The party arrived to the city of Tamran, capital of Nirmathas on a peace keeping mission. You provided escort to a small fleet of vessels carrying aid to the war torn country. The Nirmathi has been at war with their neighbors to the south, Molthune, for many years. You notice that a large wall around the city has collapsed, and bridges have collapsed throughout the city. Clearly, Nirmathas is on the losing side of this war. Your instructions are to deliver these goods to Forest Marshal Weslen Gavirk, head of the Nirmathi rangers. You are in Bloodcove speaking with Malika Fenn. She is the sole operator of the Pathfinder lodge here. Bloodcove is on the edge of the feared pirate infested Shackles. Pathfinders. Once again, you are called into duty. I'm not going to ask you to do anything stupid, like find me a tea set, or find a pretty flower that can be used for a love potion. I need you to eliminate a threat to not only the Society, but to all naval travellers. Malika sighs, then continues. Grindylows. I'm talking about those nasty gross things that look part octopus and part goblin that was beaten with an ugly stick. Reminds me of my ex-husband. Ha. Ha. She waits for everyone to join in her laughter, then realizes that no one has. Anyway, these grindylows have been attacking merchants, pirates, even some scout ships for the Chelish navy. I want you to track them down and eliminate them. They are worse than normal goblins, so I don't know if you can parlay with them. Malika pulls out a map. They have been tracked to Bonewrack Isle. Feel free to search out the island itself. Who knows what other things live there. It sounds spooky. One final thing, I hope you can swim, hold your breath, or breath underwater. Grindylows sure can fight underwater. Malika pauses for questions.

The meeting in Absalom with Drandle Dreng nearly a month ago was brief, as always. “I have a routine mission for you, though a dangerous routine mission,” the old man whispered in the great hall in the Grand Lodge. Suffering from a cold and weak from lack of food and rest, the old venture-captain looked quite possibly the worst you’d ever seen him. Through wracking coughs he explained, “An ally of ours in the Land of the Linnorm Kings—Rognvald Skagni—is writing a lengthy report on the state of government in the northern countries of Avistan. I received a letter from him just yesterday requesting several key documents from the vaults here to help him finish the report.” Venture-Captain Dreng patted a large, heavy-looking chest next to him. “These are the documents, and I need you to board a ship north to deliver them to Skagni.” Dreng tried to stand at that point, but a fit of coughing sent him back into his seat. He gestured for a well-dressed, impeccably kept man standing in the shadows of the room to approach and whispered raspy orders to him. Rock-Con is THE annual regional gaming convention for players in Rockford, IL and the surrounding area. This year we welcome you to celebrate Rock-Con’s 39th anniversary October 19th-21st 2012! The convention features historical and fantasy miniature gaming, collectible miniatures, role playing, collectible card and board gaming events covering the entire spectrum of adventure gaming. The Rockford Pathfinder Society is a new group at Rock-Con this year. We plan to have activities all weekend long, for all age groups and player experience levels. From the Pathfinder Beginner Box demos to the introductory scenarios released this year to Pathfinder Society Organized play scenarios and sanctioned modules, we'll have many ways for you to get involved in the exciting world of the Pathfinder RPG. We have several scenarios and a two-part sanctioned module to choose from, with choices available for several different tiers of experience levels (1-5, 3-7, 5-9, 7-11). What: Concentric Convention
This is our Spring convention held in the Chicagoland area. Concentric 2012 will be held at the Holiday Inn Itasca. Concentric has been upgraded to a two day convention this year. We plan to continue the grand tradition of the original Concentric convention franchise. Any advice? I'd love to merge all of the stuff together. As a separate question, it looks like I only get 1 PA for sessions I DM (flagged with GM Credit). I thought I would get full PA. Has that changed? Thanks! |
