."

"No, I knew you would," Allura says with a smile. "Should we get down to buisness?"

"Sure - Though I am curious about this place. It reminds me of some of the unspoiled forest glades near my home when I was a kid..." Looks around.

"But I suppose that's not quite as important, right? Sorry - I'm rambling." He sits down on a rock "I'm all ears."

"It's like this," Allura explains. "My mistress, the overseer of this realm, has been secretly working against the forces of Candle Lighter and the Goddess of Dark Knowledge. We have been watching you for a while with an eye toward making you one of her chosen. However, we had to make sure you were trustworthy because of your contact with the Yochol."

"No, I knew you would," Allura says with a smile. "Should we get down to buisness?"

Allura jumps out of the hamock. Devlyn, you made it.

Allura walks over to a hamock between to trees and crawls into it. I hope Devlyn arrives soon. I could easily fall asleep here.

And from the thrill of snow falling on Sunday, to the agony of scraping ice in the freezing pre-dawn air of Monday, I am returned unto this thread. Happy Monday folks! :P

Devlyn holds onto Allura's hand for a moment as she gives him the pearl, then smiles warmly.

"Alright - I'll meet you there shortly. And thank you for trusting me."

Assuming that Allura isn't going with him right now, Devlyn will head up to his room quickly, get cleaned up, then activates the pearl. I'll follow your lead on that, Dave - let me know what works best.

Snow is out of the forecast for me for the next couple of days. Of course rain is moving in by Friday, and at this time of year rain in Utah can quickly turn to snow. Allure, looks around and then steps out the door of the club, activating her pearl as she does.

Allure is heading to the Oasis now.

Allura reaches into her belt pouch and hands Devlyn a pearl. This will take you to the Oasis of Still Waters. We can speak openly there.

"I know lady," Allura says. "But something about him seems, different."

Well, I'm off to church. It'll most likely be tomorrow before I'm back since the race is on after that and I don't want to fight my kids for the computer.

El-Lina's eyes flash for a brief second, then she chuckles softly.

So Dalesman. It's just you and me.

Ack! Sorry I left you hanging, guys. My sweety is a gamer too, but is not at all fond of computers. I have precious little time to be online during the weekends, as a result. ;)

I'll try to catch up on some of the dialogue, then see if I can check back this afternoon.

Well I guess I didn't miss much then. I had to drive eight hours round trip for a class that ended up only running an hour and a half. Allura sees Devlyn dancing with another woman, and just manages to fight back the rising tide of jealousy she feels.

Really, this is the first true strike of the Mask. Just roll with it, it'll be over soon.

That's not really what a girl wants to hear.

Allura takes a seat in the chair. I am forbidden from saying any more. The dark forces may be watching us, and I cannot risk it.

I wish I could tell you everything now, but I am forbidden to. Suffice it to say that the knowledge Kolob Cleaver seeks will not be found studying the ethereal.

Allura's face pales noticably That will do him no good.

Allura wraps herself in a towel and walks over to KC. Calm yourself litch. The boy meant no harm. Striking at your allies only weakens us all.

"So did you have a good nap," Alura asks Devlyn.

"I am looking forward to the rest of the day as well."

Gotta run, I'm teaching the First World War now.

Allura smiles and steps into the changing hut. When she comes out she is wearing a much more demure swimsuit then her title might suggest. "So, how do you feel today?"

Allura walks around the corner and sees Devlyn in the hot tub. "Oh, that looks like fun," she says. "Mind if I join you?"

"Silly kobold," Allura says, stepping out of the flames. "You have no power over me. Now run, make your little plans and schemes. When the time of reckoning comes, I will remember this and then you will see what power actually is. For now I will spare your pitiful life so that you will understand that I can be merciful toward those who I choose to be. Now begone from my sight. You will not speak of this with anyone." Casts Permanate Geas on KC

The lich chuckles nervously.

"My will save is higher than a king's amount of gold. Idiot."
He hits her with a mind fog.

Watching the kobold spar with himself, Allura chuckles. "The magic of the winds is masterful indeed. Illusion can be a powerful thing."

With the kobold gone Allura walks the grounds outside the club, seemingly talking to herself. My lady, is this deception really nessecery? Couldn't we just tell Devlyn what is at stake and ask him for his aid?

ARGH!!!! Just pulled my workstation out of a BSOD

Being left-handed myself, it was intended as a compliment, yes! :)
It comes with the job description of a DM as having to be able to see both points of view to some degree, in my humble opinion at least. My sweety helps keep me honest about that 'in game'.

Here's hoping they do - that's a rather big snafoo.

Well it turns out that there are two different engine packages for my car, and they just asked what type of engine I had, not which package. I felt like beating either my head, or the head of the clerk, on the desk as they were telling me this. Anyway, I'm going to go grab some Subway and drown my sorrows in some mindless sitcoms on tv. See everyone tomorrow.

Understood - dinner's coming up for me, so I'm in the same boat too

"Friends and loved ones long gone still stay with you, even if only in your memory. That means you carry sadness with you all the time, but it also means that you carry the happiness of the good times too. Can't have one without the other, as my mother always says."

"However, there's nothing wrong with having good food, good company and good times to stave off bad memories, right?"

A young girl walks up to Allura and Devlyn. She is a tiefling, several small horns sticking out of her blonde hair. She has dark skin and longish ears, hinting at a possible drow ancestry as well. She is dressed in the typical waitstaff dress at Club Calistria, black shorts and a yellow-black halter. Her one interesting item is a thick bejeweled ring of gold about her neck. A skinny tail wiggles behind her, tipped with a small arrowhead point. She smiles at the two.

Hi! I'm Magdalena your server. Can I get you two something to drink?

Smiles

"Good evening to you too Magdalena! I would like to get a Dark & Stormy, and if you could snag me some dinner to go with that I would be most grateful."

Looks over at Allura
"Care to try one with me?"

"That sounds delightful," Allura says.

I have set my sights on driving a wedge between Lynora and her paramour. I am also attempting to seduce the one called The Dalesman to our cause. Do you have any guidance on how I should proceed?

A sultry figure rises from a divan covered in the fur of some white beast.

Why must we always talk of death and blood and destruction. The surest way to bring the world into darkness is to take the hopes and dreams and desires of it's people and twist them to a darker aim.

Walks over and strokes the bookkeeper under the chin with her finger

Isn't that right my dear.
