You got what on that listen check? Oohh, too bad. Stretching to a 19-20 seems very worth a feat. The question is: would it only apply to a weapon or class of weapons? Unless they've changed it since then, one of the earliest developers' articles said that different weapons would have different abilities or styles for the fighter using them. Comparing how much a weapon hits for with a crit probably isn't going to be the end-all for judging weapons against each other. James Jacobs wrote:

Ah. I read the plot thumbnails for the first few issues of CotCT but forgot the titles. Nicolas Logue wrote:
Have to swing by B&N to look for that, not been there as much the last couple months since a certain something (or 2) isn't on the shelf anymore. Also I've either missed out on or forgotten seeing anything about Edge of Anarchy. When/where is that going to be available? I just picked them up earlier this year and read them all within a couple weeks. Finally looked at the site and Martin said he was not going to post any more dates for a release until he turned it in to his editor. That was June I think. Thought I read somewhere that some network was working on the rights to do them for television but I can't imagine doing any of them as shorter than a miniseries for each book. Nicolas Logue wrote:
Was mainly curious. Although it's got me thinking of a parallel adventure with someone employing an eldritch machine to bring about a risia concurrence for some other reason. Maybe a rival group to the one that was causing that fire plane coterminus event from the last of 3 module eberron arc from a few years ago. hmmmm.... Lilith wrote: Risia is the ice plane, IIRC. For snow it doesn't have to be super-cold, just cold enough higher up for ice to form. You'll probably get wet, sloppy slushy snow, but snow nonetheless in Sharn. ...and it will tend to stick (not melt) once fallen because of the ash mixed in :) Was having a bit of a brain-fart on the higher altitude temp being more important than ground level for snow. Either way thinking of describing it as like Dante's peak or that volcano under LA movie with Tommy Lee Jones. Heck if I get the chance to run this, most of my usual players probably wouldn't even have it cross their minds. Nick,

First third is above ground in a rural area then it moves underground and Spoiler:
Aboloth are the masterminds behind it. Expanding their dominate abilities by hundreds of miles is what they're attempting. To stop them the heroes eventually must infiltrate one of their cities and put a stop to this project. Kinda an early AP but it doesn't have quite the individual segments. Real good for a group that is into roleplaying and dealing with different power groups both good and bad. Lots of side areas that players can check out for exp or extra loot. Another surprising thing was that drow weren't included in the adventure except as a side trek that could be developed. Only real problem would be converting it to 3.5 :( Caseman wrote: One of the issues in my campaign stems from party dynamics. The outspoken character-actor type is the one with the biggest beef against Lavinia. The quiet types at my table have little real problem with her, but the character-actor tends to sweep them up in his enthusiasm. Maybe saying the entire party hates Lavinia was inaccurate. Most of them could take her or leave her, but the really enthusiastic one hates her so it looks like the entire party does from behind the screen. I know she has a low wisdom score but I can't recall Lavinia's Sense Motive modifier. If she's picked up on this characters disdain, maybe have her ask to speak to him in private then pull the player out of ear shot also and ask him what is beef is. With out an audience, the player/character might not feel the need to be so bold and might actually listen to her or have to explain himself without having to maintain his limelight image. Main thing is to have her be truly concerned and curious about what she has done to engender this attitude. As for the bailout campaign start, have her say that a friend of hers who works at the jail told her about some people that had a bit too much to drink but aren't that bad, could use a little help and that they also looked like they might be able to help her with some of her problems. Ironbriar's clothes is what really gets me. Uck. As for the ears, it's been said by several Paizo staff that Merisiel's are pretty much the length and angle they're going with for Golarion's elves. Shalelu's pic in issue #1 was before they'd quite pegged down the elf look. I believe there is going to be a new illustration of her in Pathfinder #3. DaveMage wrote:

My credit union merged with a different one in September and as a result I received a new credit card. I hadn't updated it yet on my subcriptions here so when the order was placed for Gallery of Evil and Pathfinder #2, it came up as payment method failed. I've always seen it as the defender cannot make any aoo based on the attackers movement. Look at the feat tree to get there, Dodge (AC bonus against a certain target), Mobility (increased AC while moving through threatened squares). Spring attack seems to build on that by allowing you to approach then withdraw from a specific target while not giving them an opening to attack you, at least based on your movement. Snake-eyes is still the best imo. First figure I ever got was the ski-mask, goggles, & suspenders. Then they made him a ninja before ninja were everywhere. I stick with the spells per day, not spells per sleep routine. Otherwise it gets them out of balance with druids and clerics, for example, who prepare there spells at a set time each day. Aside from the couple hours they had before the worg brought the orcs, it sounds to me like they have been traveling not just staying awake.
