I'm curious if the attraction ability is meant to work across species? i.e. Hetero male human comes across a sexy female elf/gnoll/ogre who has just been splashed with some sickly sweet fantasy spanish fly. Does the effect kick in? Or is it same species dependent?

Yellowdingo - Many thanks. I've looked for that song on and off for a lot of years. I'm curious, did you know the band? Or are you just awesome with search functions?

The circumstances of my life changing in that timeframe would have to mean I have been pulled into a parallel timeline to be that far off...Not sure how to explain the discrepancy though....
BTW Marshall and Drunken Nomad, those weren't the song I'm looking for, but I like them both nonetheless...Who knew crows were such an inspired song title?
As best as my fuzzy memory can put together, it was vaguely Stone Temple Pilotish....Definitely not grunge, it seemed a little more shiny? By today's Pro Tools production standards, probably not heavily produced, but for back then it would have been....
I will not allow my wife to see this video. Literally, the crying will go on for days....
Roughly 20 years ago I had a period of trouble getting to sleep and would listen to lots of different radio stations late at night trying to relax and get some zzzs. Half-asleep, or maybe three quarters asleep one night, I was listening to a Washington based station play a song called "For the Crow" and I believe the band's name was The Rubes, or The Rudes, or something similar. Of course, really enjoying the song, I fell asleep....When I woke up the next morning I decided to hunt for an album or single. In that dim near-Hyborian age before iTunes, the local indie store Zulu didn't have anything by this phantom group I'm not sure I actually heard, or just half-made up in my head.....Anyone Washingtonians actually remember this band? Or did I just dream up the whole thing.....
(And no, I did not just watch "The Crow" on TV that night.....)
Has anyone mentioned Merlin vs. Madam Mim from Disney's The Sword in the Stone?

And thanks for reading above in the thread, and voting for Graeme, the little kid on the left side of the screen....*smacks himself in the forehead for not re-posting that detail*
My son Graeme is in the final two - 3 more days of voting to decide the winner. If any Paizonian Canucks can throw a few last minute votes his way, please do so....
And for non-Canadian residents, you can still check out his lightsaber work at:

Jedi Graeme has made it to the Final Four of the Canadian "Join the Jedi" contest.
If you are a Canadian resident, please sending in you're votes (voting instructions above)!
Thanks everyone!
And for non-Canadian residents, you can still go check out the lightsaber-y goodness.
It's not too late! Any Canadian Paizonians, please take a look at my son's Jedi video and cast a vote(instructions above!).
Any Canucks out there?
The link above seems to be working correctly.
Thanks again in advance to anyone who can vote for Graeme.
And if you can't vote (or don't want to), check out the videos anyway. They're pretty fun to watch.....
Thanks for the help! I have re-posted the thread for Canadian residents.

My 6 year-old son Graeme is starring in a 20 second video clip showing off his own Jedi lightsaber move, the “Saddle Slash”. He has made it through the semi-finals (top 32) to be displayed on the Canadian “Join the Jedi” website, and he has been chosen by their judges' panel as one of eight finalists.
The contest winner will now be chosen by the public’s votes, and we’re hoping you can help him win!
If you're a Canadian resident, click on the link below and you can vote for Graeme’s video from November 21 to December 11 inclusive. You can place 1 vote per person per day. The contest prize?
1. His move will be featured on the Star Wars the Clone Wars animated TV series WITH his name in the credits!
2. A trip to Disneyworld for four
(Mom and Dad would be really excited to win the trip; my son is pretty geeked to see his name in the credits of Star Wars The Clone Wars.)
For some weird reason, it seems you have to create an ID to vote. If you can take a few minutes, please vote for Graeme's video by following these steps:
First, go to:
Join the Jedi
Then, to create an ID and vote:
go to the top right corner “login”
click NEW USER
create a username and password
wait for an email confirmation
click on the link in your email, find Graeme’s video (as above) and there will be a VOTE button under the video VOTE!
Every vote makes a difference, so please support Graeme with your votes! And May the Force be with you!
Unfortunately, I don't have any "spare" Canadian addresses, though I appreciate the offer. I'd like to abide by the "rules"....even they aren't spelled out...
So I guess I have to restrict this to my Pathfinder brothers north of the border.....I very much appreciate the support though!
Hmmmm....I didn't think the voting would be restricted to Canadian residents, there is nothing in the rules about that. But there is a U.S.contest going on at the same time, so it makes sense.
Not sure why the link is doing that, but I'll try it again...

Starting to make next year's vacation bookings next week.....any more information on what the dates will be?????
A non-buggy version of Temple of Elemental Evil. Or a Pathfinder version using the same turn-based engine would be fine. Another turn based version of The Bard's Tale (I know of the newer one and enjoyed that too, but something about seeing your "hunter" critically hit that 10th Mangar guard in a row was sweet.)
I'd also love to see an update of Archon, the old combat chess game. That was a lot of fun...
I actually had them refunded by Sara Marie. It still stings that I can't go this year.....
Sadly, I need to make the same request. I have two tickets will not be able to use.
Sorry,no banquet ticket up for grabs, just the badges....
Hi everyone,
Well, after attending my first Paizocon (and my first any 'con) last year, enjoying myself immensely, and looking forward to this year's 'con for months.....I'm forced to bow out...If anyone can take my two badges off my hands and give them a good home, I will feel marginally better that they are put to good use.
Please make me an offer.....And have fun everyone who is attending!
Jason Nelson wrote: The Museum of Glass is actually very cool, and it includes an active working demonstration glassworks where you can watch folks making stuff right before your eyes. It will require a car, as it's down in Tacoma, about 30+ miles from the PaizoCon site, but if you're looking for a local attraction that's pretty unique and very interesting, I'd give it a thumbs up. I went there with the wife and kids last year and everybody liked it. The Museum of Glass was very cool. The family and I took about 3.5 hours getting through the whole thing and we were quite happy to make the trip down to Tacoma.
Thanks for the recommendation Jason!
Tambryn wrote: The only size issue I saw was when a hundred or so PFS players decended on the free continental breakfast just minutes before the games were to at 8. In fact my only complaint about the Coast Bellevue at all was the service in their lounge. Other than that, top marks all around. +1
My family and I had a few issues with the lounge service (which was eventually righted by Michelle, who was wonderful). But other than that, need...bigger...store....
+1
I was pretty impressed by everything. But extra props to:
-Greg A. Vaughn's breakneck GM'ing during the Twisting Plots game
-Sean's teaching skills at the minis painting class. I think he managed to fully convert my 5-year-old son who wants to go paint more minis "right now!"
-Corey Macourek's ability to do a map-making class...without an overhead projector.
This was my first Paizocon, and my first 'con ever. Already looking forward to next year....
I was one of the audience participants. This session was one of the true highlights of the weekend.
It's hard to describe the atmosphere, but sometime around the cleric tossing her hair like a supermodel with a +20 diplomacy check, and everyone wanting the bard's flute for...ahem, somewhat dubious purposes, everyone started laughing, and we didn't stop for the next two hours.....
Thanks again to Greg and all the players for being such great sports!
I hope this one is expanded at the next Paizocon.
I seem to have a problem with my registration. I 'think' I got into Greg A. Vaughn's audience group of 20 for Twisting Plots, but due to a conflict with a seminar at the same time it's not on my schedule.
It does say that there is a conflict with Creating Evocative Locations. However, when I try to drop the conflicting seminar it drops, but even though the option to add Twisting Plots is available, adding Twisting Plots won't save...
Anyone else have a similar problem?

I'll second this question. Is there a way to "buddie" up for selected events?
My final vote of the contest went to Matt Goodall.
In every previous round I had voted for Jim Groves and Alex MacLeod, who are the only two contestants in the contest I can say that about.
And if I was voting on body of work, my vote would have went to one of those two contestants.
But I'm voting for the best entry in the final round. IMHO, that was Matt Goodall.

The glass works sounds very cool. I think the whole family would be interested in that....
Jason, since you've been there before, how long would you say a good visit would take? Is it a 3 hour tour? Longer? Shorter?
Tickets? Check.
Coast Bellevue room reserved? Check.
Multiple elixirs of sleep brewing to keep children mollified during the long drive? Check.
Wife's shopping and day plans under way? Check.

Sometimes when you swing for the fences, you take your eye off the ball and the bat ends up the third base bleachers.
Thank you again for your time and effort Clark. It is appreciated.

I'm ready for some medicine....
Periapt of the Salamander
Aura strong conjuration ; CL 13th
Slot neck; Price 27000gp ; Weight -
DESCRIPTION
This brilliant emerald dangles from a burnished copper chain. Once the periapt has been worn continuously for 24 hours the wearer automatically becomes stable if his hit points drop below zero and he also becomes immune to bleed damage.
In addition, as a free action three times per week, the wearer may shed any single limb from their body as a salamander sheds its tail. This ability gives the wearer a bonus of +10 on a single combat maneuver check or Escape Artist check to attempt to free himself from being grappled, pinned or to escape from restraints. If the check succeeds, the character gains a +2 bonus to his next attack roll or initiative check due his opponent’s surprise.
The shedded limb cannot be reattached, and begins to rot within one round. The missing limb regrows in 2d10 rounds. If a leg was shedded, the character takes a -6 penalty to dexterity and his movement rate is halved until regrowth is complete. If an arm was shedded, the character must declare which one was lost and the appropriate effects due to the loss of weapons, shields, magic rings and other items on the lost arm. Recovered items can only be used on the new arm when regrowth is complete.
If for any reason the periapt is removed from the wearer’s neck after a limb has been shed, but before regrowth is complete, the limb continues to regrow normally, but takes a full twenty rounds. The character must also make a Fortitude save against DC 19 or be stunned by the shock to his system.
CONSTRUCTION
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, regeneration; Cost 13500 gp
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who got lost on the way to the voting booth.....
Dementrius - you are a big idea guy. You're obviously creative in your ideas AND your execution. I've made this comparison before, but I think you are this year's Boomer.
But even more than Boomer, for you to take this thing, I think you'll need to get in touch with your inner editor. If you can do that, you've got a great shot. Looking forward to reading what further inspired madness you have in that twisted brain of yours.....
I like it when someone takes a category of monster that seems played out and exhausted and creates something new.
New golems aren't the most difficult type of monster to create, but that conversely makes it harder to make the concept interesting. And you have done so.
And the thought of this golem creeping around the headquarters of the Thieves Guild or ninja clan hideout just seems cool.

Pure mojo....
Well designed, thought through, and FUN! Top 5.
It's tough to make a utility item sexy. But this IS sexy. Top 5.
Top 5 for mojo. Well done! Yoinked for my home game....
