    The Day that Thanadros Lost

    Thanadros was a great warrior of his tribe, next in line to be the clan chief. His achievements were great and he always won the day, conquering rival tribes, defending the land from orcs, gnolls, and other, nastier creatures. He was a paragon of his tribe, all of the young tribes men would often say they wanted to be just like Thanadros. Some tribesmen even named their children after him, hoping the name would bring their children strength. That all ended one rainy night on his way back from hunting when he ran into a group of “humans.” They attacked instantly, with not warnings. Normally this would not have been a problem for Thanadros, but they wielded strange powers that he and his men did not understand. Not magic mind you, He was more than accustomed to dealing with magic users. This was different, and it took him and his men completely by surprise. It did not take long for him and his men to drop…

    The Day that Thanadros Died

    Luckily, These strange men only incapacitated him and his men. He was jolted conscious by some sort of shock, and he was in a room with a group of young men one of them clearly the leader of the bunch. His men were there, lying next to him unable to move. The man began speaking to them in a very dated form of common, making it very hard for Thanadros to fully understand. But he was able to understand enough. This man was creating what he called an “army eternal” comprised of his “children.” He wanted to overthrow some sort of council. After that the man did something to them, something he couldn’t remember. The only thing he could remember from the experience was that he was carried out of the room, still paralyzed and that the people who were on the floor next to him, his men perhaps? They were drug out of the room, dead.

    The Day that Thanadros Escaped

    Everything prior to that night seemed a daze to Thanadros, he couldn’t really remember who or even what he was. He was placed in a stark white room with three other people. He was now able to move but was too exhausted to speak to these people. The next morning was literally hell. Each of them were given a number, Thanadros was # 283. They were separated into different rooms, and they were, in the only words that Thanadros could explain, “mentally tortured.” It was not long before Thanadros realized that they were being brainwashed. One of his “room” mates was taken away once his spirit was broken, and a new person was brought in to take his place. However, Thanadros new that he was getting closer to his breaking point, and he wanted nothing to do with this evil army. He talked with his mates in the room and they decided they would try to escape. The next day when they were to be taken they four of them knocked out their guards and took there clothing, and left. Leaving the place was like a maze, and there were a lot of his “brothers and Sisters walking about” They were almost home free when they got to the front gate and the guards their attacked them, they being clearly out of place. Somehow Thanadros was able to will the mental attacks off, and even some of the damage. Thanadros escaped into the nearby wood, along with another, the other two, killed in the skirmish with the guards and hid, slowly making their way farther and farther away from the fortress that was their imprisonment. The other’s name was Ranin, a young man whom seemed to have a strong spirit and a quick mind. After nearly a week of fleeing, the two decided to split up, thinking that it would help through the pursuers off. Although he felt different, and realized he had forgotten all he new of being a tribesman, Thanadros still had a semblance of memories from his old life and wished more then anything to return, and he made his way back, although do to his foggy memories and disorientation, it took him a few months.

    The Day that Thanadros Left

    Thanadros was celebrated at his return, and he was happy, but that did not last long. He was startlingly different that what he was to the tribe. Although he looked the same, and was a strong as before, he had lost his skills in fighting and hunting. He was unable to participate as a leader in formal gatherings, had forgotten traditional ways of speaking and acting. This could have been fixed with time perhaps, but then his psychic powers started to manifest in strange ways. Thanadros did not need to sleep or eat or drink. Wounds seemed to disappear from him, and while he was trying to learn to coat an arrow with poison, he was able to will it to happen out of thin-air, without the aid of traditional magic. The Tribal chief and council gathers and discussed this and decided that Thanadros must have died and his body had been taken over by a demon, trying to sneak its way into the tribe and take it over or worse. However instead of death, perhaps because of his past with the tribe, he was exiled from the tribe, never to return. So he left the strange place he had tried to call home. on his journey so far, he has figured out how to control his powers that he has manifested and he has now made it to the first sign of civilization since: Sandport.
