Liberty's Edge

Deeply motivated by the urgent need for cash, I made a census of how often APs were mentioned on this forum of AP General Discussion in threads about best/worst APs or parts thereof during the last 4 years.

So that I would keep the best ones in case I could GM them someday.

I figure it can be of use to others, so here we are :

1. Curse of the Crimson Throne : 41 points = +41 positive mentions - 0 negative mentions

2. Hell's Rebels : 35 points = +35-0

2. Rise of the Runelords : 35 points = +35-0

4. Strength of Thousands : 30 points = +30-0

Is there a way for a non-caster to become stupefied on their own ? Asking for a Rivethun Disciple friend.

Liberty's Edge

The wording of the Invest an item action strongly suggest that you can only Invest an item during daily preparations : "You reset the limit during your daily preparations, at which point you Invest your Items anew."

I could have sworn I saw somewhere that you can invest an item later, for example after finding it during the following day, but I find nothing like this in the RAW.

Was I hallucinating this possibility ?

There is no mention of Anathema in the playtest document.

Yet, I feel they should be there.

Animist is supposed to compare to Cleric, who does have anathema. Why doesn't Animist ?

I could see each Apparition having its own anathema.

Exemplar can become Sanctified and Holy/Unholy with no anathema.

Nothing prevents me from playing a cruel and deeply evil Exemplar who is Holy.

Clerics and Champions, who will also get access to Sanctification and Holy/Unholy, have their anathema to keep them in line. Why is the Exemplar free from this ?

How do other people feel about this ?

Liberty's Edge

Inspired by a thread on the advice board.

If you want to start preparing a PF2 AP these days (so OGL) but plan on playing them with the Remastered rules, which are the ones you can adapt most readily ?

Way I see it, the biggest changes will be to opponents' stat blocks. Especially the removal of alignment damage and maybe the change on refocus rules.

So, which APs have enemies that heavily use these (and other Remastered impactful changes) and which will not notice the difference ?

Liberty's Edge

Seeing how some energy damage types (cold, electricity...) are lacking from those granted at creation to the playtest Kineticist, we think / hope they will be provided by hybrid elements.

What could those hybrid elements be ?

My ideas :

Air + Earth = opposed elements : no hybrid
Air + Fire = Smoke
Air + Metal = Electricity
Air + Water = Ice
Air + Wood = Sound

Earth + Fire = Magma
Earth + Metal = Ore
Earth + Water = Mud
Earth + Wood = Soil

Fire + Metal = Forge
Fire + Water = opposed elements : no hybrid
Fire + Wood = Ember

Metal + Water = Rust
Metal + Wood = opposed elements : no hybrid

Water + Wood = Kelp

What about your ideas ?

Just realized Keftiu had not created this thread yet :-)

Uplifted by the Dark Archive rules, dealing with amnesia and investigating paranormal events, this AP is taking you across the Broken Lands, from the River Kingdoms to Sarkoris to who knows where.

Maybe Numeria for the alien touch. Or will it be Razmiran and its living god ?

In any case, which character concepts come forth from the vast deeps of your imagination ?

Liberty's Edge

If the Support action of an allied Animal Companion deals damage, for example the Bear : "Until the start of your next turn, each time you hit a creature in the bear’s reach with a Strike, the creature takes 1d8 slashing damage from the bear.", does it get the +1 to damage from Inspire Courage ?

Inspire Courage : "You and all allies in the area gain a +1 status bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves against fear effects."

What can we imagine would be part of a redesign on par with PF1 Unchained ?

I definitely could see Classes : Alchemist, Witch and Cleric (Warpriest).

Any other contenders ?

Playing a Starlit Span Magus.

Can I use Spellstrike by casting an attack spell from a scroll and then Striking with my bow ?

Since the scroll is destroyed as part of the casting, that means my two hands are available to Strike with the bow, right ?

Want to cast from a scroll and be 100% assured of the result, without having to take a caster dedication ?

Take Trick Magic Item and the Assurance feat for the skill of the Tradition you want.

Here are the PC levels at which you will cast spells of a given level, according to your proficiency in the skill.

1st level spells (DC 15) : Trained at level 3, Expert at level 2.

2nd level spells (DC 18) : Trained at level 6, Expert at level 4.

3rd level spells (DC 20) : Trained at level 8, Expert at level 6.

4th level spells (DC 23) : Trained at level 11, Expert at level 9, Master at level 7.

5th level spells (DC 26) : Trained at level 14, Expert at level 12, Master at level 10.

6th level spells (DC 28) : Trained at level 16, Expert at level 14, Master at level 12.

7th level spells (DC 31) : Trained at level 19, Expert at level 17, Master at level 15.

8th level spells (DC 34) : Expert at level 20, Master at level 18, Legendary at level 16.

9th level spells (DC 36) : Master at level 20, Legendary at level 18.

10th level spells (DC 39) : no luck ;-)

Hi, all,

The Announcements subforum is the only thing that appears within the Paizo General Discussion forum. The threads still exist though and their path is indeed Paizo General Discussion. They just do not appear on that level.

Thanks for your hard work.

Thank YOU.

And this blog post should appear in the Dark Archive playtest forum. I will flag this post so that it gets moved there.

And have the relevant tags : it currently has none.

EDIT : Alright. It moved :-D

Note : I am under a pretty bad flu, so my report is not fluid reading IMO. And not being a native speaker does not help. Hope it is still understandable / useable.

After much perusing of the playtest threads that lamented the pigeonholing of the Thaumaturge as damage dealer, I decided to go the whole way Martial that hurts opponents, hence Weapon Implement.

NB : My first concept was Lantern Implement because it oozed with flavor, but I was worried that I would actually lose firepower while not gaining much for it : the build felt stretched and the abilities did not really bring immediate benefit to the party the way chopping opponents’ HPs does.

For the other Implements, Amulet felt too restricted by the Esoteric Antithesis-only restriction, Chalice is interesting but you're not making use of your true strength (damaging the opponent), Wand seems haphazard maybe, like it does not really fit and is not really supported.

And really the Implement Interruption looks so very cool for hurting enemies. I love my Paladin's Retribution Strike, so anything that gives me a MAP-free attack I welcome with open arms.

Having decided to go Oomph, my biggest concern was to protect my own low HPs. The answer was Shield cantrip (for the block ability) as well as Reach weapon for both protection and getting max use of the Implement Interruption feature.
1H weapon with STR build means Gnome Flickmace, which combined well with the Wellspring Gnome Heritage to get Shield.

Sidenote : I considered going Fey-Touched Gnome to take the almighty Electric Arc with the ability to change it to something more appropriate given enough advance warning. But it really did not fit the combat role I was going for : in the thick of melee.

Whip would have opened more Ancestries, but that required going DEX rather than STR for not much of an advantage (better REF saves) while losing significant damage.

Going all out STR Thaumaturge ended up with the following :
STR 16
DEX 12 (for max AC with my Medium Armor)
CON 14
INT 8
WIS 8
CHA 18

Having low WIS did not hurt that much my stats thanks to the class starting with Expert Perception and Expert Will.

In addition to the 4 magical skills, I put my lone Trained skill in Society to round up the RK skills. And I chose my background to get both boost in CHA and Trained in Diplomacy (with the Bargain Hunter feat for both Earn Income and better starting wealth). I might have gone Intimidate otherwise. I do not care much for Deception though. Alternately, a background with boost in STR and Trained in Athletism might have been interesting too.

Note : putting one of your few Trained skill in Society just so you can have all the RK skills is definitely a skill tax. It makes no sense, when you see how Find Flaws works, not to take it. In fact, it makes no sense not to have it given alongside the other RK skills.

My last choice, and where I most hesitated, was with the Class feats.

Basically, the 1st level ones feel either useless or very specific and do not add much to the build.
It is the very first time in my years building PF2 characters of any Class that I did not even consider trying to get an additional lvl1 Class feat through Human !!!

Playing PFS, so with no way to know what other builds there would be, I went for the Scroll Thaumaturgy feat, which added a welcome DIY casty feeling with a big potential IMO for later versatility through access to all spells.

Other lvl1 feats :

Binding Oath = NO : nice flavor, bad benefit as it is not even useable in combat uses and is rather limited in scope too.

Divine Disharmony = ALMOST : could be nice, but needs to put the lone Trained Skill to Intimidate, which is less good than Diplomacy for non-combat encounters. Also costs an action for even more combat bonuses. There comes a time when you have to stop preparing for the fight and just fight.

Esoteric Lore = NO : based on INT is a flaw here. It does not help in combat and you already adress a lot of RK needs through Trained in the 4 magical skills + Society.

Familiar = NO : I do not cast spells, not even Focus ones. And I am not even crafting. Flavor-only is a hard pass here. Maybe there are free hands shenanigans here I am not familiar with.

Haunt Cunning = TORN : I love the flavor and the concept, but Haunts are not that common, except when they are almost everywhere. Too situational, even though I would have taken it for my Tangent Green Lantern-inspired Lantern Thaumaturge because it fits the theme so well.

Root to life = ALMOST : great flavor (again) and can be pretty damn useful in the right circumstances, but the 2 actions use is too niche and not worth losing the actions. With a better action economy (like Doctor's Visitation or as a reaction), I would have considered it strongly because of my PC's otherwise total lack of healing abilities.

In the end, my main problem with the chosen build was that my PC indeed had zero healing ability, which can be a problem in PFS. It can be remedied at 2nd level with an appropriate Dedication though (Blessed One seems best). Or maybe stack on Heal scrolls.

For gear, I went Breastplate, Gnome Flickmace, Sling for distance (works with Implement's Empowerment and has good range), Buckler in case I blocked with my Shield cantrip and a scroll of Magic Weapon.

Note : I hesitated a little with a scroll of Heal, but Magic Weapon makes a huge difference at low levels and having AoO only makes it even better. I start with scroll in hand to cast it as soon as a fight begins.

Now, let's see what this gave in play.

We played 2 bounties, PFS-style. I put their name in spoiler to protect those who want to stay blissfully ignorant ;-)

**************************

First bounty played:
Fishing in Anthusis

Other party members (all lvl1) : 1 Kobold Paladin of Abadar, 1 Human (Aasimar) Paladin of Ragathiel , 1 Dhampir Undead Sorcerer (Sekhmet). This party has some healing and is extremely melee-heavy. Subtlety will not be a keyword here.

Skill challenges / opportunities :

Diplomacy is always nice, but my build has an enormous lack of skills. Most skill uses I did were based on pure stats (CHA skills and STR skills), except for the RK-skills which were not that useful overall, especially given those did not use CHA except for Find Flaws, but my low, low WIS and INT.

At 1st level, my PC could still manage, but at later levels, getting Untrained Improvisation is a MUST.

At one moment, we were aware of a monster under the water, but we could not really see it, hence no possibility to Find Flaw. Find Flaw requiring visual contact is a heavy limitation. What do you do vs Invisible foes, or when in Greater Darkness ?

Note : unless you Investigated your opponent first (and see below for this situation), you cannot Find Flaws and use Esoteric Antithesis before you get to act. Which means that you will not get to react before that moment, as opposed to Attack of opportunity and other such actions that do not explicitly require an action on your part before being available. So, Implement's Interruption is inferior to Attack of Opportunity in such a case.

Fight against 2 opponents (both without Reach). Starts at short distance but in the water below our pier.

1st opponent Strides and attacks us, wounds one of the Paladins. The GM considers that the other Paladin could not react.
I am adjacent to the 1st opponent.
My turn : Magic weapon from the scroll, success at Find Flaws = free Esoteric Antithesis. I completely forget (and the GM does not realize) that I have zero action left, so I strike and do an impressive amount of damage, mainly thanks to Magic Weapon. The Paladins strike and kill the 1st opponent.

2nd opponent stride and strikes twice at the sorcerer, wounding him a bit, but this time the Paladins can react and reduce the damage.

I Stride, Strike (without Find Flaws) and cast Shield ; The 2nd opponent dies under the attacks of the Paladins and the Harm of the Sorcerer.

Note : I chose not to Find Flaws then because I was afraid I would not have an action left to strike if I failed at my Find Flaws.

************************************

Second bounty played:
Hillcross Roundup

Other party members (all lvl1) : 1 Kobold Paladin of Abadar, 1 Human Barbarian

Bought a new scroll of Magic Weapon with the 4gp from the previous bounty. Note : scrolls are really good to get that feeling of mystical dabbler but, damn, are they expensive at 1st level.

Skill challenges / opportunities : same as before.

Thanks to tracks, I could use Find Flaws as an Exploration activity. I rolled and Crit failed. Boohoo, Flat-footed for the rest of my 6-seconds turn has no impact. I did not try a reroll with my Hero Point, betting on doing Find Flaws again once I had the opponent in my sights.

We start the fight long distance, facing a main opponent (without reach) and his poisonous Small companion (also no Reach).

I act first, I cast Magic weapon and uses Find Flaws (success) => Esoteric Antithesis on the companion. My fellow party members get closer to the action (Barbarian) and fail at a ranged attack before getting ready to melee (Paladin).

The Companion delays while the main opponent engages the Barbarian.

2nd turn : I take 3 Strides and stop within my reach of the Companion.
The Companion closes on me, triggering Implement Interruption, which is enough to kill it.
My friends trade blows with the main opponent but to no great damage on either side, thanks to the Paladin's reaction lessening the opponent's blows on the Barbarian.

3rd turn : I Find Flaws on the main opponent and fail. Thanks to Dubious Knowledge, I "know" it has AoOs. I use an action for Esoteric Antithesis and Stride near the Paladin with the main opponent within my reach.

The enemy steps towards me and strikes. First time I am hit in the two encounters. Thankfully, the Paladin negates some damage.

The Barbarian sets up a flanking position with the Paladin but misses on his attacks.

I Step behind the Paladin, and strike twice, dealing some damage to the enemy.

The Paladin strikes and kills him.

***************************
Post-game thoughts

1) Benefiting from the Esoteric Antithesis bonus for as long as you do not Find Flaws again is good.

2) Being able to use Find Flaws while Investigating can end up great but you are not always able to do so. I now think I should have rerolled my crit failure above. Because it makes a real difference with using Find Flaws at the beginning of the encounter : you do not have to spend actions AND your abilities that depend on having Esoteric Antithesis engaged are readily available when the encounter begins. And you do not depend on seeing your target !!!

For flavor, I feel this would make great sense for a tracking Ranger. For a mystical Thaumaturge, not so much.

I really feel that the difference between being able to Investigate and Find Flaws before the encounter vs when the encounter begins is too great (see my musings about the variability of Find Flaws/Esoteric Antithesis action economy below)

3) The action economy is hard.

3-a) Being able to self-buff through the Magic weapon scroll is great, but it is far more efficient to have a caster do it.

And if you choose a more reactive scroll (say Heal), you get bad action economy because of the free hand requirement of Implement's Empowerment.

3-b) Buff through Find Flaws is really random. Either you gain precious information and a bonus to damage for one action, or you get wrong info thanks to Dubious Knowledge and have to spend another action to get your bonus, or you get nothing but flat-footed and cannot retry again on that creature (because of the No new RK after a failure rule).

This means you have to put your Find Flaws RK to max : Invest in all RK skills, max CHA, invest in all RK skills items.

And even then, things can go south real quick. This ability is really hard to rely on and plan with, as you just do not know in what state you will be after you try it.

4) Skills are a real problem. You are starved on non-RK skills AND you are not really good at RK skills, except for the very specific (and random as seen above) Find Flaws ability.

5) You are fragile. Your saves are not great, your HPs are low and you have no healing ability unless you use the Chalice, in which case, your ability to damage your foe suffers IMO. And if you go Weapon Implement, having a Reach weapon is almost required.

All of this makes the Thaumaturge pretty one-dimensional IMO, as others as stated in other threads.

Which is sad, considering it is really flavorful and fun on the concept (especially imagining the connections that justify the custome weakness you create).

I will think on how I could progress this PC beyond 1st level and share it with you later.

Does the caster feel it? Can observers see it, maybe with a Seek action? Or do you have to learn it the hard way, when the creature does not strike back after you hit them?

Liberty's Edge

You are Sustaining a Flaming Sphere. Can you use your turn to do Sustain (and move your Flaming Sphere or not) and Ready to Sustain when a door opens so that you can move your sphere through the now opened door ?

Flaming Sphere states : On subsequent rounds, the first time you Sustain this Spell each round, you can leave the sphere in its square or roll it to another square within range. It deals 3d6 fire damage (basic Reflex save) to each creature in that square.

Sustain a spell (Concentrate, One action) states : Choose one spell with a sustained duration you have in effect. The duration of that spell continues until the end of your next turn. Some spells might have slightly different or expanded effects if you sustain them.

Ready (Concentrate, Two actions) states : You prepare to use an action that will occur outside your turn. Choose a single action or free action you can use, and designate a trigger. Your turn then ends. If the trigger you designated occurs before the start of your next turn, you can use the chosen action as a reaction (provided you still meet the requirements to use it).

Are there items out there that give an item bonus to Lore skills ?

My Investigator is a know-it-all based on having all the Lores required to identify creatures you cannot identify with Arcana, Occult or Society.

So, I am looking for items that will help her recall knowledge when using these Lores.

Liberty's Edge

I fervently wish the current format (and rules) for hazards could be changed to follow the three actions system that is used by creatures.

The current system for Hazards works in the opposite way and is a source of errors, even for experienced GMs, with the number after Routine being taken as an action cost (like an activity) instead of the number of actions the Hazard gets in a round.

Being hit with a Hazard attack (Routine 1) thrice in a round when it was supposed to be only once makes it rather deadly.

I feel that Misfire for the firearms and Unstable for the Inventor's contraptions are basically the same thing, though they apparently work in opposed ways. They are both based on the idea that if you do not take proper care when dealing with higher tech items, they are likely to malfunction.

Please, for those as well as for future-proofing, design a general Reliability rule, with a Reliability rating that can be set by the GM at the relevant value, that can be applied to any item with such a risk of malfunction.

This way we only have one new rule to learn.

Note that Overcharging wands also feels similar to this.

After reading the class core chassis (not the class feats yet), I feel that the Investigator archetype will work well with the Gunslinger, and especially the Sniper, which is not a surprise actually.

On the other hand, the Class feels completely opposed to the Swashbuckler archetype, so no Zorro or historical Musketeers along those lines here.

Not surprisingly, the Assassin archetype seems to fit with the Gunslinger, especially the Sniper. I wonder if one could try Assassinate (which needs you to be unnoticed) and then Ghost shot (which requires you to be hidden, undetected or unobserved - should be unnoticed I guess -).

Astonishingly, I see nothing against poisoning your firearm's rounds, so a poisoned cone of Bunderbuss pellets seems RAW.

No mention is done of the damage being Lethal or Non-Lethal.

Let us know! That's the point of the playtest. Myself, I'll be pushing to make patrons more interesting and significant. It should mean something different if one witch has Baba Yaga as a patron, another has Nocticula, and another has Queen Abrogail.

Woo! :D Hopefully that goes through. Even if we can't have other casters as patrons(I can see why people might find non-quasi deity casters giving powers to other casters weird), I still love that idea. Maybe there can be some sort of compromise between having patrons be characters from setting and keeping them mysterious...(if nothing else, I suppose Crimson Oath's patron is kinda similar example)

I do like lesson system though, so would be nice if it sticks along with patrons themselves having more mechanical benefits specific to patron themselves.

On side note I like Patrot's Truth level 20 class feat, but I definitely would like more guidance on what is "fundamental truth" about the patron.

That's the thing for me—I don't see a patron as someone who gives anyone anything. They're not a source of power... they're an inspiration. If this were a real-world concept, a patron would be more like a teacher or an inspiring author or a politician or an activist—someone whose actions inspire you to take a specific route and to study and better yourself. Which means you can even have a dead person/deity as your patron.

I could see a mechanic whereby the patrons are listed not by name, but by role. Things like "Artist" or "Singer" or "Explorer" or "Teacher" or "Politician" or whatever. But with more flavorful names that make it sound like things a witch might be into, along with a few Golarion-flavored examples of patrons, before whatever else mechanical gets in there to do its thing. This way, the player could pick ANY NPC or whoever in any setting, potentially even for different roles. For example, a witch could pick Runelord Sorshen as a Teacher or a Politician and get different results.

Anyway... gonna step back out of the thread. Patrons are something I've always been intrigued on doing better, and I couldn't resist popping in here to chat a bit, but I'd rather let folks outside of my head help give feedback overall. So please pardon my input and distractions! :-P

I have been quite intrigued by this take on Patrons and the more I think about it, the more I see an immense potential in this.

Patrons that are not necessarily sources for the Witch's power, but ways to access it. Role models in a way. Giving keys that unlock the Witch's potential for magic.

Something I picture akin to methods of soothsaying, like reading tea leaves or tarot cards, using the yi king or communing with spirits or interpreting dreams. All those are different ways of getting answers about the unknown and they might give you the same answers but in different ways. And being skilled at tarot reading does not make you an expert at palmistry.

Choose a path, a Patron, study and meditate on them to access the secret truths of the universe through them. And thus gain magic powers.

In the end, the power comes from the Witch and their greater understanding but it is channeled, opened, accessed through the focus on the Patron. The Patron is then the How rather than the Why or What. How the Witch gains power rather than why they gain it and what that power is.

Note that this does not in any way preclude all the usual tropes about the Witch. Maybe the Patron of a Witch is also the source of their power, or it pretends to be, or another entity or several claims to be the Witch's Patron, whether true or not.

Impact of the Patron.

Because the Patron is the way through which the Witch access their power, it needs to color the power. Maybe some lessons are easier to learn if you focus on a Patron that has some affinities with those.

Impact on the familiar. The familiar is the living link between the Witch, the Patron and the power. So it makes sense that the Patron would have an impact on the familiar. Maybe through a selection on the familiar available and/or giving the familiar specific abilities.

In all case, we need to consider that some might wish for a less prescriptive Patron, and the possibility for GM and players to easily build the specifics of a Patron (say similar to how you can easily build a custom background). Makes me think that the Patron could provide Trained in a given Lore.

Why the focus on the Familiar?

I am a bit stuck on this. But the advising familiar is too present in the Witch's imagery to not try and find it an appropriate role.

Maybe the familiar is there to prevent the Witch from becoming completely unhinged. From losing their identity when they would be too focused on their Patron and risk losing their sense of self. The familiar then becomes the Witch's companion on her lonely road to knowledge and power. Helping them to always keep on progressing, understanding and mastering the lessons of the universe.

So what happens if the Witch forsakes its Patron? Based on my comparison to the methods of soothsaying, the Witch keeps their current knowledge and power but needs to find a new way to progress further. And their familiar would either adapt and keep on accompanying them or would leave and the Witch would find a more adequate replacement.

Witches and the Divine tradition.

TBH I do not see why Witches should be banned from getting the Divine tradition anyway when all the others are available.

And it makes even less sense to me if the Patron is merely the focus of a Witch's studies rather than the source of their power. Why would a Witch who focusses on plumbing the deeds, sayings, life and cult of Iomedae or those of a given Angel or those of a pious mortal figure learn to access Occult, Arcane or Primal power but not Divine power?

Tldr : beyond any other role it might have, what if the Patron is actually how the Witch gets their power, through studying it thoroughly, and not necessarily the source of the Witch's magic. Possibilities abound.

This was born from my frustration at not being able to create a PF2 character that would get Inspire Courage before 8th level without having to be a master of Occult spellcasting (aka Bard).

Though I originally envisioned it as a Bard Archetype, it can be applied to any spellcasting class.

Dabbler : whenever you would gain the ability to cast spells of a certain level as a class feature, gain a Class Feat instead.

I like that this will help with multiclassing too.

If you feel that gaining a Class Feat at 1st level would be too strong, a variant would be to apply Dabbler only after 1st level. The result IMO would be rather similar to a one-level dip in PF1 as far as casting is concerned, but whatever.

Note that I did not bother with creating a full Dedication and its corollary feats for this archetype. Which showed me a design constraint in PF2. The way Class Archetypes are described in the CRB, you have to use Dedication feats even when it is cumbersome.

I guess the Dabbler will be weaker than the base class, but not cripplingly so I hope and I feel it opens new possibilities for character builds.

What do you think ?

Liberty's Edge

When I first tried to create a PF2 DEX-based Fighter, it took me some time before realizing that DEX to damage is for the Rogue class alone and not available through Multiclass (Rogue Dedication).

It also occurred to me that when we will get PF1-style archetypes, their specific features will need to be declined in specific Multiclass feats, at least for those that are not locked in the archetype.

I propose that any class feature (whether base Class or oldschool archetype) that is not available through Multiclass would be identified with the "Exclusive" Tag.

This way, we can at a glance see which class features require the Class (or archetype) itself and see that the others will be available through Multiclass.

Hi, I forgot to change my payment method when it was deactivated and received the appropriate reminder.

I then tried and created a new payment method with my new VISA card (which expires in 2020) and used it to allow payment for this order.

I do not know if it worked or not.

The products' pages show a "You purchased this product Wed, Sep 6, 2017", but the pdfs do not appear in my Downloads and the payment to Paizo does not appear on my card's history. And the order appears as Pending in my payment methods's screen

What do I need to do to correct this and get my greedy hands on these hot pdfs ?

Thanks in advance for taking hard-earned cash from this humble customer :-)

Liberty's Edge

Good day to you.

I received my Order 4046955 in pretty bad shape : the package was bent in several directions on one end and so was In Search of Sanity that took the brunt of it.

The backcover of Haunted Heroes Handbook was slightly bent too but stays serviceable I guess.

This is the very first time this happened to any of my orders and I do not wish to keep the bent AP volume.

How can I get a new one in mint shape ?

Thank you for your time and help,

Christophe Gallen

1) If a Hunter takes the Shade of the Uskwood feat, does he gain access to the additional spells ?

2) If yes and if he multiclasses with Druid, are the additional spells available for use with both classes' slots ?

Do contestants really have to reference page numbers for monsters? What if they don't own a particular bestiary, even though the monster is on the PRD?

Then they should do whatever they would do to solve that same problem if it came up when writing a project for Paizo.

We only have two rounds left to see the quality of a Superstar's work. The winner of this contest gets a contract to write an adventure for us, and that adventure must meet the Paizo style in how things are done.

Requiring contestants to show they can do that doesn't feel at all unreasonable to me.

It's certainly a reasonable request, but I do still have some concerns about accessibility. I do appreciate what resources are available. In any case, I think a larger discussion about this is important, but I don't think this is the right thread for it. Thank you for your response.

I do not think that this thread is what Stephen had in mind. Still, I have all the Bestiaries and if I can help by providing any page numbers that would be needed, I am quite willing to do so. Just PM me and I will give you the info.

Be aware though that I am in France, so my answers might arrive at strange hours rather than at once ;-)

I do not think this is against the rules, but if it is, please tell us at once as I am most likely not the only one who wishes to provide this service ;-)

I believe the stars are right for this unveiling.

If I am in the wrong, may the Outer Deities of Moderation cast this thread in hellish banishment before anybody gets hurt :-)

In the immortal words of Jacob W Michaels, who did this great public service in previous seasons.

A Superstar tradition: List what you're voting for (up to 8 this round) so we can get some idea where things stand.

Keep in mind that just a fraction of the voters will contribute to this, so it's not a perfect predictor.

Dear Customer Service,

I have not used my main alias for years now.

Is it possible to switch it with this alias I am using, which I constantly use in the forums ?

Best regards,

"Your sidecart is suspended and will not ship until further notice. Please contact customer service for more information."

I obey, O Great and Terrible Lords and Ladies.

Your humble servant trembles and awaits your dreadful message.

Note however that my sidecart apparently includes many books I already received. I placed my original order for the non-subscription books quite some time ago (as in many months ago).

At the moment, I am most interested in getting my subscriptions' pdfs as soon as possible. Please tell me what actions are needed for this.
