On the day I got married, almost 9 years ago, my mother-in-law shooed me away from her house (where the wedding was being held) and told me to keep myself busy until 4 pm, when the wedding was to start. She insisted that she didn't need me at all to finish getting ready.

I had friends in town, so we spent that afternoon gaming.

I got to the house for the wedding on time, and in changing into my tuxedo I just put everything in my pants pockets into my tux pockets.

While standing up front while my wife-to-be walked down the aisle, I had a hand in my pocket and realized I'd stuck a d20 in there. I thought "wow, I'm getting married with a d20 in my pocket. How gamer is that?"

Since then, I've always carried a d20 in my pocket for good luck. It's not the same d20, but I've almost always got one in my pocket. *checks* Yep, have one now.

I think you might have to do this one on your own. What kinds of things are you looking for the PCs do/be? Maybe I can help point you in some good directions.

There are two types of a Godzilla RPG game I’m interested in exploring. The first one casts the PCs as the walking, fighting monsters. A player could actually be Godzilla-like; perhaps Godzilla could be a base class. The second type of game has the PCs being human, and having to endure, defeat, and survive living in a world full of attacking monsters; in this version Godzilla would be a savior, but getting his help would be tricky.

In game type one, a crew of Godzilla PCs mixed in with a Mothra NPC, for example, may have to journey into the outer reaches to thwart Cthulhu’s invasion plans. This type of game could allow players to experience all 28 Godzilla movies from the inside out – perhaps each movie could be an adventure.

In the second game type, a band of human PCs (or other race-types) may have to venture into a city under attack by Kaiju and its spawn, for example. After discovering why it is attacking they would have to lead/summon Godzilla into action. Godzilla would have to be called into action by gaining his attention, and this may involve monster politics, and monster intrigue, and monster myth & lore. All the while, the PCs try to stay alive against a backdrop of giant monster battles. And of course, survive against petty human politics and competing factions.
