One in every thousand imps possesses the ability to communicate telepathically with creatures within 50 feet and the power to change its form into that of any Small or Tiny animal, as per the spell beast shape II. These imp consulars are highly prized by powerful devils, who send them to serve their favored minions or to corrupt mortals with great destinies. An imp consular can be summoned via the Improved Familiar feat, but only by a spellcaster of 8th level or higher. Diabolists tell of other breeds of imps with similarly specialized abilities, but if such creatures truly exist they are an especially rare lot.

Change some of the immunities to bonuses to saves and / or energy resistances that scale upwards by level, and this could be the awesomest idea ever.

Wild Shape
At 12th level, could we add in "beast shape IV"? It would give the Druid access to this one level after a wizard can get it as a spell.

- MSD *is* a problem. Solution: make the Paladin a CHA-based caster. Even better: make him a spontaneous CHA-based caster (like a divine sorcerer-figther type)

- it would be *very* nice to have a Paladin open to other alignments. Make it a 1st level choice (like the sorcerer's bloodline) if he's LG (classic paladin), LN ("Judge Dread", "I AM THE LAW" type), or LE ("Anti-paladin"). This won't hurt backwards compatibility one bit.
