I'm looking for some guidance for a problem that has cropped up. I run the Myth Weavers PbP chapter of PFS, and like most PbP games, there is a high attrition rate. How should I tell my GMs to rule when they start out with a group of 6 players, but over the course of a couple months, this drops down to below the minimum (4, or 3 + GMPC)? I have one GM who finished running his scenario with just 2 players! There was a great deal of time and effort put into it, and it would be a shame not to award those two players with chronicle sheets just because others dropped out.

Thoughts and/or official rulings?

I'm currently running a chapter of PFS over on the Myth Weavers PbP boards. One of my GMs is getting a bit frustrated with a couple of his players whose post rates have tanked recently. The players in question seem to be "dialing it in", with no meaningful contribution to the game whatsoever. The GM would like to know how he should handle this situation, in regard to chronicle sheets after the scenario is over. Do the neglectful players still get normal XP and access to treasure and boons? Can the GM oust the players from the game? I'm not sure how to advise him, as I'm bit hazy how the official PFS rules apply in this situation.

Can I get a ruling?

Over on Myth Weavers, a highly active PbP site, I've taken it upon myself to organize a PFS chapter. Random GMs have offered PFS scenarios once in a while over the years, but the site has never attempted to regulate and promote PFS activity.

I've named myself Venture-Captain, and already recruited a stable of willing GMs and a sizable player pool, all of whom are registered here with Paizo and the Society. Is there anything I need to do to make the chapter "official" with Paizo? What about naming myself Venture-Captain? Is that kosher, or do I need to get approval from Paizo?

I just want to make this as legit as possible, so if anyone can give me a heads up, that'd be great.

And of course, I encourage all of you to check out game ad and join up!

I'm brand new to the Society, and I'd like to try GMing a scenario using PbP. I've GMed PbP numerous times with other systems over the years, so the medium is old hat. The logistics of reporting an official Society scenario is what's confusing me. A few questions:

- I can easily send a chronicle sheet to each player via email. After they fill it in, how do I mark it up and sign it officially? Do I do so by hand, scan it, and then send back the scan to the player? Can that player use that chronicle sheet in future events, and be assured that it is official?

- Say a person wants to play with a PC that has already been used in PFS. Should I require that person to send me a scan of their latest chronicle sheet, so I can look it over?

If you have any general advice as to how to make a PFS PbP run smoothly, I'm all ears!

Thanks in advance!
