After reading your concerns, I've come to a decision.

Thank you for saying that I'm doing a good job GMing, but my life has caught up to me again and as much as I want to continue on the forums, I can't.

If you wish to continue on Roll20, perhaps, where we can be actively engaged every time we arrive, we could do that instead.

Ladies and gentlemen, it has been an honor to play with you. I'll leave the campaign open for a little longer for your responses.

Marcus, take all the time you need.

And please give us details! Congratulations!

So funny story.

I just recently got a new computer, and all my important documents, including stuff for this campaign, are on it.

I plan to move the stuff eventually, but we'll see what happens.

The trip over the river isn't very eventful, but travelling through the town does let you see just what the goblins were trying to do. There are a few small groups of people morning over the loss of loved ones or property, in all nothing seems to serious.

Upon your return to the church with Shadrick, you are lead to a man in very fine blue robes. "Greetings. My name is Aldern Foxglove. You saved my life during that horrid raid." He stands from his seat in one of the pews and bows. "I thank you." He turns his attention to Marcus. "That technique you performed that scorched the goblins, but not the ground. It was quite a treat to see. Where did you learn such magics?"

Shadrick, being the only one to stay behind in the aid of the church, doesn't get to meet Ellizza's expedition team.

Thankfully, the Gnomes were left alone during the attack, and the trip to and from the camp is fairly uneventful.

Upon their return, Shadrick tells the gathered adventurers that Father Zantus has someone they want to meet, as well as someone that wants to meet them, not necessarily in that order.

Ameiko smiles up at Shadrick from her seat in one of the pews in the church. "I'll be fine. Just a scratch from one of those beasts that tried to get the jump on me from the roof." Sure enough, the scar that was on her left arm fades to nothing as Father Zantus' healing clears it up.

Group vote who you want to speak to first.

Ellizza's familiar reports back after a few minutes that it appears as though the goblins are either in retreat or dead.

Tobar and Marcus manage to get Shadrick over to the temple fairly easily. The city's streets are littered with debris and signs of goblin activity, but surprisingly low Sandpoint casualties.

Father Zantus is in the middle of the temple with several other injured people around. "In the name of Desna! Be healed!" A wave of energy washes over the gathered congregation, a feeling of bliss and warmth spreading through everyone and healing almost all wounds.

Everyone go ahead and take Channel Energy: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 points of healing. That should get Shadrick back onto his feet. Maximum healing, wow!

Among the wounded are two people you recognize. One is Ameiko, and the other is the man with the blue robes from earlier who's hound was slain by the commando.

If anyone wants to give chase to the dog, they can. Otherwise, I think that's combat.

There are some minor events following, but if you guys want to start looting, you can.

I apologize for not being the most attentive GM, and I'll make sure to do better about it.

I seriously need to pay more attention. I was waiting for something else.

The Commando sees the longshank with the bangstick aiming at his dog! Not on his watch!

Mounted Combat: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 The bullet wizzes by the ugly mutt! Missed!

And then the magic longshank tries to burn them! Fire only good if summoned by Zongrel!!

Commando Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Goblin Dog Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

The commando feels the burn of arcane fire just a ball of acid hits his face! The pain is too much and the goblin sinks onto his saddle.

Falling off % chance: 1d100 ⇒ 76 The commando stays on the dog, but the dog knows better than to stick around! It turns heel, whimper as it runs from the fight, its rider bouncing in the saddle along the way! Withdraw action.

And with that we can call it a Combat, unless anyone wants to give chase or use any ranged attacks.

Marcus Danebridge wrote:
Shadrick you need a fort save too

I already rolled for him in my post. Since it was an immediate effect, I rolled it for him to keep things going.

Also, something I'll go ahead and let everyone know, I go a bit easy on you when it comes to stabilizing and death.

If you fall unconscious, the round you fall and the next round after, you don't need to make a check unless you are going to be immediately damaged, like from a continuous spell effect. Afterwards, you attempt to stabilize as normal. Once you succeed, you're good for the rest of your unconscious life, or until you are brought back to the land of the living.

Computer issues continue to plague me. Does anyone know Cure Bluescreen?

Runner Will Save vs DC 14: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15 This goblin remembers when the clan shaman tried to do the same thing on him once. He shakes off the feeling of standing up too fast, then keeps on running!! He's out of combat.

The Commando see's he's flanked, just as the no-longer-giant-longshank gives him a swing!

Mounted Combat: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

His skills riding his dog don't help him avoid a deep cut down his back.

Spinning his dog around, he has it sidestep off to take on the longshake that injured him. Shadrick.

To Hit Dogslicer vs Shadrick AC 14: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 His swing goes wide, but Shadrick's luxurious hair is now an inch shorter on the left side.

The goblin dog snaps at Shadrick as well. To Hit vs Shadrick AC 14: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Shadrick DC 12 Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

The goblin dog's teeth sink deep into Shadrick's leg! The commando gives a few encouraging words in Goblin to Shadrick laced with malice.

Goblin:
[b]"Don't worry, Longshank! Crushtooth make sure you not stink up town with dead body!"

And we are up again!

Tobar's pistol echos in the square as the goblin knows how it feels to have a whole through his stomach, but he soldiers on!

Goblin Reflexes 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Goblin Reflexes 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

The other two goblins, however, quickly find themselves in the embrace of Zongral's flames....No, wait, that's arcane fire. Much worse.

The Commando yells something in Goblin, but the injured goblin is too worried about his own being to care! It runs as fast as it's little legs can take it! Shadrick, you get an AoO on it as it runs.

The Commando sees he's going to have to deal with this himself. Dropping his bow, he charges into battle with his horsechopper, going for the biggest threat. Wait, what's happening to the giant guy? Is he shrinking?

Shadrick, you are back to normal size after your Enlarge Person wears off.

Ah well, back to the gray skinned thing.

Commando Attack vs Narekk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 The commando's blade misses Narekk's neck, thankfully. His dog, on the other hand, goes for the ankles!

Goblin Dog Bite vs Narekk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 Nothing but air, thankfully.

Knowledge: Nature to tell yourself something about Goblin Dogs.

My apologies, players.

My computer issues still persist, but I can at least run my campaign now!

Swing and a slash! Shadrick's blade cuts true against the small goblin. It bleeds, but still lives!

The goblins quickly surround the giant (to them) longshakes, swinging with their crude but deadly dogslicers!

At the same time, the Commando astride the goblindog pulls out a bow and fires at the ugly half-longshake. (Narekk)

Goblin 1: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10
Goblin 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Goblin 3: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10

Goblin Commando: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Goblin 2 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Shadrick, take 5 damage
Goblin Commando Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Narekk! Take 1 damage

I'm sorry to keep doing this, but I'm having massive computer issues. I'll try to keep up as best I can, but I make no promises!

Copy-Pasted to all my campaigns.

Initiative:
Tobar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Ellizza: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Marcus: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Shadrick: 22
Narekk: 12
Goblins: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

New Init:
Shadrick - 22
Goblins - 21
Marcus - 19
Ellizza - 17
Narekk - 12
Tobar - 11

The Goblins are ready for you, but the sudden singing of the large longshank is kinda weird...

Shadrick, you can still act out, but the magic is starting to fade on your size increase.

If it isn't obvious, this is my first time using Google Docs for map making. Try the link again, I should have turned on sharing.

And we have a map! Place yourselves (if you can) and we're ready to go!

If you have a picture you'd prefer, send me a link or something and I'll change your token.

Moving right along.

Another cry of terror rings out over the plaza. Nearly everyone from the celebration has fled, goblins still out and about, but apparently there's one person left.

As you turn the corner, the sound of a loyal hound defending his master draws your attention as a goblin atop a horrifying looking goblindog runs the poor canine through. A man in fine robes cowers in the corner behind a rain barrel. "If anyone is out there, help me!!"

When the commando's horsechopper draws the hunting hound's blood, a trio of goblins that were hiding around the corner jump out and let off a cheer! Their enemy the dog is dead!

One of them spots you as you arrive, shouting in goblin! The Commander turns his dog around, reaffirming himself and his troops in goblin.

Map is up! Deploy yourselves behind the blue line and start combat!

And yes, Narekk, you can cast a spell just before combat starts.

Narekk's blade claims another victim, the cry of the warchanter fading into the dying screams of the town as the goblins begin to realize their assault may have been in vain.

But the chaos is not subdued. There seems to be more destruction elsewhere. Somewhere over there, maybe. Insert directional compass here.

So the Telekinetic Punch would have hit, but not enough to make a difference. Narekk is a powerhouse!

Take a moment and gather yourselves. The final fight is waiting!

Ellizza, is your Telekinetic Fist against their Touch or their AC?

The sly little screamer is able to avoid the stupid tall longhank's axes easily! And the smallish crazy-hair can't hit him from over there! Ha!

Whoa...whoa...ok, pale longshank is kinda scary...Shaken for 2 rounds.

The warchanter charges at the scary thing, knowing it can overcome this fear!!

Warchanter To Hit+Charge-Shaken vs Narekk AC 17: 1d20 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 - 2 = 4 This isn't going to end well...

And we're back in the game! Sorry about the wait, but if you're all willing, we can continue the fight!

So news on the homefront!

I got better! Just in time for the holidays!

I think, though, since we all want to spend a few days away with family and friends, I will suspend the game until the start of the new year.

Yes, I know we didn't actually get that far into the game, but at least we started!

Your GM has gone and gotten himself sick.

Sorry if I haven't been keeping up with the same pace that everyone expects from a proper GM. As soon as my stomach stops doing cartwheels, I'll do a resolve post.

Also, I think I'm going to simply remove Devis as a character. You guys are more than able to keep yourselves alive, so I think you'll be fine with just potions and such.

Narekk is able to swing his sword around even while he's laughing at the horrible joke. After he manages to cleave the uninjured goblin in half, however, he has a new reason to laugh. The spell lasted only one round.

Injured Goblin Will Save vs DC 14: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 You know that feeling when you stand up too quickly after sitting down for a while and your head goes kinda fuzzy? This goblin suddenly feels this...but not for long before the sound of thunder echos from the small metal killing machine in Tobar's hand. The goblin drops to the floor with a hole in its chest.

Shadrick shows the Warchanter just why Longshanks are dangerous as he brings down the axe. The Warchanter is just too quick, though, and manages to dodge both axe swings.

The goblin bard keeps singing horridly as it takes a step back (5-foot step) and swings a whip around in one hand, trying to trip the massive skald.

Whip Trip vs Shadrick CMD 15: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15 What skill! What finesse! What a sound Shadrick makes as he hits the ground!! Shadrick, did you change your CMD after your Enlarge Person? The number I have is from your stat bar as I'm typing this.

I apologize for not having this up so quickly. RL decided that I needed a swift kick in the pants and I've had to deal with the backlash.

Good luck with your move Ellizza!

Narekk's swing does cause one of the four goblins to drop, the other three realizing that their fun of burning and destroying has to wait.

Then a giant appears!! Good gods this is hell for the little green guys! The giant is singing a terrible song against their own warchanter and swinging two axes about like a madman! One of them clips a second goblin. He's not dead, but he would be soon! Thankfully the goblins are swift enough to avoid the second swing!

The uninjured goblin tries to attack the giant. He'll make for a better story than some tall swordswinger.

Attack vs Shadrick AC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Did you lower your AC for your Rage Song? If so, this hits your AC 16, yes?

The injured goblin quickly does an about face and runs for it!! [/ooc]Withdraw.[/ooc]

Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

The warchanter, on the other hand, realizes the threat of the swordswinger. It chants in a fanciful and terrifying language, pointing it's doglslicer at Narekk. It shouts out that Narekk has a funny face! Comedy!!

Narekk, give me a DC 12 Will Save. You get a +4 bonus to this save. Should you fail, you fall prone from laughing so hard.

And now the accent makes sense, Marcus. If you mean Simon Pegg, I can see it. Apparently he's in Star Wars: Force Awakens.

Narekk, if you shout out that you haven't had nothing but moldy bread for three stinking days, you're getting hit with a lighting bolt on a stormy day.

Now we just need Shadrik's voice actor, then we have a full cast! BTW, the Narrator in your head is voiced by the myth and legend Tony Jay.

People start screaming as more fires start around town. Perhaps you should hurry.

Ok, time's up! You've got goblins to kill!

And with the introduction of Devis, I think now would be a good time to ask a question for everyone!

If your character had a voice actor, who would it be?

Devis, for example, would sound like Matt Damon from the Bourne movies.

Any ideas for yourselves? Time and genre mean nothing, so pick from anyone with an amazing voice!

Goblin Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Food Goblin Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Reflex to avoid fire damage not needed.

The goblin that attacked Ellizza gets confussed and befuddled by pretty colors...preeeettyyyy coooollooo--thud. And down it goes. Just before being roasted alive by Marcus' Burning Hands. The food that was in the goblin's pockets is now overcooked.

The crowds have indeed run away by now, leaving the square mostly in shambles as food and carts were overthrown by both civilians and goblins alike for one reason or another.

The setting sun is offset by smoke rising to the southeast as screams from men, women, and children fill the streets. The city is in panic!

A sharp retort, like the crack of distant thunder, slices through the excited crowd as the sun's setting rays paint the western sky. A stray dog that has crawled under a nearby wagon to sleep starts awake, and the buzz of two dozen conversations quickly hushes as all heads turn toward the central podium, where a beaming Father Zantus has taken the stage.

He clears his throat, takes a breath to speak, and suddenly a woman's scream slices through the air. A few moments later another scream rises, then another.

Beyond them, a sudden surge of strange new voices rises--high-pitched, tittering shrieks that sound not quite human. the crowd parts and something low to the ground races by, giggling with disturbing glee as the stray dog gives a pained yelp and collapses with a gurgle, its throat cut open from ear to ear.

As blood poos around its head, the raucous sound of a strange song begins, changed from shrill, scratchy voices in both Common and a strange tongue. For those who speak Goblin, you hear the same song being sung.

GOBLINS CHEW AND GOBLINS BITE
GOBLINS CUT AND GOBLINS FIGHT
STAB THE DOG AND CUT THE HORSE
GOBLINS EAT AND TAKE BY FORCE!

GOBLINS RACE AND GOBLINS JUMP
GOBLINS SLASH AND GOBLINS BUMP
BURN THE SKIN AND MASH THE HEAD
GOBLINS HER AND YOU BE DEAD!

CHASE THE BABY, CATCH THE PUP
BONK THE HEAD TO SHUT IT UP
BONES BE CRACKED FLESH BE STEWED
WE BE GOBLINS! YOU BE FOOD!!!

The gathered crowd cry out in fear as goblins start to swarm in from all directions. The town is under attack!

Perception DC 12:
The shape that raced by is the same that killed the dog, now hiding at the wagon's edge, is a sickly green goblin. It licks the blood off it's dogslicer as it looks out at the crowd, likely looking for a new target.

And with that, we roll initiative!

Initiative Rolls:

Tobar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Narekk: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Ellizza: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Shadrick: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Marcus: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
Goblins: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Init Order:
Goblins
Narekk
Shadrick
Tobar
Marcus
Ellizza

Since I've not seen anything from Marcus in a while, I'll PM him and let him know what's going on. In the meantime!!

The goblins abound and run about, doing their best to scare the people of Sandpoint! Although one of them does take the time to steal some of the pork off the roast that Narekk enjoyed so much earlier.

And then one of them spots Ellizza, being just the right size and having such freaky hair! It'll look even better on a pike! It runs up and stabs at her with the crude dogslicer its carrying.

Torch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Ellizza's attacker's buddy sees the giant of a creature that she's travelling with, and decides his skin would look amazing as a coat. Maybe that goblinette he's been looking at the past few hours will finally notice him! But first he has to get higher than the big guy. He takes a few steps back, then runs full force at Narekk, jumping at the last second!!

Goblin Running Jump Tackle!: 1d20 ⇒ 8

He lands on his face right in front of Narekk...this isn't what he planned...

Narekk and Ellizza have a goblin before them, the next one is 20ft away at a table.

And we're ready to go! Post when you can, actions will be resolved in the order of initiative, so don't be afraid to post multiple turns in a row to let everyone know what you're doing!

There's a moment of silence when the bard finishes his song.

And then...

The bar explodes in laughter and cheer! A few coins are tossed onto the table and the guy Narekk punched stays on the ground, unconscious. That must have hurt... Shadrick gains 20 silver for the performance. Narekk is able to have bragging rights for the rest of the festival, or until he's unseated from his throne.

Ameiko laughs alongside the crowd. "That was the best show I've seen all night! You've earned the drinks, big guy!" She brings another round of mead to Shadrick and Narekk, making sure Narekk gets the big mug she kept in the back.

"Hey, sunset is in a few hours. You'll want to head back outside for the Consecration of the Cathedral. That's where this whole thing is leading up to."

Ellizza, can you give me a Sleight of Hand or Stealth check, whichever is higher, for your spellcasting? DC is the DC for your spell of that level.

The owner's beer is actually able to knock him unconscious, since he's being punched by another patron. There's a cheer from a couple of the patrons as the big guy drops to the floor. "Nice throw!" comes a shout from the crowd.

Speaking of your intimidate, how did you get it so high? I'm doing some math, but I'm not getting the same number you have. Can you show me how you got what you have?

Here's what I found:

  • Blood Minded: +1
  • Hungerseed Inquisitor: +1
  • Stern Gaze: +1
  • Skilled: +2
  • Intimidating Prowess: +4
  • Class Skill: +3
  • Skill Rank: +1
  • Charisma: -1
  • Subtotal: +12
  • Dominator: +2
  • Studied Target: +1
  • Grand Total: +15

Ameiko thinks for a moment, but shrugs. "Not sure. Place I know of for magic is the Feathered Serpent, something of a magic shop just across town, but most of the stuff there isn't for sale."

And just as she's finished with her thought, the drunk from before is pushed onto the table by one of his friends. He clambers back to his feet before he throws a haymaker at his now former friend. BAR BRAWL!!

"Hey! Knock it off!" Ameiko tries to get their attention, but to no avail.

The man rolls his shoulder after Narekk touches him. After Narekk sits back down, the man utters something under his breath.

Perception DC 15:
"Filthy half breeds."

Ameiko rolls her eyes at the group of Men as they walk away She laughs again, turning her attention back to Narekk. "Tell you what, I'll just keep a barrel free for you. Anytime you want."

I do believe Narekk was asking everyone a question.

The next part of the adventure doesn't take place yet, so I'm not going to start it just yet.

BTW, Narekk, are you rolling your intimidate and then changing your spoken lines to match your roll? Yes, you rolled a nat 1 on that last attempt, but that's no reason to think you'll fail at it!

So, about the mead thing...

I couldn't find a source for how much a barrel of mead cost anywhere in the Pathfinder rules, so I just tossed a number down ^^;; I was going to put down 10 gold too!

Retcon, she said 10 gold instead of 100.

Ameiko seems a little shocked at Narekk's offer for a whole keg of mead! "Uhh...well, a keg is going to be 100 gold, and you'll have to wait for the festival to end, since I need every barrel I've got...but I'll do it if you can show me the funds!" Her expression jumps back to the confident bar owner she is.

She laughs at Shadrick's attempts to woe her over. "Hon, I've been running this bar for much too long to fall for something like that!"

Just as she's finished speaking, the door slams open and a group of strapping and burly men walk in the door, laughing and shouting out in joyous manner. Among the jokes and phrases thrown, mention of a weight lifting competition seem to be the main focus.

At the last second, one of these men walks right behind Narekk, accidentally smacking the half-orc in the back of the head. It stings, but no real damage can be done to a man of Narekk's size. Drunkenly, the owner of the arm looks at Narekk. "Ohh...sorry, frien'."

And we are underway!

As a heads up, I post later in the day, so if you don't see something within an hour or so, wait until afternoon-ish and I'll likely reply by then.

As for Ellizza's question of taking the spells instead of traits for herself, I'm going to say no.

Yes, it would be rather comical and fairly mystic for a gnome to ride about on her giant crow, but it would cause issues with how fast you're travelling, what your crow is doing, and what'll happen if you run out of spell time during a flight.

So as much fun as it would be, I'd much rather not have to worry about it.

Thank you for asking, though! :D

The collective of farmers, adventurers, and a gnome all reach the same inn by mere happenstance. The Rusty Dragon, as it were, got its name from the large, sea air rusted dragon on the roof. The owner, Ameiko Kaijitsu, runs the place and currently has out for the feasting her signature curry-spiced salmon with early winterdrop mead to wash it down.

"Welcome to the Rusty Dragon! I'm Ameiko, owner and head chef. First plates are on the house!" She carries out a few plates of her curry-spiced salmon for the party, with appropriate sized plates for Narekk and Ellizza. "Haven't seen your faces around here before. What brings you to Sandpoint?"

Ameiko gives Ellizza something of a sympathetic laugh, taking only one of the silver coins and sliding it into her pocket.

Assuming you're all seated at the same table and Ellizza comes over to sit with you, Ameiko takes a look at each of you gathered. "Let's see, we have a minstrel, a warrior, a farmer with some skills outside the field, a man of mystery, and a crazy haired magician. Sounds like the start of a grand adventure, don't you think?" She laughs heartily. "Can't wait to see what trouble you five get into."

Currently we have an Inquisitor, a Gunslinger, a Skald, and an Archanist. If you can come up with something that'll work with those, go for it. And you didn't miss your chance! Post when you can!

Its a nice eighty-five degrees on the morning of the Autumnal Equinox. a light breeze hitting through the town of Sandpoint, the smell of the sea coming of the town. Markets set up to cater to the festivals needs and trying to rake in some sales of themselves, on sale food, clothes, local crafts, and souvenirs. Numbers full from the town's own citizens and the pilgrimage of travelers coming to partake of festival. It was one of the most anticipated days in the last five years of difficult times, it was a clean slate, to move on...

As the numbers filled in, everyone was directed to the front of a pristine cathedral, before it a stage for all to see and receive needed word from the speakers to start the festival. The first to the fore was the Mayor, Kendra Deverin, "Welcome all to the Sandpoint Swallowtail Festival! Thank you all for coming and its a great turn out! Look, even Larz Rovanky tore himself from his job to come!" Larz, whom is standing close to the front, makes a noise of annoyance. This brings laughs to those around him, "But nonetheless, once again welcome all, to our festival to christen our new cathedral. Buy something from the many markets here to get a necklace for the lucky lady you're with and maybe a gift for yourself (and family), or even the fun and games set up all around! Lunch will be provided freely by our lovely tavern owners, so be sure to try it all! I hope you all enjoy yourselves! And now a word from our dear Sheriff, Balor Hemlock!" She clapped and made her way to the side, motion a large Shoanti man.

The sheriff walked onto the stage, receiving welcome cheer, but as he did, he raised a hand to silence the crowd, "I wish well with the festival, but there is business to be done first... I ask you all be safe and careful around this evening's bonfire. And finally, a moment of silence for those lost in the fire five years ago" he removed his wide brimmed hat and bowed his head down. All was silent until he raised his head, returning the hat to crown of his head. "Thank you, have a wonderful day." He turned and took the left exit of the stage to get to patrolling the festival.

Without missing a beat, Cyrdak Drokkus, Sandpoint's showman slide to the front of the stage, "Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! There was to be a speaker before me, but I am sure few would be surprised with lord Kaijitsu's 'Illness'. But lets not worry about that, our main concern here is the cathedral behind me!" he turned to point to it. A large stone structure, beautiful in its design. "It was a hard job to be sure, we scrapped every penny we could, donations from fellow churches, funding from the founding families of this wondrous town, the business' doing their part for the greater good, and even picking any coin up from the ground or cracks we could find! And here it stands!" He smiled and turned back to the crowd arms wide, "And our reason of the festival today! Enjoy, relax and be merry! While your at it, come on down to the Sandpoint theater this evening! Our show is a tale written from yours truly" he placed a hand to his chest and bowed. "That's not all! For the lead role of Avisera the Harpy Queen... is Diva Allishandra all the way from Magnimar! Don't miss it! Now for a final word from our head of the cathedral, Father Zantus!" he began the applause for the cleric, backing away from the show spot of the stage for him.

Father Zantus walked up and nodded lightly, looking a bit nervous from all the attention, he waved his hand to ask for calm, "Thank you... thank you for the warm greeting. I will not make this long, I am not a man able to give large speeches. All I will say is welcome, and please enjoy your time here... and let the festival begin." He nodded to the people to the side of the stage, they removed a tarp and the children of Lady Desna, swallowtail butterflies took to the sky. Children around ran after any that were close to the ground that they could try for, but never quite able to get them. With that, the festival had begun!

Welcome to the game! You haven't met yet, but you can go ahead and introduce yourselves to the game at least! Play a game, eat some food, what have you!

Whelp, I haven't received a response from VisualTech, so we have to let him go.

Thankfully, we have a backup.

Ellizza is a gnome transmuter who will be joining us instead. Yes, we'll have two magic users. Big whoop, it'll be fun to see them clash and click!

I've sent a PM to Ellizza and hopefully she'll be around soon!

I thought I said earlier that your starting gold is the average starting gold for your class. My mistake.

Your starting gold is the average starting gold for your class.

More than fine Marcus! Don't push yourself for us, we'll be just fine!

That is two characters down, three to go!

I will be sending private messages to those who haven't submitted a character/alias, and unless they reply within, say, three days (by 11/19/15), I will withdraw their request for submission and I will scrounge for (a) new player(s).

Until then, we are almost good to go!

I like the changes and you have my permission, on one condition.

Teiflings can choose from Abyssal, Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, Infernal, and Orc as bonus languages. Orcs get fewer languages.

If you change over to Common, Orc as your languages, you'll also change to your available bonus languages of Abyssal, Draconic, Giant, Gnoll, and Goblin. I'll also throw in Infernal since it makes sense you'd learn the language of your unknown ancestors.

I like where you're going with this, Longears.

Since you know where you're going with this, you don't need to take the Fiendish Heritage Feat and simply change your stats to match your Oni Heritage.

What will your new feat be?

Anyone else have any questions? VerbalTech? Tim? Any questions?

I offer you an ultimatum for the healing situation:

I wanted to have an NPC join you for myself, since I haven't actually played this game either! I could make him a Cleric for healing you guys.

OR

I can give Narekk a free Wand of Cure Light Wounds. Consider it a gift of your Lord in Iron, who hopes you stay alive long enough to face his truest test of your battle prowess.

As for having to take the Fiendish Heritage for the Variant Heritages, I'm going to want to see what you want to exchange first, then I'll decide if you need the feat or not.

Speaking of feats, Narekk can't take Weapon Focus at 1st lvl. Weapon Focus requires a +1 BAB, and Inquisitors have +0 BAB at 1st lvl.

And I gotta ask, did you find that picture and made a character after him, or did you draw it or something? Cause it looks awesome!

I've looked at the Background Skills rules, and while I like the idea of them, I'm going to leave it up to you guys.

Vote on whether or not you want to use the Background Skills rules in your next post everyone!

Background skill rules can be found here, but they work like so: There are a small number of skills that don't really have any purpose outside of adventure, such as Knowledge Nobility, Craft, Perform or Sleight of Hand. These skills are in their own seperate list, and every time you level up you gain an additional 2 skill ranks for those skills and those skills alone.

Take a look at the rules and post your thoughts on the matter. I like to make my players happy with their game!

And that, friends, is a full team!

So far I see we have the following:

  • Unchained Rogue
  • Pistolero(Gunslinger)
  • Arcanist
  • Sanctified Slayer(Inquisitor)

Seems like a fairly well rounded team to me!

Longears, I'd like to know who your deity is, since that will determine quite a few things about your character.

Again, I'd like everyone to make sure they have read the Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition Player's Guide so we all know where we're going.

As soon as we have character sheets/aliases made, we can get started!
